After sales experience was less than helpful, first person I spoke with hung up! Very much avoiding explanations, aka spin technique.

Thankfully, I found the exact one she wanted here. I called ahead, and George was incredibly helpful from the start. He even held the keys and sent me a photo to confirm the car was actually on the lot before we made the two-hour drive, which I really appreciated. We arrived with only about an hour and a half before closing, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. George was friendly, professional, and easy to work with the whole time. I honestly didn't expect to be a Kia fan, but this experience completely changed that. We love the vehicle we chose, and if we're ever in the market again, we would absolutely come back. Big shoutout to George for making it such a positive experience.

I finally got thru to service via the Sales dept and spoke with some woman who was clueless. I explained the issue with our vehicle about one month ago and she made an appt. That appt is now next week and NOW they tell me that my vehicle might be there for a few days to resolve the problem and take care of 8 open recall items. Then they also tell me that they can't promise a courtesy car for that time period. Now they informed me that there will be a $185 "diagnostic fee" even thouigh I already had this issue diagnosed earlier by a certified independent mechanic and was told it should be covered under the KIA powertrain warranty. All this in mind, I cancelled my appt and will simply trade my vehicle soon for a different brand entirely. Kia spends millions of dollars in ads to acquire new customers but will lose a loyal customer over a couple of hundred dollars. Bad business model all around KIA!!!

Note: 4/5 stars: I'm back! Went here on Monday JUly 27th 2026 with my parents to finally pick up…read morethe car from the body shop! First off, kudos to Tabitha, who kept in touch with my dad and provided updates as far as when the car was ready or if it needed anything. Although on that day earlier my dad called her in the morning saying that we will pick up the car at 2PM that day. We got there and bob greeted us and called her- and she said she didn't recieve the call. Okay. (4 stars for this). Anyways, must have waited maybe 15 minutes or so for her to come and get the car- which was about ready and waiting on a test drive I believe. Anyways, so we waited, and then followed her out to the car. Also upon meeting her, Tabatha was very pleasant. The body shop did beautiful body work, and it looks like new! Loved the results, and the pretty quick turnaround, and the follow ups! Paid a deductible since it went through my insurance. Did use a credit card and they have no credit card fees! Hope I don't ever need auto work again, but if i do, i know who to call! Highly Recommend!

Luckily, I hadn't needed any repairs, or I would have had them done there as well. When I moved to Myrtle Beach last year, I planned on building a similar relationship with Hadwin White. I had my first maintenance done in November and was pleased. When my starter died, I arranged to have it towed to Hadwin White for repairs. I called to make sure I could pick up a loaner before I jumped in the tow truck to ride to Conway from Myrtle Beach. I spoke with Christine and Alison and neither one could promise me one of the two loaner cars they had on the lot at 3:00 in the afternoon. I was told I needed to have it evaluated before they could give me a loaner car and could not provide a car even though I had a dead starter and a 4:00 pm appointment for the next day. As the tow truck was pulling my car away, Alison called back and said I could have a loaner car if I agreed to a $155 diagnostic. At that point, I'd already made arrangements to have it towed to an independent garage. I'd paid a premium in the past to work with the service department at a dealership because they provided a premium service at a premium price. Hadwin White put an end to that.

I purchased a brand new 2024 Honda Civic hatchback from this location and have had a couple issues…read morewith it since purchase. The first issue was a water leak when it rained. I took it there several times before they were able to discover the issue. The service representative I dealt with was Justin Brown. He absolutely agreed with me that there was a leak and was as determined as I was to find the issue and get it fixed. Turns out it was an issue that all Honda Civic hatchbacks had and Honda came out with a resolution. I had my car back for regular service and did not deal with Justin but another representative and the experience was not the same. I was sorely disappointed and called to speak with the Service Manager about my disappointing experience. The manager said that in the future I could deal directly with Justin Brown. Recently I had an issue with my air conditioning system not blowing really cold air. I called and spoke with Justin about the issue. He arranged an appointment for me to come in when it was convenient for me. Justin had the system checked and it was determined that the ac compressor was the issue. It was a $3,000.00 repair and it was no longer under warranty. Justin told me he would contact Honda about it and see if they would be willing to cover the cost, due to the car being a 2024 model and only having 49k on it. He said "I would expect it to last longer than that." The next day Justin contacted me and said Honda would cover all but $100.00 of the cost. He stated that if they didn't charge me anything, they couldn't give me a warranty. I was pleased with the outcome and Justin's experience and understanding in dealing with this situation. A $100.00 to me for a 3k repair was as though I was paying a deductible on an insurance policy. I also received a 4 year / 48k mile warranty on the new compressor. Unfortunately Justin is only one person and he cannot be everyone's Service Representative, but consider yourself lucky if you do get him as yours. Justin is by far the best employee I have ever dealt with in any department of any car dealership. East Coast Honda is blessed to have him.

They really try to add things to repair even when the recent report from them shows there is nothing wrong. When I confront them on this, there is conveniently no real way to figure out which report is correct. At this point, so many issues it seems intentional and I think the BBB needs to look into this dealership. I am selling my car soon and will be going back to Toyota. Also, go online to see potential deals because they will never show you or be aware of them. Tried to charge me 90+$ for an oil change and I said no there is an afternoon special where it's cheaper.

I called a week later and they said that the part was back ordered and I would probably be in the following Monday or Tuesday called again a week later was told the same thing. so for three weeks, we went roundabout, this whole thing waiting for the part to come in. I finally called and got upset with them and the gentleman that we spoke with said he would have it sent from another dealership and our part would be there on Tuesday. A gentleman name James called us on Tuesday and said our key was in, in a voicemail and that we had to call and schedule an appointment to get it programmed to our truck. So our appointment was set up for that Friday (September 4th) my husband showed up at the appointment to have the key fob programmed and was told that the key was given to somebody else. When I called and spoke with James, he said the part had set on his desk and nobody had showed up to get it(even though we were told by him we had to make an appointment) so he gave it to one of their whole sellers because they needed it. Even though we have waited a month and paid for the part it was given to somebody else. I called and asked to speak with the general manager was sent to a voicemail that was full left my name and phone number to have a call back from the general manager and we still have yet to receive a call. We have bought multiple cars from your dealership and I am appalled at the service that we have received. My question is, is this how you treat everybody? We have referred friends and family to you guys because we assumed it was always going to be amazing service. But that ends. They told my husband that they were going to get a key fob from another dealership on Friday and bring him back in the afternoon to have it done. When I called to get a status, I was told that the dealership didn't have one and that they were hoping that one would arrive on their parts truck on Friday and they would give us a call. Received a call back from James who apologized and said that the part "should be in on Tuesday" I have heard this for a month that it should be on on Tuesday so we will see. I asked why would they call and say our parts paid for pay was there and give it away? He said I hoped one would come in. why didn't that wholesaler have to wait? Instead they were given a purchased item (theft in my eyes) 10/10 Will not recommend the dealership ever again. If I could give a zero star that is what they would get!!
