It was a Friday afternoon, so not ideal, but I asked that work not start unless they were sure it would be completed by EOD. I was told unless something "unforeseen happens" it would be completed and I would have my car for the weekend and for work on Monday. Unfortunately, this did not happen. The parts were not received until 4:30 Friday afternoon and they said they wouldn't have time to complete (they close at 6:00) without paying the tech overtime which would upset ownership. I asked if I could have my car back, but they had already taken off the necessary parts and it wouldn't be able to be moved until Monday. A second claim they made would be to honor another business's estimate should I find a lower price. 1 phone call to another shop and I had a written estimate for the same service for $434 vs. the $715 provided by Wayne's. I emailed a pdf of this estimate upon their request. When I picked up my car on Monday, I asked why I wasn't seeing the updated amount and Wayne's denied the validity of the other shop's estimate, stating the other shop would've had to come back and ask for more $$$ upon completion due to its aggressive labor time. Wayne's threw $100 at me for holding the car over the weekend. Hardly sufficient. Like I said, I want to support local businesses, and will continue to try in the future, but needless to say, I will not be coming back here for auto repairs. Very disappointing.

They actually did all the recheck stuff; check my lights and turn signals, refilled my washer fluid, filled my tires to 35 psi. That doesn't always happen. The guys in the service bay were really nice and courteous. The oil change was 10 minutes and the transmission fluid exchange as 20 minutes (because they had to pull out my battery to access the transmission fluid). They let me know what they were doing all along the way. I had a $20 off coupon from Valvoline so I used it. $75.99 for the oil change and $164.99 for the transmission fluid replacement less my $20 coupon.
