We had an issue with our breaks while on vacation. No where could get us in, but Ford told us what we needed to do to fix the problem. Advance Auto Parts was out first choice of where to go, but the person who answered the phone refused to help us and told us to go to the Ford dealer. Good news! AutoZone across the street helped us and vacation was saved. read more

I waited for 10 minutes with a shelf item in my hand while one employee was on the computer trying to help a customer find a part and the other was on the phone. I politely asked if I could pay and the guy on the phone told me in a minute. After another 3 minutes I asked again and the guy on the phone told me I was rude, to leave and not to come back to the store. Rude, inconsiderate, and stupid organization. A real live customer with money in their hand always comes 2nd. read more

This shop used to be CarQuest but bought out by Advance. I bought a carquest battery for my vehicle at least two years back but maybe three years or a little more or a little less. Wasn't exactly sure. It had three year warranty and went kaput. Alas, I didn't have receipt but they were able to look it up and gave me a great pro-rated deal on a new replacement battery which I felt was totally fair. Once we had that worked out, the guy had the new battery in and running in under 15 minutes. A shop down the street said it would take them an hour (or longer!) to replace it given the cramped configuration of my engine compartment. That didn't faze these guys a bit. Highly recommend. Honest, fair guys that know what they're doing and won't jerk you around. Granted, that's my experience. And, of course, as my grandma (a farm girl from south Indiana) was found of saying "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar" so YMMV. read more

Our alternator went out in our RV and i originally put on a new one from the competitor only to find out the pulley had too many grooves and they couldn't find the correct one in their system. Went to Advance and the gentleman found the correct one and they had it in stock. I had told him my situation and that I was changing it across the street so he didn't even charge me a core charge so we wouldn't have to mess with the return. On top of that I forgot a tire gauge on the counter and he even walked it across the street to me so he wouldn't forget it when I came back. Great friendly service. read more

I use Advanced Auto for a lot of my automotive part needs, and along with that comes the convenience of tool rental. Which became a major inconvenience. I rent a lot of tools for Advanced Auto and had not problems with the tools whatsoever. Advanced Auto belongs to The Retail Equation (TRE). What I gather this is a service that Advanced Auto employs to monitor your high frequency returns. Because I rent a lot of tools from Advance Auto, I naturally have a high frequency of returns. In this past year I returned a power steering line. This past winter a power steering leak occurred, and I was unsure if it was the return or feed line, so I purchase both. It turned out to be the feed line and I returned the unopened return line. The only other return was Cooper Gasket maker which I returned this past Sunday along with a $287.00 rental of a cooling pressure kit, which was rejected by TRE. The following Monday I called their 1800 number on my receipt, and spoke with a person from India, who said I was warned about my return frequency in November by a printout on my receipt. I keep my receipts, went through them, and received no such warning. It was BS. He also told me I would have to wait 180 days before I can make any returns, with no exceptions. I was fuming and asked for a supervisor. The customer service person kept reading from a script which really escalated the conversation. Nevertheless, I then called Advanced Auto Corporate who then communicated to the Store manager and received my refund for my tool rental. The 1 star goes the Advance Auto Service Rep for her professionalism and help. The -4 Stars go to Advance Auto Corporate Policy Makers for employing TRE and no refund policy. Do they realize or care what I had to go thru to get my money back? This was totally unnecessary. They it took 2 hours of my life away for no reason! read more

This place has the worst customer service out of any parts store I've ever been into. Don't waste your time. Go to Napa or AutoZone. These dudes are like turtles on heroin. Trying to get anything from there's at least 30 minutes. I walked into Napa and got what I wanted in less than 2 minutes. I went into Advance Auto Parts and waited over 20 minutes and no one even helped me at all even though I was already greeted and talked to buy one of the service reps there. Absolutely horrible. I wouldn't even give them a star if I could! Terribly rude, knew nothing for people working in an auto parts store. Didn't even know how to help put chains on a car- nor did they give me any way to the fact that one of the 2 chains they sold didn't even fit my car. I even tried 4+different time to put the chain on. I also went inside multiple times to say that they were wrong and the men were very condescending to me. Ben the assistant manager was terrible. When a customer says that something doesn't fit or is defective they might want to help the customer rather then blowing them off. When we first even paid for the chain, the man next to us "did they seem really really rude?" Go TO AUTOZONE next door! read more

Not good customer service. Guy put chains on our car and took him 15 minutes to decide they were too small, then could not get a simple bag open for bigger ones, that took another 15 minutes, then after all this they decide to charge us the extra $18 for the larger ones even after this guy not knowing what he was doing at all.
