McCoy Millwork has a vast array of moulding and stairway products. They are my number one source for residential trim in Portland.

I agree and when I needed a small item, this is the first place I went. The woman working was rude and unhelpful, so I left. Upon leaving, I saw racist graffiti on the pillar of their store. Two weeks later, the racist graffiti is still there. It's too bad they choose to leave it. Poor experience overall for sure. * edited to one star: hi again Steve. I removed the previous review because of your reply that named the employee I complained about. I cannot allow her name to be used, it's unethical. My behavior is, as always, honest and completely unproblematic. How about you erase the racist graffiti, or do you not even know Billie Holidays music?

I love that this store exists. They've been around Portland for almost 50 years. They are a salvage…read morestore specializing in hardware, lighting, and plumbing from 1860 to 1960. Really, I see two use cases for the store: 1. If something breaks in your old house, you can bring it in to show to them and see if they have a replacement. 2. If you have time to kill and want to get lost, you can wander around their giant maze of a store, looking at stuff. I'm not sure the store is organized enough to be useful for large projects. For example, if you wanted to get a full set of cabinet knobs, or multiple windows, you may or may not be able to find matching ones of them all. But if you want one of each to replace your current ones, sure! That said, staff has always been great. They do their best to help and know the store better than anyone. So if you're looking for something specific, it's worth it to ask. You can email in with pictures and they can look around for you. They accept returns for two weeks which is great because sometimes, no matter how many times you measured, what you got doesn't fit. Some of the descriptions on their website that really ring true: "we are mostly just a wacky junk store" "it may take many days to take a good rummage around" "we offer assorted collectibles, trinkets, whatnots, and whoziwhatsits" And be sure to look out for hippos of all kinds distributed through the store! Maybe a fun scavenger hunt for kiddos?

Broadway Ace Hardware - We kept a lot of the historic charm of the building when we did the renovation. These bricks are almost 100 years old!

I placed a pick up order from online and the cashier called the pick up order to be brought forward. The customer service and cashier argued back and forth about whether or not I even placed the order or was at the right store. I confirmed the information through the cashier while he was quite literally hacking up a lung. I can only assume how condescending the customer service people were with how the cashier was also sour to me. Eventually someone else came up to take the line and told me I could go back and they'd fulfill my order. Dumb and dummer were trying to redirect me to purchase a different bag of salt even though I'd already paid for what I wasn't getting. The system ace hardware was pretty stupid and this review isn't about how they couldn't fulfill my order, I don't blame the customer service people for the mix up because that was out of their control. The customer service employees (several. Very braindead expressions) just shrugged and said the only thing to do was cancel the order through my phone. Thank you for reading this novel of a review. Probably a sitcom working there and free entertainment to shoppers. Expect no service. A man was also waiting (from the time I arrived in the store until a little before I left) for a case to be unlocked. Surprising it took so long to help the man considering the group of 19 year old alternative kids in the back.

When folks say it is cheaper at the big box corporations ~ for the most part everything needed is usually found here and a closer drive. The local neighborhood community relationship is what keeps us coming back here. Something different when the staff call you by name and say see ya next time. This place gives better service than most restaurants and do not expect a tip!

I contacted Site One April 7th via their website email and gave them the license plate number of the truck, the time and location that the rock cracked my windshield. I told them I'd send a bill for my out of pocket cost for the windshield replacement. I emailed them April 18th with a copy of the bill for my windshield replacement. If Site One LLC pays for the windshield that was cracked by the rock from their truck, I'll upgrade my rating to 3 stars (OK). If not, I will change my rating to 1 star (Edk! Methinks not).

I called Jenna several times, letting her know that the incident was recorded and their driver told me to call the office--no return call. I emailed Jenna and Mark, who I found out was the owner. No reply. I'll have to file a claim with my insurance to cover the damage to the windshield and hood of my car. I recommend that people do not do business with this company, period. They are not responsible for the damage their trucks have caused to others, even if state law holds them responsible for debris that falls from their trucks. They must have insurance to do business. This is terrible!
