I have had to call West Cobb Sanitation three times to pick up my recycling. They just forget to drive their trucks down my road on my scheduled trash day. I've called management three times. They apologize and give me a credit, but never correct their issues. I don't understand what's going on there internally, but do yourself a favor and find another trash service. West cobb was great once they got bought out by this new company all they care about is the money not the customer. Last time I made a payment I had payed an extra $40. Just like clockwork my trash and recycle was supposed to be pickup today and it was missed. I looked at the website and said I didn't pay, well I never got an invoice to pay the other $40, would have been nice to know. I ended up paying but now I have to wait another week for them to pickup. All they had to do is email or call is all it takes, I would understand if I was 1 month behind but not a week. Do better with your customers. read more

In terms of customer service and follow through, they get a grade of F. NICE and polite when you call but there is no follow through. My 92 year old dad started valet service and they have yet to pick up although he is paying for it. You can call them but they do not come pick up and you have to wait a week for next pass him by!!! These folks.we're not thoroughly vetted before selling them the business. Shame on west Cobb sanitation doing this to its loyal customers. They're the best! The trucks are so quiet that sometimes I don't know when they're nearby. I have missed them but I don't mind because they come not once but TWICE a week. I used to have another company but their prices went up and they would only come once a week with recycling every other week. Switching to west Cobb sanitation has been a great experience. Update...our cans were worn through on bottoms. I've called to discuss this . Was given an update on new can procurement . In no time our old cans were picked up/removed & the next day a beautiful new heavy duty "rolly" cart was in our drive right where it belongs!!! Again, priceless service! Been a customer of these guys for my household trash service for 16 years...ever since we moved out here from Smyrna. When we moved in 16 years ago, they were already servicing our neighborhood, and their service was great. Their prices were really reasonable as well. But over the years, and especially here lately, their service is nowhere near what is has been in the past. In truth, it's nowhere near what it was 6 months ago. I frequently put vegetative waste at the curbside, not bagged, not bundled. Just piled neatly next to the curb. Until Memorial Day weekend, they had always picked it up without any special requirements other than nothing over 4 feet in length. So...I did some major pruning on my landscaping over Memorial Day weekend, cut everything into 4 foot or less lengths, and put it out by the curb as usual. The first pickup came and went, the pile remained. I attributed this to having to double up their routes after the holiday and didn't even think about it. Second pickup...pile was still there. So my wife calls them...and they inform her that the debris has to be bagged or tied in bundles. Really? Yeah, I can easily bag or bundle a pile about the size of a full-sized truck bed. Just 2 weeks before they removed a similar pile without incident. This time...they want me to do all the work. To this end, I spent yesterday hauling the pile off myself and dropping $10 on a haul ticket at Cobb County's vegetative waste facility. Maybe I should just subtract that haul ticket from their next billing...since now I am doing their job for them. What this tells me is they are no longer about service...they are all about the quick and easy money. If they have to spend more than 10-15 seconds at a house, apparently they are not making enough money. Quantity of stops is obviously taking priority over quality of service. I find it funny that they 50% more than they did just a few years ago, but they do 1/2 the work and deliver 1/2 the service that they did at the cheaper price. Guess that's the new way of the world... Looks like I might be finding a new company to pickup my household trash... read more

I've used West Cobb Sanitation as well as their pinestraw service for 15 years and cannot recommend them enough. Personal service, the twice per week pickup is fantastic for families with diapers! Their trucks don't speed through the neighborhood or BACK UP into cul de sacs, which is so dangerous. And for years, I dreaded spreading pinestraw, but when they do it all you have to do is sit back and relax and it's done in minutes with a smile. They are locally-owned and invested in our community in West Cobb too, not some chain buying lists. read more
