So my insurance won't cover simple things for a foot injury, like yknow an orthopedic boot or a figure eight ankle brace. If they do it will be overwhelmingly overpriced. So. I'm lucky that the guys at Jewett suggested going here to get my post orthopedic boot! (Whoo! Finally out!). I came here to get an ASO Speed Lacer - I found one from Shock Doctor - the 851 Ultra Wrap Lace Ankle Brace (Level 3 Maximum support). It was ridiculously priced at $45 & Amazon had it at $27.48 - which do your research because Dick's price matches. So yay! The only reason I'm taking off a star was because no one helped me or asked why I gimping around the store or even batted an eye when I tried it on. So beware, you are by yourself in your search. But they have an excellent assortment of ankle braces!

Dick's Sporting Goods has always been one of my favorite department stores for things related to sports. This location is a great representation of the brand, the customer service here is probably the best I've experienced at any of their locations. The store was very clean and organized and the checkout process was a breeze even with the Christmas Eve rush. The parking can be a little challenging at times.

I had ordered a similar sandal by Keen in size 9, and it fit perfectly! I contacted Travel Country Outfitters in frustration. It turns out both Sandals were a size 9, but the Bali shoe appeared a full size larger. They have kindly offered to send me a return label in order to receive a refund. I will definitely order all my future outdoor needs from this business! Well done!

This family-owned business consistently goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. They offer a fantastic selection of outdoor gear, men's and women's clothing, and an impressive variety of shoes for hiking, running, walking, and more. They also have an outlet store on Ronald Reagan. I have not been there yet, but I can tell you that they have a lot of name brands, highly discounted, and right now the Hoka Speed Goat 5s are on sale for an awesome price. A special shoutout to Rambo, a very knowledgeable young man and an Eagle Scout, who went out of his way to help me find the perfect hiking shoes. I was torn between the Hoka Speed Goats and Topos, but thanks to Rambo's expertise, I ultimately chose the Topos. They even brought several pairs of the Hokas over from their outlet location to the main store for me to make a decision, which was amazing. I highly recommend Travel Country for all your outdoor needs!

I found this 'Groove Belt,' which is pretty much a game changer for me. It has a magnetic buckle that has two heavy duty hooks built in to keep it from coming undone unless you intend to unbuckle it, the belt is also 'one size fits most' so you can adjust it to almost any size waist. You can choose to leave the slack intact so that it infinitely adjustable for as long as you own the belt or you can cut some of the slack if its bothersome. The belt even stretches with you when you bend over to work so it never feels uncomfortable when keeping it somewhat taunt when my shirt is tucked in for the workplace; like I said, a complete game changer for me. We stopped in the Saturday after Thanksgiving and they still had a great deal on the belt. It normally costs $60 but was marked down to $39, I probably should have bought two of these things but I wanted to see how long it lasts in my work environment, only time will tell. Since we were there shopping, we noticed they had great deals going on for BCG training attire and all Magellan clothing. I purchased several pairs of BCG shorts and workout pants and one Magellan top at 50% off which was a great deal. Staff here have always been super friendly and helpful and the store is kept immaculate. I highly recommend stopping in to check them out if you're in the area.

However, it's only $10 now that I have my own life jacket (saving me additional cost of $5 to use one of theirs, as required). Well worth the low cost for some soul-enriching, communing with nature. I have never made a reservation. I normally arrive around 10:30, most recently on a Friday. Parked for free on Baptist Camp Rd. Just a bit of a walk from there with my inflated paddleboard, but I don't mind the extra exercise. You can unload your stuff closer, if preferable. There are port-a-potties available. You can count on there being a line in the check-in office. Various recreation supplies are available there for purchase. The process moves reasonably enough. A reservation will guarantee your entrance, however, and possibly aide quicker personal info collection. I always plan to do the Emerald Cut in roughly 3 hours round-trip, allowing myself several stops to enjoy the surroundings. You do run into (quite literally at times) novice paddlers along the way, which can be a bit tricky, yet not a real nuisance for me. In general, there's friendliness along the waterway. Slighty rowdy, party vibes in some spots, but also opportunities for solace and zen in various nooks. Encountering wildlife, fragrant elderberry, and other captivating flora along this stretch is always gratifying. It's a popular recreation destination for good reason.

My Hubby and I love kayaking, so we booked an excursion months in advance for Rock Springs through TripAdvisor. Our Tour Operator was Get Up And Go Kayaking located at Kings Landing in Apopka, FL. I LOVE saying Apopka ;) The good news: Apopka is a quick 1 hour drive from Orlando. Make sure you don't miss the turn to King's Landing, because the entrance is located on a narrow dirt road. You must drive past Kelly Park (which fills up fast). There is a Park Ranger located here who will guide you to King's Landing. As you get closer and if you see a parking spot, grab it! Check in is located in the Cabin like office where you will have to sign a waiver. If you do not want to take a clear bottom, guided Kayak tour, you can either rent or BYO Kayak versus taking a semi private, clear, guided kayak tour. NOTE: ONLY use their Sunscreen/lotion which is provided at no cost. It protects the wildlife and the Springs. We wanted the full experience as we have previously enjoyed renting clear Kayaks. Our guide for the morning was: Megan, who was fantastic! Full of energy, information and helpful tidbits about the Springs and its human and wildlife inhabitants. Our group was small and capped at 10. We paddled through both narrow and open stretches, and stopped to swim in the warm, crystal-clear water. One highlight was a banyan tree with an 8-foot natural "jump hole"--such a cool experience! It was a serene, memorable day, and fun fact: this is the very spring featured in the Visit Orlando commercials! Yeah, definitely take a day away from crowded Orlando to relax and enjoy Mother Nature! You will Thank Me ;)
