This is a horrible location, they have very bad customer service, the people working at the location do not know what they are doing. i got a battery at the location and i went back because their was an issues with the battery and i was told they where not meant to put the battery in my car in the first place. I went back a couple of days later to get an equipment and i asked if i can return the equipment if it does not work and i was told yes. when i took the equipment back since it did not work i was told i could not return it. I purchased some items recently. At the checkout there was an issue with their computer. The transaction went through on my bank, said approved on CC terminal but no transaction record in their computer. The store manager, who lacks any kind of management or customer service skills, would not let me leave the store with the purchased items or provide any kind of promise of a refund. I called corporate, who told me I'd be looped in on an email with the general manager and district manager. I'm still waiting for the email a day later. The GM called me back, (after another call to corporate) to get more info, and said I would receive a call back that day. I had to call corporate again to find out what's going on. It took a call to the regional VP and a week to have funds credited back to my account. I was told a gift card would come to me for the inconvenience I suspect I'll never see it. read more

DON'T COME HERE!!! If you value your money and good customer service don't come here please. I spend over $250 on a quote "new" power steering pump and the manger refused to let me return it and get my money back. Let me tell you that it hadn't even been a week when I got it and quote from my mechanic, "the part was manufactured defectively and will not work". A worker at the store even acknowledged that the part was defective but the manger went ahead and proceeded to act unprofessional and not allow me to get a refund. This is my first yelp review - I ordered a battery online and picked it. The guy was so funny in the minute I was there, it made my day!

Bought a pair of windshield wipers and had them installed here about a month ago. Unfortunately, the rubber came apart from the arm recently and was floppy so I brought it back. Came in Sunday morning before Memorial Day and there was a young guy of Latin descent (possibly late 20's early 30's) and an Older African American gentleman in the store at the time. They were both attentive and made sure my wiper arm was replaced in the name of good service. I told them I'd be giving them a stellar review. read more

The customer service at this location is so terrible that even the support staff at 877-ADVANCE were getting frustrated with this location. I dealt with Stefani who claimed she was a manager there but she was far from helpful. I placed an order online for pick up at this location and after 2 hours and multiple trips to this location Stefani was unable and unwilling to help. If you need to place an order for pick up I recommend using the Advance Auto off Fort Meade rd. read more

Today, I went into this store located in Laurel, Md to purchase a $200. battery. The clerk named Denver waited on me. Once I was ready to complete the purchase he demanded that I purchase a packet of terminal cleaner and insisted that it was required before I could purchase and get the free battery install. I was surprised since this was not disclosed on the company's website. When I refused, he told me he I would not be able to purchase the battery at their store. I declined and left. I truly believe that I was discriminated against because I was a woman of color. Denver who was also a person of color was attempting to force a purchase on me because he thought he could get away with mistreating me and that I would not complain. After I left, I called several other Advanced Auto Parts stores in the area and none had heard of such a thing. I decided to go to the Jessup location. Not only did I receive better treatment but the clerk Russell without my asking put a similar terminal cleaner on my car terminals free of charge. I would never recommend this store location in Laurel Shopping Center. They have discriminatory and deceptive practices toward their customers. SHAME ON YOU...EMPLOYEE DENVER! read more
