I went in for a consultation. They took a few x-rays and the doctor looked in my mouth and noted the problems I was having. They typed up an estimate for the work I need done. They gave me a price of over $12,000 for a cleaning and 2 crowns. The costs are out of my price range. I paid $89 for my consultation then I left. A month later they emailed me an invoice for $290 for x-rays. I think the facility and staff were very knowledgeable and professional but I think the billing is underhanded and unethical. I was not given any notice upon making the appointment that I would have to pay this high price and get nothing. read more

Dentists are supposed to preserve teeth as long as they can and educate the patient. Although each worker was nice, that's where it stops. If you've got good insurance, they will continually tell you. They managed to have you sign every document as to avoid any accountability. Their business practices are aggressive dentisty at best. I confirmed and then canceled my appointment as I wanted a second opinion and they charged me $40 after I physically went into cancel versus not showing up. Their bill for new partials, a crown, inplant, night guard and four fillings was over $5000. The dentist that got my business saved my teeth, partials, no night guard needed. They recommended an implant, however, I could go for another five years with the crown I have. Overall cost $463. Do not recommend at all. read more

Dentist, hygienists, and front desk staff were professional. Billing is a nightmare. You may be overcharged so check your bill and insurance claims. 1) This office charged an out of network routine dental cleaning charge when they should have charged me an in-network fee which would be around $40-$45 versus $100 plus. 2) My first visit to this office was around January 2021. I did not find out until about 2022 that that bill for the first appointment was not fully paid and somehow I ended up with a balance of over $250 owed. I have primary insurance through my employer and a secondary dental insurance coverage so I should not have any charges at all. Also be aware for any additional charges like a panoramic xray ($200+) may not be needed when the office can do a bite wing or extra fees tacked on like fluoride rinse or exam assessment for braces/invisalign ($10 ) This particular office was not successful in ensuring that the costs for my visits were covered & it wasn't until spring of this year after sending several email messages and making multiple phone calls that I finally received some sort of response from the office with an explanation that because I have two insurances it took a lot of time to reconcile payment. I lost confidence in the person handling billing and payments so I canceled my follow up dental appointment and sought treatment at another dentist. This new dentist performed the cleaning and exam and the office staff ensured that this particular appointment and the costs associated with it were paid in full by both insurance companies and that was completed in less than a month. I did not have a billing issue with this new office and I did not have a billing issue with the previous dental office that I had before going to Advance Dental.I left that office only because I moved to Ocoee and Advanced Dental was closer. My recommendation is that this office look into their billing practices, billing system (possibly upgrade), and consider hiring an additional office manager with experience handling dental billing and payment. read more

My mom was denied services because she "didn't know English". The receptionist was extremely racist despite telling her that she was competent enough to proceed with the service. Dr. Jamasi and her entire staff are the perfect example of "putting the patient's needs first!".. They are always kind, professional and caring as soon as you enter the office and the work ethics of the team is consistently amazing from the front office staff to the team of dentists, hygienists and technicians! The atmosphere is very calming and relaxing and there's almost always someone available to share a good laugh or a few life lessons with because they all make you feel like one big family! Last but certainly not least, they were extra kind in understanding the daily pain I was experiencing as a result of a motor vehicle accident.....which made almost every task or follow-up appointment difficult for me due to the constant pain and sleepless nights and did there best to schedule me during the day with enough time to overcome my current medical issues and still be able to work on my dental treatment plan. I now have a picture perfect smile and I would definitely refer Advanced Dental Care / Ocoee to all of my family and friends! Now I'm going to miss the smiles, laughter and kindheartedness of the office staff, so I'll be volunteering my time there as soon as I can just to give back! read more

Dr. Hunter and staff work very professionally to meet your dental care needs. This was our first time and I took my dad for check up/treatment plan for tooth that needed a root canal. They answer phone and set up appointment quickly. Short wait time, even routine paperwork wasn't finished before being called back. Assistant, hygienist and Dr. Hunter all were thorough and friendly. I have been in the area for 5 years and before finding Dr Jamasi and the rest of the ADC staff, I had been to two other dentists. Both previous dentists were poor to mediocre experiences- ranging from unpleasant front office staff to seriously rude and abrupt dentists themselves! So at my first visit with Dr Jamasi I was cautious. However, the front desk staff were professional and friendly. The dental assistant was efficient and personable. My dental hygienist was fast and kept up a verbal banter that made an otherwise uncomfortable procedure seem fun. Most impressive of all is Dr. Jamasi. I instantly felt at ease and in good hands when she entered the room and throughout the assessment, presentation of my treatment plan and the work she did on my teeth. I wanted to go here for a professional cleaning, but the office said I couldn't have this service unless I had x-rays. Because of a medical condition, I have received excessive radiation throughout the past two years, and I don't wish to have further radiation. I don't have any reason to believe x-rays are necessary, I don't have any pain, and I've never needed any dental work beyond a typical filling. Other health and medical fields don't give you x-rays unless they have evaluated you and suspect something is amiss. However, the dental field insists everyone has x-rays upfront and yearly because it is easy money in their pocket, not because it is necessary. The fact that they won't give me a standard cleaning unless I agree to x-rays, when they are harmful for me because I've already had too much, is proof of this. I'm okay with the dentist possibly "missing" an issue because I declined this service; I'm not okay with them dictating that I "must" have a service that I don't want. read more

This is honestly the best dental experience I have ever had. I had not been to the dentist in a long time and I was struggling to find the courage to go. After doing my research I chose this location and I'm so glad I did. Every staff member I have interacted with has been wonderful. Jessica worked will me to move my assigned dental insurance to their location within minutes of me being in the door. I was planning on paying out of pocket but with her help there was no need. She has also helped me anytime I have come in or called experiencing tooth pain. She also ALWAYS returns your calls if you leave a message and makes sure you know that the office has not forgotten about you if it's been a while since your phone call. Shannon was so pleasant to work with and she eased my anxiety in no time. She answered any questions I had and was so supportive the whole time. Dr. Hunter was just as great as the rest and she works very fast! As someone with anxiety it's a great relief to have someone complete your dental work very fast. She was reassuring the whole time and addressed any concerns I had. When I left, Chris was able to help me with understanding my insurance and provided me with valuable information that I would not have known otherwise. After I was refused a script for paid meds (usually you get 12 to 15 Tylenol with codeine after an extraction) I ended up in the emergency room last night. I was given hydrocodone, a shot and also muscle relaxers due to the chronic pain my back and neck was in from the brutal extraction. I am checking out the "doctors" on the Department of Business and Professional Regulations. If they can't even write a script - they are probably not even real dentists. read more

Just left the office. My procedure was two fillings and the extraction of a large molar that I now don't even think needed to come out. It was a strong healthy molar and had only dropped a little due to having had the tooth below extracted a few years back. After the fillings Dr. Montero started the extraction (a tooth I had no problem with but she contended it had to be removed). The extraction was a NIGHTMARE. The pain was so bad I had to make her stop and give me more Novocain since the dose she gave me had worn off during the drilling for the fillings. I am 54 years old and had tears roiling my cheeks it hurt so bad. Then as I was checking out I asked for my script (usual practice with a difficult extraction - usually 12 to 15 acetaminophen + codeine). The doctor refused and therefore I am now at home in excruciating pain. Never go back - this place sucks. read more
