I'm giving this AutoZone five stars strictly based on the young lady that helped me. She was…read moreknowledgeable, helpful, and polite. She knows cars, and she knows the parts business. I'm really glad I stopped here. AutoZone on the other hand should blow up their IT department and start over. So many pieces of their computer system, their phone system, and even their POS system, really suck.

On January 30, 2024, I asked my daughter to take my 2016 Honda Accord to this location to have the…read morebattery tested since she had experienced a hard/slow start earlier that day. My current battery had been purchased at an AutoZone in Charleston within the last two years. At the time of this battery replacement in Charleston, the Autozone misdiagnosed the low battery as a bad alternator and sold me an expensive alternator. The new alternator was installed only to find the same charge voltage going to the battery as the previous OEM alternator. I had a Honda dealer check the replacement alternator voltage and they said it was normal and the OEM was probably fine. After complaining to AutoZone corporate at the time they agreed to accept the return of one they sold me and they gave me old alternator back. After it was installed on the car, I had the old OEM alternator checked by Honda. Honda confirmed the OEM alternator was operating as it should. I did receive a full refund and an apology from AutoZone for the poor business practices at the Charleston AutoZone. Back to the visit on January 30, 2024. My daughter asked them to check the battery. They used some type of equipment and said the battery was at 100 percent and the alternator was bad. When she returned home I checked the battery with an ohm meter which showed the battery charged to about 12.5 volts at rest. With the car running at idle and under load the voltage was between 13.95-14.5 indicating the alternator was charging as it should. If AutoZone is not properly training its employees nor providing the proper equipment to test alternators they shouldn't be trying to sell patrons a $300+ alternator. Not to mention the female employee was rude, not helpful, and didn't want to help my daughter in this situation. She actually told my daughter "You couldn't have come at a worse time".

My wife and I went to Addy Harbor Dodge Ram Fiat today to have our 2017 Ram Rebel serviced, 10K oil…read morechange and tire rotation. We are in town from Maryland checking in the new house we are having built in Conway. Since we are moving to the area in the next couple of months we are feeling our way around and checking the local businesses. This dealership is on my happy place list so far. We walked in and requested Express Service oil change. Staff waited on us promptly and with in 10 minutes had our vehicle in the shop for the service. I was waiting for an attempted up sell or complaint because of the over sized tires, nope, rotated without an issue and charged me significantly less that the local dealership I normally use and purchased the truck from. Wife and I wondered the lot while we waited, several sale persons approached but were very pleasant when we explained we were having our Ram serviced. No attitude or sales pitch, just a "okay, if you need anything let me know." Why 4 stars and not 5? Service tech left fingerprints and a smudge on our black truck. But we will use their services again when we move down here.

When we went to leave- we discovered that us, along with our vehicles, were locked in. After exhausting all options, including calling the number provided on the gate, (which was not in service) calling the police, who couldn't really do anything (not their fault), and calling every number listed online, we were forced to abandon our vehicles at the dealership. Unfortunately, this was on a Saturday night, meaning we went all day Sunday without a car. We arrived early Monday morning to try and retrieve our cars (about 30 minutes before opening), and were completely ignored by the service department employees. They looked at me knocking on the door from inside, and walked away. They only came to check on me when they officially opened. So, I was banging on the door for over 30 minutes like an idiot, because the employees couldn't care enough to check on us. When they reluctantly opened the door, I told them about our situation, and they spoke to me like I was dumb, before FINALLY opening the gate, just in time for us to sit in morning rush hour traffic on 501. I cannot stress enough my displeasure, embarrassment, and disgust for this place. The employees and management do not care, and will treat you like you're a moron and an inconvenience. Suffice to say, we will not be buying any vehicles from this dealership, nor any dealerships affiliated with this one.

And then told we will just use double side tape to fix the issue. Then noticed as well scratches on molding piece in attempting to remove it. They don't return phone calls. These guys are as shady as can be. Basically got the money paid and couldn't care less about the outcome. There is a reason 93% of customers rate them as dishonest and shotty workmanship. Believe me I will never nor refer this garage to anyone. Infact just the opposite. The owner and his henchmen are everything you hear about bad auto garages. Go anywhere but here. I even have pics how my vehicle looked prior to them working on it. Stay Away from archers. First pic shows how it looked when first brought to them. Others show the shotty repair they did. Would have given them a 0 out of 5 if I could.

I told 2 different people twice what was already done. They call back the next day with "it needs a camshaft position sensor" and it's going to be just under $600 before tax and they can have it done for me tomorrow. I said, again, it's got a brand new Camshaft Position Sensor. 1- this tells me that the have no idea what's going on. 2- they were willing to overcharge me $600 on a misdiagnosis. 3- they didn't open the hood (since I have the new CPS labeled) 4- there no communication there. Even though I told the mechanic that worked on it that it's got this new part in it, I told the counter guy who wrote up the ticket the same thing and I told the person that set up the appointment over the phone that it's been replace as I know the code it's going to show and that would likely be an assumption. Also, I get people have to pay the bills, but retail on a CP Sensor is between $20 and $50 (and they are not paying retail). Installation is one easily accessible plug and a 10mm bolt that is extremely accessible if you just open the hood. We all need to make money. It took me 11 minutes to replace it as a novice $580 is steep for 10 a minute job (likely much less time for them) And the fact that not only would I be $600 in, this would NOT fix the issue. I said, ok, timing belt it is since again, it's got a new CO Sensor in it. I said thanks but I'm going to hold off I'll pick up the car. I get there. It turns out they left the keys on the hood for 2 days and had some difficulty finding them. So after they found them they have the nerve to give me a quote on a timing belt and a bill for $140. How are these people still in business? I feel sad for all the people that think this shop is honest and knowledgeable and the $140 I spent. Counter guys rebuttal was "I'm just the messenger". It's a shame that I have to give these opportunistic crooks even one star.
