Every time I come in for acupuncture with Dr. Shen, the process is smooth from start to finish. The insurance and billing process is also very easy. The front desk handles everything for me, and I only have to pay my copay, which makes each visit stress-free. I have been seeing Dr. Shen for the past couple of months and have completed about 11 treatments so far. She has helped me with several health concerns, especially my back pain, which has improved a lot since starting treatment. What surprised me most is how much she has also helped with my allergies. I can breathe so much easier now. Dr. Shen is very busy at the Pleasanton location, so sometimes I drive to the Fremont office to see her. Even though it is farther, it is absolutely worth it because she is amazing. The front desk is awesome about calling me when there are cancellations with her. My wife has also been seeing Dr. Shen for pregnancy and fertility support. We had been trying to have a baby for almost two years and had traveled countless times to Europe for IVF. After my wife saw Dr. Shen for about five treatments, she became pregnant. Dr. Shen has also helped her with migraines, which has been such a blessing for our family. What makes Dr. Shen special is that she truly takes the time to listen to her patients. She customizes every treatment and treatment plan based on our individual needs. I originally came to Eastern Medical Center for back pain, but Dr. Shen treats the body as a whole, and I really appreciate that holistic approach. I am so glad we found Eastern Medical Center and highly recommend Dr. Shen for acupuncture

I was excited to try this place for nagging shoulder pain that's been increasingly getting worse. I…read morelive close by and it's very convenient. However, I was very disappointed with my experience here, especially as someone who also works in pain relief and values Eastern medicine. * $155 for about 5 minutes with the doctor * No real shoulder exam, muscle testing, orthopedic tests, or nerve assessment * Pressed on a few tight spots I showed him in my shoulder and immediately decided on cupping + acupuncture without identifying the actual issue * 15 minutes of cupping, 20 minutes of acupuncture, and I left feeling exactly the same This felt less like individualized care and more like a "same treatment for everyone" approach. Eastern medicine can be incredibly effective when done properly, but this experience felt rushed, impersonal, and money-driven. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this level of care was unacceptable. I'm sorry to say this is an insult to eastern medicine. I've had eastern medicine and they never treated me without even identifying my problem.

He felt different parts of my body and seemed to know immediately what the problem was. Putting several needles in my right foot, the pain one one spot quickly subsided and minimized. I'm also taking herbs along with weekly Accupuncture sessions. I actually look forward to the needling sessions! He has a light touch and with the warm heat lamps, I've been finding myself falling asleep and snoring! You do have to be patient and allow time to pass. It isn't an instant miraculous cure. But Dr Key works on getting your body to improve and get back into rhythm. I always schedule my appointments but if he has space, he will let you walk in. He is incredibly professional and thorough, making sure to address every concern I had. I loved that he was not super pushy and made sure I was comfortable with everything being recommended. One thing that really stood out to me was how upfront the staff was about billing. I had some concerns due to a previous experience elsewhere, but Dr. Miry and his staff took the time to go over everything with me before rendering services, ensuring there were no surprises. That level of transparency was really appreciated. I paired my adjustments with shockwave therapy, and after just one session, I noticed a huge difference. Dr. Miry takes his time to really loosen up the muscles with therapeutic modalities before the adjustment, which made a big impact on my recovery. Unlike other places that push for unnecessary frequent visits, he is very reasonable with his treatment plans and doesn't over-treat. On top of being a skilled chiropractor, Dr. Miry is also very friendly and professional. He genuinely listens and makes sure to address all physical concerns. If you are looking for a genuine, honest, skilled chiropractor with affordable pricing, you found the right place!
