Okay, I wish I had taken before and after pictures because prior to me bringing my three bikes to Trek bicycle in Lake Mary, they were looking pretty shabby. After the maintenance and replacement of tires for all three bikes I have to say they look pretty close to brand new. I was amazed by the job that the bike text did at this place. While pricing was a little higher than I expected based on what they did for my bikes and having my bikes delivered to my house I'd say it was worth it. But the text at Trek bicycle did a fabulous job of not only cleaning my bikes and making the necessary maintenance and repairing of or replacing of my tires. But they're very knowledgeable on what they were doing and walked me through the process. When I had brought the bikes in initially. There were no hidden fees. No unnecessary charges. They were very straightforward and what they were offering and what they could do to service the bikes and get them back to riding condition. read more

I've really wanted to like and support this store over the years. The guy who has serviced my bikes is awesome, but today was the second time I've been treated rudely - and both times were incidents where the business door was open but it was apparently 2 minutes past the closing time in the first incident and 3 minutes before opening time today. Again - both times the business door was unlocked and slightly ajar - and both times, upon stepping into the store, an employee yelled at me that the store wasn't open. Not a greeting, not a how can I help you? Not a smiling approach to a customer who was ready to spend a lot of money on a new bike. No, they were inconvenienced/annoyed by a customer who walked through their open door, and even basic civility was too much trouble. read more

I rarely leave reviews for companies with the exception of those that provide outstanding customer service in a world where it's lacking. The entire team at the Lake Mary Trek store was absolutely fantastic. My fiancé and I both purchased new bikes and gear from them. There was zero sales pressure, we were encouraged to sleep on our decisions, test ride them on the weekend, and settle on the ones that worked best for us. Old bike was dropped off for service with a great up front estimate and transparent repair process. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. These guys are awesome. read more

Trek is great product but the experience/encounter here was really unsatisfactory. I haven't had much issue at my 'home' shop Jacksonville. I've also been at Seminole/Tampa and they along with the Jax staff have been okay prior to this instance. I put 1 stars because they at least had the product I wanted, in stock. If there was a zero option I'd do that. Background: Just bought a bike, now been buying a lot of accessories. This time in search of a hitch bike rack, a Kuat NV 2.0. Jax location didn't have the one I wanted and directed me to this store (Lake Mary) who had stock. I paid in Jax (July 25) and gave a date (July 31st) that I would be swinging by on the way to Tampa. Explained to Jax staff I would be driving an SUV with a borrowed rack, 2 bikes, 4 people plus luggage. I suggested that I'd go to Lake Mary's, pick up the BOX and have Jax assemble it or do it at home. Jax store said that's fine, paid for it, and left. My (multiple) problems arose when I called Lake Mary 5 days out (Mon July 27th). I asked if I could pick it up early since it's just a box. The rep Jordan states that "it must be assembled" before pick up. Glad I called bc I wouldn't have been able to come with all of the things stated above AND an assembled rack. She got my name and number and said she'll coordinate with Jax and call me back. NEVER called back. Tues comes, I called the Jax store about the situation. They called Lake Mary, and they told them the same thing, that it must be assembled. I told the rep, if that's the case, I'm going to have to need to drive down there early to pick up the stand by myself to be able to transport it. Jax rep called Lake Mary. He said that they said the rack will be ready by end of day Tues or first thing Wed. He told me that he'll follow up at the end of day (Tues) to tell me when it'll be worked on. Never got a call back. No call wed either. I decided to call and follow up with Lake Mary store Instead. Talked to Sue. Explained the situation. Puts me on hold, returns, and says "it'll be ready in 5 minutes, you can come by anytime today." I drove 2 hours. Get there at 630pm. I tell the rep what I'm picking up. He looks around and looks at the computer. Says it's not built because the computer says July 31st pick up. I explained to him Jax said they've already coordinated to push the pick up earlier, I confirmed with rep before coming that the rack is ready AND NOW he's saying it's not ready. He explained that the rack Sue said was ready was for another customer picking up the same rack also picking up from another store. He kept repeating that it's scheduled for a later date (even though I coordinated with both stores okayed for me to pick up early). Rep kept insisting. cut me off as I explained. He stated, "well we can go ahead and assemble it now, but you talking me is holding us up from assembling it." He also iterated that no one from Jax store communicated to them that I'm coming early either. On top of not being ready, another rep (white shorter rounder guy) at the store cut off my conversation as I explained that it I wasn't aware that racks had to be assembled before leaving the store , hence why I needed to pick it up early because I can't travel with it assembled with a full car on the 31st. I explained that other stores allowed me to do that on prior purchase we made. He to cut me off and said, 'that's a store wide policy, employees from other stores don't know what they're doing. We HAVE to assemble in store for warranty purposes." (I understand that a policy is a policy. But what I didn't like is this reps logic. If I were to order it online from Davids or Kuat, would it come delivered assembled for warranty sake? No.) I felt this rep just wanted to be 'that guy' who has to have the last say to make himself sound 'high and mighty.' So far;2 hour drive;non assembled/existing rack, 2+ bad encounters with multiple reps. NOW, As they assemble it, they definitely seem like it' was their first day. "Does it go here? I think it's the other way. Where's (x)?" They screw one thing on, to only unscrew it. They we're having a super hard time. YET it "HAS to be assembled in store for warranty purposes." The rack has a built in repair stand. Towards the end of assembly rep was trying jam the repair arm. He was about to take the hammer to it, until I stopped him and showed there's a locking mechanism and he said ohhhhh. And it slid right in. (rest of review in pictures) read more

The customer service at David's is amazing; a bike shop for the people. I do not have experience purchasing products per se from David's, but my experience with their service was great! A few years back I realized the front of my bike was crooked while riding with my family on the Seminole Wekiva Trail, so we decided to stop by David's to see what was up. They straightened it out front for me with a smile and no charge and I remember thinking they were really nice. So when we recently had trouble getting our bikes pumped up after a few years of nonuse, I knew where we were going to take them. We rolled in with 4 bicycles that needed 6 tires replaced between them. Despite being busy, given it was Black Friday, we were attended to immediately. The gentleman quoted us about $26 for each tire. We left the bikes and came back in about an hour. When we went back to pick them up, he was working on the last bike. He told us he only ended up having to replace 2 tubes because it seemed the others just needed a stronger pump to inflate. Now, this might not seem like a big deal to you, but for a family full of women who are used to mechanics, and the like, trying to hustle us, his honesty was refreshing and much respected. The people here are super helpful. I've lived in the area for about 10 years, and bought at least six bicycles from Trek/David's World Cycle for myself and family members. My first visit there was when I got a flat tire while riding on the trail. I stopped by their facility after hours without any money and they fixed my tire. I couldn't have gotten home except by walking with my bike for 5 miles. I was happy to come back the next day and pay them. I've been dealing with them ever since. read more

Pumps locks and bikes Bicycle pumps are strange creatures, it seems like a pretty simple concept but for whatever reason there are some horrible and very difficult to use pumps out there. Of course cheap pumps cut costs and can be expected to be less than ideal but I've had some expensive pumps from good companies that still sucked. I've come to appreciate Blackburn pumps and products and when I needed a pump down here in Fl looked for a bike shop that sold Blackburn products. I ended up a Dave's but found out that they no longer carried Blackburn stuff. Damn! However the folks there were very friendly and talked me into trying one of their Bontrager pumps. Told me that this is what they prefer and let me actually try it on one of their bikes. I could immediately see the advantages and ease of use and was sold. I ended buying the pump, a good lock and my wife bought some shorts and other stuff. Of course Dave's also has a nice selection of bikes, including mountain, comfort, kids and high level road bikes. I'm use to the gigantic bike shops in the northeast so the store did seem a bit on the small side but they do manage to jam quite a few bikes into a relatively small area. You can buy bikes anywhere, hell you can even get them on line. But service and knowledge is a bit more difficult to locate. At Dave's I wasn't pressured or hurried, they patiently answered all my stupid questions and then let me make my own decisions. Definitely a cool bike shop that I will be visiting again. read more

My family rides the Seminole Wekiva trail. We broke down David's World Cycle thank GOD!!! They took out bicycle built fir 2 in, gave us a great deal on two rental bicycles, very fair. More than fair. They ordered parts and got it fixed within a few days. Before this we have purchased several parts and hear from them. Prices are excellent, these are honest people. These guys were super nice and helpful when I purchased a Trek road bike a couple of years ago. Since then, not so much. I've gone in to ask about other products and the young dudes have offered monosyllabic answers, as if they wanted me out of there asap. Maybe because I'm an older customer. Maybe because I don't have the appearance of a cyclist worthy of their attention. I can't say for sure. My wife and I stopped by this shop Sunday (9-24-17) right at 11am when they opened after walking on the trail in Lake Mary. We have been researching bikes for a while now and went in to make a purchase. We were budgeting $2,000 for both of our bikes. One person was already in the shop getting service on his bike so we looked around for a couple of minutes. There were two employees there and no one greeted us until 5 minutes later. The greeting was a, "hey, how are you doing?" as the employee walked back to the maintenance area. About that time, another person came in with a bike and walked into the maintenance area and was immediately helped. We waited another 5 minutes and someone else came in with a bike and was immediately helped. The two guys saw us standing there staring at them waiting on service. They refused to acknowledge that we were waiting before everyone else. I take full responsibility for the poor service though, since I wasn't wearing the appropriate spandex. I will not be back and I suggest no one else go here either (unless you're wearing the required spandex that apparently guarantees service). read more

I purchased two road bikes for my wife and I here, as well as many accessories. The staff is extremely polite and even know me by my first name when I come in the door. They definitely make you feel comfortable with asking questions. They installed pedals and cleats onto my wife's shoes, at no charge, even though we didn't buy the shoes at that location. When you buy a bike from them, they will always give free brake and chain adjustments. Some of their stuff is a little pricey (such as their clothing), at times. There is that ONE person that works there that has been a bit overbearing at times, however my last experience with her was not as bad, since I had questions regarding one component and comparisions. She was extremely helpful when we were choosing our heart rate monitors and the comparison between them. I would always come back to DWC, even when I leave the area. From start to finish....customer service like it should be. Made me feel like I was transported back to the 1950's when the customer was the reason you were in business. First there was Casey who met us out by the window after the shop was closed to see if he could answer any questions while we window shopped. Then there was Tyler and his ridiculously incredible customer centric attitude, listening to everything we said and making recommendations to us based on what we had explained we were looking for and NOT trying to sell us something we didn't need. He was polite, professional, knowledgeable and just so doggone nice. Then there's Chris and Buddy who we met on a third visit to the shop. You know, you can fake it for just so long and then eventually cracks begin to show and you're like, ah, yea, I knew it was too good to be so. NOT TRUE! Turns out Chris is the manager at the shop and clearly he leads by example. I had just purchased two bikes from styler the night before and brought them back in for a couple of answers to some questions we had. You see, we just got into biking about a year ago and went the Walmart way for the bikes. Boy did we get what we paid for both in service and quality. Buddy and Chris met me almost the moment I walked in the door and even though they were busy working on other things, they were all about me. Where does that even happen anymore? David's World Cycle is where. They answered my questions, gave me more than I asked for by way of information and understanding and then, just like that scene in Back to the Future when Marty goes back to 1955 and is out in front of the service station and the attendants are hoping all over the place taking care of the car that just pulled in, Buddy grabbed the bikes, took them back out to my Jeep and loaded them on my carrier rack while I was finishing up with Chris. I kid you not! This place is the BOMB. And the quality of the bikes I bought? Shut up! It's like going from a moped to a Maserati! I wasn't really sure about spending the extra money to upgrade from what I was riding as it's definitely a bit more. But I f you count the quality of the bike alone, I got what I paid for. Factor in the guest service that I got from every single member in three different store visits, well, let's just say that I won't be buying a bike anywhere else ever again. I'm a customer for life. Being that this is in Heathrow and I have a Target-purchased cycle, I was hesitant to bring my bike here for service. They sell higher-end cycles and accessories, so I anticipated being sneered at a bit, but I was desperate so I sheepishly wheeled my bike in. So glad I did.
