If I could give them a half star, I would. I have never, ever had to think about trash collection more in my life than the past 12 months. They missed pick up after pick up they did adjust my bill once for a $15 credit in the beginning but the skipped pickups continued to happen. To get in touch with customer service you are going to have to leave a message because aside from ONCE has ever answered the phone ANY of the times I have called. And don't hold your breath for a return call. I would take my trash down to the curb the night before and when I would come home the evening of pick up and the trash hadn't been picked up- I would call and leave a message- and then the next day when I returned home and the trash was STILL there I would call and leave ANOTHER message about it this would go on for a week until my pick up day rolled around again- and then it would be picked up. I finally resorted to Facebook tin attempt to find someone- ANYONE that could help me, so I put "Access Waste in the search bar. A picture for an access Waste truck came up that was posted- So I commented on it in a hopes to get the attention that I deserved. Not only did Lauren respond in a very unprofessional manner- she even called me a troll. Superior 5 star customer service right there... She then went onto send me a private message on FB telling me "Leeann you need to know what you are talking about first. BOSS has ZERO to do with me... your trash will be picked up today. We will be issuing you a credit for $15. Things have been a little overwhelming with BOSS going out of business unannounced and leaving thousands without service & money...."She could have just returned my call as she had my number, in my account as well as in one of the many messages I left but being a "keyboard warrior" seemed to be acceptable. Meanwhile, my trash would set out for days in hopes that they would come by and DO THEIR JOB that I had already PAID for- I was getting letters from the HOA about my can being at the curb for more than 24 hours- again and again and again - having to pay the $25 on the last violation so it wasn't taken from my deposit with my management company. The time that I did get Lauren on the phone she acted like it was MY problem that she was short on drivers and promised that someone would be out to collect the trash THAT day. When I told her that the last time it was picked up, it was a gentleman in a regular pickup truck and he was just reaching in a collecting the bags in reach and leaving the loos items in the can. She said "Well that's because it's not in bags!" I was never informed that all items needs to be placed in bags. There is nothing on the can and nothing in the contract. If I am cleaning out my car in the driveway and I have a few granola wrappers to toss out and a Gatorade bottle- I am not going to go inside my home to get a bag to put the few things into so the trash company will collect it because they don't have an actual dump truck anymore. Also- every trash company I have ever been with has always been happy to empty the bin and collect the items around as long as they were in a bag- unless otherwise notated ,like grills, furniture and anything crazy- I totally get that) She said "I'll give you a $15 credit" ....on what??? I pre-paid for my services and I am canceling future services... so.... You wanna cut me a check?
I got a new invoice for Dec- Feb. I let them know that I was moving and I was NOT going to be using them at my new home and that all I wanted was the services that I had already paid for (and wasn't getting most weeks)through the end of November. Pick up were still missed during November and on the final pick up- I will admit that I had more trash than normal because I threw a lot out due to the move. I bagged everything in black trash bags- nothing open- nothing falling out. Nice and tidy set out the night before. I had a feeling they were going to try and screw me over on the final pick up and sure enough- they didn't disappoint- the came out and took the bin (as my services had been canceled) and left all the bags. Seems that even if there was a limit on how many bags that were allowed to be collected per week- (even though there isn't ) all the times they just didn't pick up at all would be taken into consideration.
To top off story time- despite canceling my service I get an automated text stating that my trash bill is past due and that I needed to call 678-324-8675. I called and Lauren (if you're paying attention she was the owner at access Waste- same person here) answers the phone "Pickers Waste" I explain to her me name and address and that I have canceled service so there is no way that I am behind on my payment. She said that she would fix it in her system. Bottom line they don't give a crap about providing good service. They have several different names that they go by including but not limited to ; Access Waste, BOSS Sanitation, Pickers Waste read more
