He said I could return it if the attachments did not fit right. When I told him that I was a Closter resident, he said to take the wiper home and try it since I did not have the car with me. He said not to pay until I return either satisfied or to exchange. He did not know me from Adam. Talking about trusting your costomer. That is A+++ in my book.

I was in for a simple task - I had to confirm the condition of my car with my insurance. Should be simple, right? Take pictures and report the condition of the car. But no - they badgered me about my registration and insurance, when in fact I was not required to hand over either one! All they needed was my VIN # and policy #, but instead of asking for those simple details, they refused to help me until I produced my registration (car was new, so I didnt have it yet). They talked down to me, treated me as I was not very intelligent, and can assure I will not be back. Beware of terrible customer service!

When I'm in a pinch, he'll squeeze me in so I try not to take advantage of this, giving him two weeks notice for repairs if they're not urgently needed. My male friends who go here say he is an honest mechanic as well, so I'm trusting my instinct he is. So far he's been keeping my 2013 car going with no major issues , so thank you to Magic Mike.

Cannot recommend highly enough…read more I had a breakdown over the weekend and my regular shop was booked all week (Anita Tire in River Vale) On a recommendation, I gave Tom's Automotive a call. Mark was extremely helpful over the phone and made time to take a look at my car the same day. I was afraid it would be a larger repair (catalytic converter) but he called back within 2 hours to let me know it was the spark plugs and coils. He gave me an estimate and his recommendation along with a cheaper option, in case I couldn't afford the more expensive repair. Work was done within 24 hours with great attention to detail. Mark, Tom, and the entire team were friendly, professional, and honest. In the interests of cost, I have driven pre-owned cars most of my life so I'm no stranger to the inside of an auto shop. These guys are the best.

We drove around the block and parked for restrictions. While we were sitting there -less than 10 minutes after driving it away from this garage- someone pointed out our tire had a bubble! A very dangerous undrivable condition. When I went back to Matt, he said that was not an issue, and he was correct to give us the inspection sticker. Obviously it's not. I would have been better off finding someone not squeezing me in so we could drive the car today. And Response was so offensive he doesn't deserve our patronage.

I'm not a big car buff and regular maintenance, inspections etc always lead to me being slightly unsure about what the service entails, what it should cost, wondering if I'm being overcharged etc... in the few auto shops I've been to over the years, there seems to be an unwritten "no questions" policy -- apparently we're all supposed to be auto experts. All the above is why I was so delighted by my experience with United. I was able to schedule my inspection with a quick and pleasant call. They took me in on time, conducted the whole thing in under 10 minutes and had me on my way. They were pleasant and kind and didn't seem so in a rush like other auto shops I've been to. They're family run which is nice too. Go check them out, you'll be in good hands!

Edgewares Customs is the best shop in NYC for e-micro and acoustic mobility service and repairs…read more I've brought multiple bikes there for inspections and repair work, and every visit has been met with exceptional customer service. What sets this shop apart is its clear communication, willingness to work through unique situations on a case-by-case basis, and honest, transparent approach to business. After one of my bikes was stolen from Prospect Park, Edge was able to track it down on Facebook Marketplace, a level of commitment you simply don't expect from a bike shop. Edgewares Customs is more than just a repair shop; it's a valuable resource for the local community. If you're a New Yorker looking for trustworthy expertise, reliable service, and education on e-bikes, micromobility, or bike maintenance, this is the place to go.
