Not professional, not knowledgable, no accountability…read more I called on Tuesday to see if I can leave my car with them Thursday to get a check engine light resolved and brakes checked. I mentioned it was important I get the car back by Monday morning for work and they said it would be done by Friday. 8am Monday comes around, no phone call last week, the weekend, I call they said they didn't know i needed it Monday morning, they are just starting it. They said no one told them that.. I then have to take off work. I get a phone call at 10:40am about the results, I need a new EVAP canister PURGE per code, which I received too on my device. Then over $900 for only my front brakes. I just say yes at this point because I have work at 5:30am the next morning and need my truck. I got to pickup my truck at 2pm, the guy at the front desk asks me about my display how it's not working. I thought that was odd, I go to my truck and now my radio screen/display will not light up or display. I asked what happened the other guy Mike starts yelling at me when I asked how can I leave it with you guys, you clear codes, and now my display won't work. He did try and do a few things but acted like he didn't know about it, but the other guy did? Very suspicious. Didn't want any ownership, yelled at me for it not being his fault. I now have no AC because I can't access my display on the hottest week of the year so far and they offered no resolution or offered to take it back in to try and fix the issue.. I had work done by them last year when I moved out here, I trusted them. I thought I had a local, reliable mechanic like I did where I'm from, but I see now that they're unfortunately just like all the rest. I'd pay their prices for a good experience and trustworthiness, but that is gone. I would recommend shopping around mechanics so the same experience doesn't happen to you.

I checked many places…read morelike, Auto Zone, Maverick, Advanced auto and prices was running from $160-$175 and they couldn't tell me the difference between a 136 amp and a 160 amp A friend told me of this place Cano Auto on Pulaski Rd and that they have great prices. I called to check it out. The guy that answered the phone was professional and nice and he said, his name was David. He let me explain my situation first, he looked in the computer and said, there are 2 options you can go for Lifetime Warranty or 1 year warranty. I told him for the 1 year warranty, because I'm a single mom with 3 kids and a mom and I'm on a tight budget. The price for an alternator with 1 year warranty with taxes came out to $133.and some change. Which its a great price. Now to find who is going to put it for me. I asked David if he knew the difference between a 136 amp and a 160 amp, he said yes. He told me that a 136 amp is for the basic electronic in a car or minivan, the 160 amp is for those who are planning to add a T.V or a music system. I asked him does a face off count, wait is it still called that cause I'm older. He said yes giggling. He said, its up to me which one, but he only had a 160 amp, but he can order a 136 amp if I needed it. So, a 160 amp for $133 and some change great price. Thank You David for the service, the politeness, for having a sense of humor and foremost patience with me. I totally recommend!!! Thanks for your help.
