These guys were great I called them this morning and within 3 hours they were fixing my furnace I thought I was going to have to replace my furnace because it was an older unit. But the service technician that came out said that the unit looked in fairly decent shape for the age and made a few suggestions on repairing it . they asked me if I had any have answered all my questions for me before they did any of the work the price wasn't bad either I am really glad I have found this company they also put a sticker on my furnace with their name so I won't forget them, nice job read more

We had a technician come out from Advance Heating and Cooling to look at our Sensi smart thermostat to ensure it was installed correctly. (They are listed as an authorized dealer on the Sensi website.) After spending 2 minutes looking at the thermostat the technician spent the majority of the time in the basement where our system is located. (He apparently took it upon himself to inspect our unit which we didn't ask for or know he was doing.) The technician then came upstairs and proceeded to tell us our heater exchange had exploded and had holes in it which could leak carbon monoxide which would cause serious illness or death to our family. He showed us a couple of pictures of what appeared to me to be a rust spot and then explained how serious this issue was. He made sure to point out how he was looking out for us and our children especially our 6 month old daughter who was at home during the appointment. The technician told us not to run our unit and told us it absolutely needed replaced. I was left in tears worrying for the safety of my kids and how on earth I was going to keep them warm. The technician then proceeded to try and sell us a new system ranging in price from $9,000 to $21,000. He explained replacing the heater and ac at the same time would be cheaper so we should do them together. He also reviewed pricing with their financing option stating it would "only be around $150 a month". Most of the appointment was spent talking about what a new unit would cost. We have since had other companies come out and inspect the unit (mind you for half the price of the service call that Advance charged us) and they spent a great deal of time inspecting the unit and found no cause for concern. To top it off if the heater exchange was bad it would most likely be covered under our system warranty and therefore no need to replace our unit. Just to be safe we did get estimates from the other companies to replace the unit and the price came in thousands of dollars less. They also didn't push for us to replace both units at one time and just recommended replace what we need to when that time comes. Walking away from our appointment I truly believe the technician used scare tactics into trying to get us to buy a new system from them. On top of that the prices they charge are much higher than other local companies with much longer and trusted reputations. I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Cut me off going 70 miles and hour and then chased me to flip me off!! Dumbass, you cut me off!!! I called their office and ask to speak to the owners bout their driver. I was blown off and told the owner wasn't there. I was asked "what do you need". I explained what happened and was blown completely off! I asked if they would lime the pictures and was told no! Didn't take my name, phone number, never apologized. Possibly because the owner was driving the van?!?! Wow is all I have to say! I cannot even image their customer service skills! Pathetic! On Friday 7/19/19 I called Advance Heating and Cooling to diagnose a problem with my A/C. When the tech arrived, he took the cover off of the furnace, reached inside and told me that the blower motor was out. He never did any other tests to rule out any options that wouldn't involve me replacing the entire unit. Afterwards he gives me an invoice for 935.00 that states that I needed a blower motor and a motor mount kit. I was also charged 89.00 for the service fee. After researching the issue and seeing that the "diagnosis" that the tech gave (by sticking his hand in the furnace), was rare, I opted to get a 2nd opinion. The HVAC handyman that I asked to check the unit ran an electrical test. He was then able to conclude that it was not the blower motor, but in fact, the capacitor. The total for the repair was 70.00 vs. the 935.00 that Advance tried to charge me. After I called Advance to explain the situation and request the diagnostic fee back, they had the manager (who was not involved in the service call) call me back to explain that although his tech did not go through the necessary measures to diagnose the issue, there was nothing that he could do about the fee. read more

Only positive, the technician arrived at the time he stated, it was an after hours call. After a very brief check of the system, he spent the rest of the time telling me how expensive this repair "could" be and even quoted a replacement AC unit even before he evaluated anything. FYI the unit is only 6 years old. One of the most uncomfortable service calls at my home that I have ever been a part of, could not tell the truth from the BS. Would not recommend. read more

Hands down the LEAST professional service I have ever received in my life. The tech came to my house in the evening and could not fix anything because he said my unit was in thermal overload. He recommended we leave the air off for a few days for reasons that he did not care to clarify. Fine. That cost me $86. The following Monday, he came back out and changed a capacitor on the unit (the most common issue with heating and cooling equipment). Another $140 he got from me. He claimed it was fixed, and as the weather was not particularly hot the day, nor for about a week and a half after that, the cool air was not used. A few days ago, the weather got back up into the 80s, and our unit was not blowing cold air. I talked to the tech on the phone and explained the situation to him. He said that he fixed it the first time and that if I wanted him to come out to look at it, that would be another $120. I advised him that the issue with the unit was not fixed when he came out less than two weeks prior, but he refused to accept that he may have misdiagnosed the issue and failed to fix it. I called the main office to complain, and ask if they had another tech that serviced my area who could maybe come out and help us, to which the lady in the office said she would check and have someone call me. I received no call back. I called in today and spoke with the same woman who claimed that I was supposed to call her back, and put the blame off on me. She advised that she would have the tech call me later today and hurriedly got off the phone. It remains to be seen how this whole thing will play out, but my experience to this point has been so absolutely miserable, I would not use this company again if they paid me. Awful, terrible, pitiful people and shoddy service. STAY AWAY! read more
