Eric ,the resident bike tech, was very helpful today. While he was not able to repair my spoke, he tried to find a match and gave me the information needed to obtain one. This place is close to my house. I've passed by it a few times but it always looks closed. Took my chances today. Its a small store. Performance bikes. Blick and y outlets miss it. Note: We are an online retailer of folding bikes. I am withholding our name because this review is about Eric and Advanced Cycles and not about us. I had called Advanced Cycles and spoke with Eric about our customer needing some work done on their bike. Eric was quick to diagnose the issue and find a solution. I have been in the cycling industry for 30 years and found that there are two types of shops: The Business minded shops and the Passionate minded shops. Being a business is just fine, but having that passion for cycling does so much more for the sport. Eric was always positive, friendly and a great tech. Unbelievable customer service. I came in right when they opened one morning. There was a guy in there working on a project and he stopped and asked how he could help. I handed him a flat tire of a stroller tire that I had previously tried to fix a couple times. He was gracious to take a look while he was clearly in the middle of something else. He quickly took the tire/tube off and wiped it down and inspected it, finding a large shard of glass embedded in the rubber that I had missed. He searched for a few minutes for a new tube and couldn't find one (awkward size). He quickly patched the tire, teaching me how to do it in the future. We talked about inflation, tube integrity, and general care for tires. After 15 minutes of service, he handed back the tire. I left with my problem fixed, a newfound understanding of how to care for my bike, and appreciation for Advanced Cycles! I can't recommend highly enough. read more

Eric is AWESOME! I am not disparaging any of the other employees, But what Eric did was fantastic going way above and beyond! I had given this elderly lady an 3 wheel tricycle that I had but needed to be really tuned up. I met up with her and the bike and it was obvious at about 75 years old and 5 foot 90lbs, It was going to be a challenge for her. I left him with the her and the bicycle and she was going to come back and pick it up by 4. When she got there he had it up on the rack but was not finished (SAME DAY) and could she come back @ 6:00. She came back and when she got there Eric had it on top of HIS CAR, realizing she would not be able to handle it, then took it to her house and took it off for her to put in her garage! Cost? NOTHING FOR ANYTHING! Her was just being a good person. I love his values and from now on my wife and I will be using Adventure! 15 mins out of our regular shop is worth it for people and businesses like this!!! read more

I have an old bike that was given to me. Since it has been in my garage for 12 years without being ridden, I wanted to make sure it was in good working order. From my experience you have to be pretty careful when selecting the right bicycle shop. If you're lucky you can find one with an incredible mechanic. If you're really lucky, as is true with Advanced cycles, you can find one with passion too. These guys are the best. I simply can't say enough to show my appreciation for all they do. I bought 2 Pinarellos at this shop. Spent over $15,000.00 dollars in this shop. One day I found a crack in my F10 Pinarello. Right away that's when everyone starts running away from from you. Both Pinarello Co. and Advance Cycles aka Laz can't back up their product that they highly recommend to their customers. It's like calling me a Liar. They frame they sold is a defect. They automatically said there was an impact on the frame. I haven't even had for a year. No sign of crash or scratches other than crack on the frame. I bought in September 2018. Also Laz attitude is nasty about it. Laz already forgot that I fork out $13,000. for that bike. He has no compassion to his customers. Once his taking your money, good luck on your bike. I hope nothing happens to it. He will give all the none sense excuses. He did offer me a new frame Laz want me to fork an additional $2000 (crazy) for a new frame. Like I said he loves to take your money. (examples of excuses: he will say, I'm loosing out by selling you this frame for $2000) It's all about him loosing money, not thinking his customers situation. Like his playing the victim. Loyalty Laz none. Future customers, do your research buy it somewhere else. You don't want to run in with Laz attitude it ain't pretty. read more
