After many decades of drumming and taking every opportunity to see the awesome bands of my day, my…read moretinnitus became more than a minor daily annoyance. I knew I needed help with my tinnitus and hearing loss, but I didn't want to be one of those persons who spends a gob of money on hearing aids, then doesn't use them. And here's where Dr. Kelly Hanscom really helped me out. I sport a shaved head, so it's not like I have luscious locks to help hide hardware behind my ears, so I really wanted to go with jamming the whole shootin' match in my ear. Dr. Kelly advised me on the available options and clearly explained the pros and cons of the different styles of hearing aids. I used a set of loaner hearing aids until my ordered units came in. Dr. Kelly tuned the loaners (and then my person devices) so that I would receive greater amplification of the frequencies in which my hearing is deficient. But she didn't overdo it. This seems to be where a lot of new hearing aid users experience frustration. I've heard several people say, "I'd wear them, but they're too dang loud!" Dr. Kelly artfully managed the acuity and volume of my hearing aids over the course of three months. As she explained, if a new user gets too much volume at first, it can be "jarring." That's the perfect word. So, over the course of three months, Dr. Kelly eased me into the "power" of my new hearing aids, and she also spent plenty of time ensuring that the fit is perfect and that I understand how to maintain and care for my new devices. I love wearing my hearing aids. It's been four months. The tinnitus therapy is wonderful! In fact, my wife can tell by my mood at the end of the day if I have been wearing my hearing aids. Without the tinnitus therapy, she says I am noticeably more anxious by day's end. And don't forget to say 'hello' and be nice to Franchesca at the front desk. After just a few visits, she had my name down and she regularly offers me cookies when I visit. Don't struggle another day with your tinnitus and hearing deficiencies. It's not only affecting your quality of life, but it's also affecting the quality of life of your family, friends, loved ones, and co-workers.

I spoke with the corporate and they said that this specific location should be able to work with us because the staff made a mistake with what they said, but the doctor did not want to accept our side and said that we needed to pay anyways . We were there for literally 10 minutes and had to pay $500 for both of our daughters and they did absolutely nothing.! do not choose this place!!!

After seeing the doctor, I was billed another $175 dollars. She ordered a CT scan that I did not get and as I was checking out the clerk said I should save my money because the surgery and the follow up appointments were very expensive. Without the CT scan how did the clerk know I would need surgery??? DO NOT buy their Netti pot they are cheap and when I opened mine up it was full of black hair. Find another ENT specialist. She removed my whole thyroid and also, without my knowledge removed all of my parathyroids. I was released from the hospital with no meds, no instructions. and no knowledge that she had removed my parathyroid. She was pregnant and ready to deliver, I think it was her last ditch effort to make a final buck before she went on maternity leave. I went home and procceeded to have a huge problem, I had to call 911 as I was not aware of needing any meds. I was never told that I would need ( for the rest of my life) to take medications, and not being aware that she removed my parathyroids, I had no idea that I could have gone into heart failure. I had several very bazar spells or episodes over the next several days and called 911 several times until I finally went to an endocrinologist whom them found that I was not on meds to substitute for the lack of my thyroid and did an ultrasound and found I had no parathyroid. Over the next several years, I have had many episodes that I thought I was dying. Not until this year did I find a doctor that resolved my situation. But I lost 10 years of life struggling with an unknown issue. Until this last year. I finally have my life back. I have to take several meds at four different times of the day just to stay alive. So, please stay as far away from this woman as possible. She almost killed me. Oh I forgot to mention, after the surgery for some reason, I can not longer sing. She obviously damaged my vocal chords. This is devistating for me as I am a musician.

My daughter's tonsillectomy was a year ago and was an absolute nightmare. A simple and common procedure that resulted in permanent disfiguration. Worse yet - no accountability or follow-up care provided by the doctor or her office. Their explanation of what happened in the OR was like a scene from Black Mirror. I wouldn't be exaggerating to say that this was traumatizing for my family. I waited a year to write this review - with hope my daughter's scar would heal and choosing Dr. MacKechnie wouldn't still haunt me. No luck. My daughter has a permanent scar on her cheek due to a burn from the cauterization tool - a careless mistake. This doctor and her office have done nothing to even attempt to rectify this. Of all the decisions I have made as a parent, choosing this doctor is probably my biggest regret.
