From the initial consultation, the staff were friendly, patient and understanding of my nerves. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Giles was great and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The procedure took less than 20 minutes and was painless. After the procedure I experienced very little discomfort and after a few days, any discomfort I did have completely went away. I experienced dry eyes for the first week, but since then that has also gone away. Being able to see is the greatest gift and I am beyond grateful to TLC for giving me the gift of eyesight. If you are nervous to get LASIK, know that I was too, but wish I hadn't been so nervous because in the end I had such a positive experience.

The staff are all friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions and concerns throughout the entire process. I knew exactly what to expect going in and coming out of surgery thanks to them, and the surgery itself only took about 10 minutes. I've had fillings that were way worse! 0 pain or discomfort. I'd describe the surgery itself like a slightly more complex eye exam. I opted to go with lasik over PRK, after talking with Dr. Rose (who is absolutely outstanding) and I was seeing clearly just a few hours later! Never once did I feel pressured or under informed. I couldn't recommend these folks enough! I struggled with vision since the 5th grade, and for the first time in my life I can just wake up and see!!! I had terrible eyesight before the surgery and I have a neuromuscular disorder that can cause double vision. We decided to correct both eyes for distance rather than one for distance and one for reading due to my risk factors with double vision. I will continue to need reading glasses but in the week since the surgery, I have 20/20 vision for distance and I am beyond pleased with the result. I see better now than I have since 4th grade. The procedure itself was fast and relatively easy - I didn't love the procedure but Dr. Varr counted down each step of the way and it was fast. I do have greater light sensitivity but that should eventually fade. Overall, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Great staff, good experience (I can't say great since I don't think anyone, including me, truly enjoys having their eyeball operated on), and exceptional eyesight. Do yourself a favor and get LASIK at the LASIK Vision Institute.

I had a disappointing and truly weird experience with this LASIK provider. The staff used high-pressure sales tactics, pushed a credit card I wasn't comfortable with, were wildly disorganized, and were unclear about scheduling and payment plans. The day of my surgery, they claimed I needed another eye exam--despite already having one during my initial consultation. They got me confused with another patient and the woman who worked there seemed like she was confused about everything happening around her. Wasn't feeling super confident at this point but I was already there and prepped. A minute before my surgery they suddenly decided I was no longer a LASIK candidate because of some major issue with my eye they doesn't seem to exist according my actual eye doctor and they didn't appear to see during my eye exam during the consultation. Weird? They recommended a different more expensive procedure instead. That was the final straw. I walked out and requested a refund for the deposit I already provided them. The overall experience was disorganized and sales-driven rather than patient-focused. I'm glad all of that happened actually because I didn't bother to look them up on BBB until after all this happened. Had I seen the BBB complaints before hand I would never have proceeded on the first place.

The whole surgery took less than 10 minutes, and I was in and out of the office within an hour on the day of the surgery. The procedure was painless and the slight burning later in the day was gone by dinner. My vision was immediately better and as of today my vision is 20/15, better than 20/20! And it'll keep getting better since your vision isn't 100% final for 3-4 months. I can't say enough good things about my whole experience here. I am an eye doctor in New Jersey and was trying to help a patient of mine who was working and living in Massachusetts He had a severe conjunctivitis in one eye and I thought it would be prudent to have him checked locally. I called Dr Keamy's office and this staff member decided to make up a diagnosis herself over the phone (she would not listen to me or get the facts) refused to continue with making the appointment for my patient. She put the patient at risk for potential loss of sight. When I tried to talk to her she would yell and then hang up the phone. The Patient ended up going to Reliant Medical Group and was treated immediately and appropriately for conjunctivitis.. I hadn't seen an eye doctor in years and was perfectly happy going along like that until my husband insisted it was time for me to have my eyes checked. I had visited this office years ago for an issue I was having with eye pain. The doctor I saw at the time has since left. Based on Ashley P.'s review I made an appointment with Dr. Cristina Lopes. She gave me a thorough, quick exam and recommended glasses, although she did say my prescription wouldn't be too strong and since I wasn't complaining, the choice was up to me. She did show what the difference would be with and without the corrective lenses and I opted for them. The women that I dealt with in the Optical shop were awesome. I had a very hard time making a decision and they didn't make me feel rushed in the least. When I had narrowed it down to two frames they offered to get them in other colors for me to see if that would help me make a decision. The other frames came in within a week and it was an easy decision after that. My glasses were ready in less than a week. During the exam, Dr. Lopes did have a concern with the measurement of one of my nerves and ordered another test and referred me to Dr. Keegan Johnson, also at this office. She did tell me not to worry, that everything was probably fine, but she thought it best to investigate a bit further. I had the test and saw Dr. Johnson. She was also very thorough, quick and professional. While she also reassured me that everything was most likely fine, she did order an additional test. That test also came back normal, and now they will just monitor the situation to make sure there are no changes. Everyone I have dealt with at the Center for Sight has been professional and reassuring. I would recommend them for your eye care needs.
