Waiting room/reception area
Jenna K.

Went here 2 days ago and had a quick and good experience. I called for an appointment and was able to get in the next week, I'm usually in Mesa but I decided to go up to South Scottsdale since I wanted to be seen earlier. I had a 4:30 appointment and got there at 4:15 and was basically taken right back and met the doctor right away. No one else was in the waiting room. I had a weird feeling in my ear and wanted to get it checked out. There's a big TV you can see what's going on inside your ear, I sat down and she took a look. Everything looked clear as far as earwax went, she did say my eardrums were bent inwards and mentioned some solutions (allergists, testing, etc.) but reassured me it wasn't a huge issue. I paid $30, I had heard things about it being free if no earwax was found but I still paid even when my ears were super clear. Still an overall great experience, I was in and out within minutes.

Luckily my wife saw a commercial for Sound Relief and thought I should look into them. Best decision I've made. I first called and spoke with Michelle. She did a wonderful job of listening to my issues and understanding my frustrations and concerns. She thought I would be a very good candidate and I made an appointment. When I showed up, it was a very welcoming environment and I met Michelle, who was extremely nice and made me feel at home. We discussed briefly what was going to transpire during my visit. Dr. Wickey came out and took me back to her office and she went through a great presentation about Tinnitus and their approach to reducing the effects of it. After that I went through the best and most detailed hearing test, that I have ever had. Dr. Wickey was able to map the exact sound, frequency and volume of my tinnitus which she later programmed into my hearing devices. I hadn't realized how bad my hearing had become. Dr. Wickey showed me different options I had for getting some hearing devices that also had the sound therapy for my Tinnitus built in. My insurance would cover a lot of the cost, but I told her I would need to discuss the purchase with my wife. She understood and gave me a set of hearing aids on loan so I could experience them while I made my decision. I was very surprised by that and extremely grateful. After discussing the options with my wife, I decided to purchase the Premium hearing devices. I came to the decision knowing that I would use these basically every waking hour for the next 3-5 years or longer. This was another great decision. The technology is mind blowing. The amount of control over what I hear in my environment is astounding. I hadn't realized how much I wasn't hearing. My Tinnitus effects have decreased significantly and will get even better over time. Going to Sound Relief has changed my outlook for my auditory future. I would like to thank everyone at Sound Relief for making this such a pleasant experience and truly understanding my concerns. Thank you all.

After the initial visit and the issues I had, Dr. Clark reached out to me personally and offered me an appointment with her to review my situation. I accepted her offer. During the appointment, we reviewed my case and she was able to offer suggestions that were more reasonable both in scope and price. I had also gotten second opinions from other providers during this time. But after comparing the different providers, it was obvious that Dr. Clark's office was the best fit for me. I really appreciated Dr. Clark's personal touch. I will be getting hearing aids in the near future and Platinum Hearing will be my provider.

There was no volume, they squealed and screeched in my ears. The people around me could hear the noise. The Audiologists told me to try the Phonak, and again the Audiologists could not adjust them and again they screeched and squealed in my ear. I bought several microphones as they told me they would help, still no calibration. Again, at their suggestion, I bought a Widex Allure. After weeks their Audiologists could not adjust them to my hearing needs. They led me on to believe if we kept trying, which took me out of the 30 day window. I finally decided I was being a fool. I kept doing the same thing over and over expecting a different answer. After thousand of dollars and way to much time I returned the Allures, in which, Platinum Hearing took a $500.00 return fee. They were the ones that couldn't calibrate them, as they never stopped screaming into my hears. I now have a pair called Signia. American Medical has them where I can actually hear better than I have in years and they don't make any screeching sounds. By the way, their Audiologist and owner only works 1.5 days a week and the second one 3 days a week. They were just not qualified to take care of my hearing needs.

I am so thankful to Good Sound Audiology for the thorough, exceptional and genuinely caring help…read morethey offered my Family recently. From a Family who is plagued with ear troubles and most of them living in places with an abundance of local quacks that barely earn the price of the copay, tending to throw darts carelessly at any issues and send you on your way, it has been greatly refreshing to both me and my visiting Family to find excellent Doctors and facilities here in the South Valley. Hardest sell on Doctors of our lot is my Mom. Her local hospital has noted in her file that she does not like Doctors. No, really. Unfortunately, my Mom's hearing has been degrading at a terrible level for some time now. She typically leans toward naturopathic heals but I've never seen a decent hearing aid carved from hemp stalks, so decided to find her a quality professional that could help keep her in sound with the world at large. All of the little sounds of everyday life that most of us take for granted but that people with challenged hearing are brought to tears by when by what seems to be miracle work, they are blessed to hear again after long whiles of inability, if they ever have been able to. I have seen this first hand. Sounds of children laughing, birds in nearby trees, lawn mowers running down the street while a neighbor is out doing their weekly chores. Think about the orchestra of life around you and then imagine If half or more of those players were silent to you. Big stuff. By referral, I got some help for her from Good Sound Audiology and she and I are so very thankful for their kindness, their knowledge, the advanced level of quality of the products they carry (I had no idea all of the options available now!) and how simple they make it to make visits for help! Fans for life!

I came to this facility to get evaluated for sinus concerns and hearing loss…read more The first time I met with someone, I felt the staff was so nice. Every visit after that was a $$$$ show. I frequently had to wait 1-2 hours for a scheduled appointment in the waiting room. I had a hearing test and the only thing they recommended was hearing aids. I somehow knew I wasn't crazy, but no one seemed to understand what was going on. After seeing 4-5 ENT's, I finally was referred to Jacob Ossoff who immediately gave me a diagnosis of otosclerosis. He referred me to a surgeon. I am having the surgery next week to finally fix my hearing loss. It's so comforting to know I will soon be able to hear better. My advice to anyone struggling to get answers is to keep on trying. You will eventually meet the people that will help you get the diagnosis you need.

Absolutely unprofessional. Have some common decency and have this talk in private safe space. I was so embarrassed leaving that office. I would not wish this upon anybody. Later, I reported back to doctor. Hopefully they find kinder and properly trained people to work with.
