I don't normally write reviews but when you are given misinformation that could be hazardous, by the General Manager no less, I feel compelled. I recently purchased a new 12 volt battery for my Rav4 Hybrid Limited. The hybrid is different than a gasoline only car - the battery installs back by the spare tire inside the passenger cabin. These AGM batteries have a vent hose to "safely release potentially dangerous gases, like hydrogen, produced during charging or over charging, preventing pressure buildup and potential explosions or fires ..". The general manager insisted the venting hose was to allow air into the battery to cool it and recommended I just drive the car with the hose disconnected. The reason this entire conversation took place was there are two different size batteries for my 2017 Rav4 Hybrid Limited - depending on whether the car has a premium audio system (Premium JBL Audio). The one they sold me is the incorrect battery and the venting hose connection is on the other side of the battery so the car's hose won't reach. I showed him the car specs from when I bought the car and he told me I didn't have the premium audio, too, although it clearly list Premium JBL Audio. Old guy at the front desk was as rude as possible when I walked in. I walked in nobody was in the store and walked up to the register, he told me "I told you I'd be right with you". Then said do you have a question? I told him I needed to get my alternator tested and he responds with "can't do it" I asked why not and he told me he doesn't have anyone that can do it. Turned my son away with an exchange with receipt just because it was purchased at another Advance Auto Parts store. Even though their policy online clearly states that returns/exchanges with receipts can be done at any Advance Auto Parts store. Ended up costing an extra $10 in gas plus an hour of lost time to go to the next closest Advance Auto Parts which still wasn't the store I purchased them from where they were exchanged no problem. read more

Not my favorite place to go for auto parts. Went looking for a few bolts for my truck and the gentleman at the counter could not find it in his computer. so he walked me over to the BOLTS pointed and said I need to do a trial and error,can you bring in your own bolts to match it up? I do not recommend shopping here. I've been here three times and all three times it has been a disaster. Go somewhere else. read more

When you walk in the door the employees leap to attention and ask how they can help you. I've always had good service here. I'm not a heavy-duty auto parts customer, since I don't do my own maintenance, but I do buy things like wiper blades and cleaners. They seem to have a good selection of parts and tools, including some small-engine supplies. On my most recent visit I bought a new battery from Tyrel B.; he gave my car a very thorough checkup of its old battery and the charging system, then sold me the new battery I needed and quickly installed it. read more

Came in looking for oil for my new car: I am a first time car buyer and recently moved out of state. Back home, my family friend changed my oil/added oil for me when needed. I purchased oil for a car I bought 5 days ago, so have not even looked under the hood yet (for any work). I was unsure how to add the oil and when purchased I asked for assistance on how to do so since I live here alone and didn't find it necessary to take it into a shop just to add oil. The man stated they aren't supposed to do that... and that was it. Isn't the end of the world but really could have used the help and I'm unsure why they wouldn't be able to help me/tell me if they can't actually do it themselves.. I know nothing about cars and just figured someone who did would be willing to help me. Oh well! read more

Wonderful service. Every employee is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. I have been in a dozen times and have never had a bad experience. Bought new brakes and calipers last month. One of the calipers had a factory defect and they replaced it without even hesitating. I highly recommend this place! read more
