Advanced has missed my pick-up twice in two weeks AND TURN AROUND IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE in a cul-de-sac. Call to get pickup rescheduled and no response. When a route list and even their own name on the trash cans can't get into a trash truck driver's head, I don't know what will. Awful service. Find a dumpster: that's what I'm going to do. read more

We've been using Advanced Disposal for our curbside pick-up & recycling for a number of years. They bought out the company we had been using. The service continues to go down hill. And now they are charging us if we switch to another provider - quite significantly I believe - either $100. - 150. None of this prevents them raising their rates periodically. And now for the 4th time - they have failed to pick up our recycling - Its a large trash can and its always out the night before. I've called them all 4 times, were told 4 times that they'd take care of it - Only once did they send someone out to pick it up - the other times the can sat there until the following week. And we're paying for this. I have left a message to speak with a manager - I need to get away from these people. read more

I have had problems with this company specifically with the recycling pickup. They leave the bin lid open every. single. time even though I put a bright green tape with the message "please close the lid-thanks". If it is raining, it will collect icky rainwater that I have to empty out. They also tend to leave the bin sitting in the street. But more irritating, they have missed my bin several times this past year, but usually, I just cram everything down until the next weeks pickup. However, a couple of weeks ago, it was completely full so I called and was assured they would be by within 24 hours to pick it up. Didn't happen. So I sent another message saying I would have to collect the recycling in a cardboard box and leave it on top of the bin for the next week. Next week, they came, took the box off the lid and put it on the roadside, still full, and emptied the bin. So I sent another message saying that when I had to put the contents of the box and the box in the bin, it is now, once again, completely full. Again, I was assured someone would be by to pick it up the next day. Not surprisingly, no one came by so I have just resigned myself to slowly cram things in every week as much as possible until I have gotten it back down to the usual amount. Poor service, not once, not twice, but all three times. If the city of Roswell had another option, I would use it. read more

The service of this company is horrible! They missed several pick-ups and simply did not respond when I complained. The straw that broke the camel's back (after using them for more than 10 years) is when they broke the container. I phone the company 4 times and their promise to replace it did not materialize. Eventually I switched. After reaching out 5 TIMES to pick up the container, they have yet to come!!!!! All I received is a promise that it will happen tomorrow but it just does not happen! Do not bother with them. read more

I just finally had to cancel my service. I have two cans for trash and I use both of them. But for some unexplained reason they only pick up one of them. I had to call them almost every single week to have them come back and pick it up.But when I leave one can and some bags next to it, they do pick them all up. I had to call them every single week to have them come back and pick it up. Until today... I called them to have them pick up the other can, but the "customer service" agent said I have to pay for it!!! She said I must double pay for the pick up of second container in order for them to pick it up. It doesn't make any sense because if leave trash bags next to the container, they pick them up for free, but I leave them in the second container, I have to pay for it. An agent was very rude and wasn't trying to help. This is why companies lose their customers. I wish her supervisor and a company owner knew that her actions made me cancel the service because of her rudeness and unwillingness to resolve the issue. read more

Service is good, but the billing department is horrendous. They repeated lost my electronic payments sent from Bank of America. I spoke to three "customer service" reps, and none were able to help me out. They have repeatedly threatened to send me to collections for an alleged past due balance of $47.25, where I actually overpaid them by $7.75. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ADVANCED DISPOSAL S SERVICES UNLESS YOU WANT A HUGE HEADACHE. Waste Management costs a bit more, but they can actually keep track of payments. read more

Advanced Disposal commercial division is the worst company I have ever dealt with . They started with add on fees ( fuel , environmental , impact fees ) They refused to credit my old bills but I was told by phone and email I would have a flat rate going forward. that was January and I finally cancelled my service in May after all kind of promises but no changes to my bill. As of July 15th none of my 6 dumpsters have been picked up and they just keep billing me . I have had a new company in place since my cancellation in May and have been told of several dates that advanced would be picked up but nothing. I have talked to everyone from Georgia , Alabama and Chicago / customer service , sales reps , accounting but still nothing . I had been with Advance for over 10 years , nice reward for my loyalty over the years. read more

This company is terrible and I wouldn't recommend to a friend or my worst enemy. Office and dispatch are just terrible to deal with. Haven't had my location serviced in over a month and they still bill me. I would definitely recommend people looking else where for trash removal services. read more

Awful service not even worth a star. We have been dealing with them for almost 3 years and every week it's a problem. We live at the end of the road so they have to turn there garage truck around in the yard. Well today since there was a car out there they decide since our trash can was "theirs" that he was going to throw it away and make us get a new one. We shouldn't have to get a new one because the guy can't turn around. This is sugar hill if you can't turn around or deal with traffic maybe being a trash guy isn't for you. Therefore I called the office and the mangers were very rude and stuck up for his employees because the cans our "their" property that "we" pay for. Don't get me wrong when your employee are right you stick up for them but when your employees are wrong they are WRONG and should get punished for there actions. I have never in my life had problems with my trash guys until this company and my husband was a trash guy for years in rural habersham. If he could do his job there y'all can Handle sugar hill and if not like I said find a new job. I highly Don't recommend read more

Absolutely the worse customer service I have ever seen. Never return phone calls. Have talked to at least 4 different reps, all say we will call you back, yet NEVER do. Believe all the reviews - pick another disposal company. read more

Everyone in this office has a different story. When I went to sign up for trash pick ups, the lady was so nice. I asked her what happens if I have more bags than the trash can will hold, she said not a problem, to put them by the trash can and they will pick them up. (Signed up for services, knowing I live in Sugar Hill) First pick up.....they did not pick up anything. I called it in they said on Thursday they would pick it up, they did not come till later that Friday. BUT WHATEVER! I had extra bags after the holidays, put them out, they did not pick them up. I called a different lady she said I had to have a work order. I told the lady about the women I spoke with at the beginning about putting trash out and she said that was not true. She said I would have to call in a work order. So today I called in a work order. A different lady now said nope, I have to purchase Sugar Hill bags to put my trash out. I told the women about everyone I have went though and she said, none of that was not true. She told me I could go look at there website. So I pay them to pick up my trash and if I have anything over I have to pay more. My trash can from AD holds 3 full lawns bags and they can NOT pick up 2 more bags for me. If it was not that I need this service (this they know) I would cancel. How can the same office have 3 different answers. I feel if I knew they would not pick up ALL my bags, I would of just stayed buying Sugar Hill trash bags. I would not of been upset had they told me in the beginning that I would have to pay extra if I go over my trash bag limit. read more
