This location has a premium location and a nice size pump area with a high canopy. This location also has plenty of parking spots for those stopping without getting fuel. Nestled right in the middle of a well lit business district with people everywhere, a customer can feel safe shopping at this location. This particular location was well organized and tidy. From what I know and have experience with my car, most AutoZone parts come with a decent warranty. Some parts have a lifetime guaranty. They are a full-line dealer of John Deere, Bobcat and Kubota. I don't really care about Bobcat or Kubota, since I'm never going to buy any of them, but I do care about my John Deere equipment. They also carry Stihl, Wacker-Neuson, Scag, Landoll and Kuhn. (Besides toys for adults, they have toys for kids, t-shirts, hats, tools and other sundry accessories.) I bought my Deere tractor from an independent dealer about 15 years ago, and he always took care of me. The owner's son has been slowly taking over and the kid screwed me over on a simple repair job. You only get one shot at screwing me, so the next time I needed work done on my tractor, I called Mid-State. The job was done quickly and correctly, and at a fair price, to boot. Mid-States has a reputation for being a little pricey, but so far, I have not experienced that myself. They have already done engine repair for me and quickly repaired my snowblower so I could get out of my driveway last Winter. I dropped my mower deck at the Jackson location last week for a Spring check-over and blade sharpening. (I was trying to avoid the pick-up and delivery charge, which is actually reasonable. I use their pick up service when I need work done on my tractor, since it is far too heavy for my dainty little utility trailer.) By the end of the week, Keri called me to let me know the job was complete. I had told them the trailing edge of the blades was probably sharper than the leading edge and might need to be replaced. Sure enough, one of the blades was bent (I painfully remember the awful noise when it happened) and they replaced all three blades. Per my request, they greased everything, replaced the difficult-to-get-to drive belt and cleaned the underside of the deck. The cost was reasonable and less than I expected. I hope my old dealer enjoyed his surf 'n' turf dinner - several of them - because that is the last cash he'll ever see from me! Mid-State is now my John Deere dealer of record. Check them out - they're in Jackson on Hwy 60 between 45 and 41. They also have locations in Janesville, Salem, Sauk Prairie, Watertown and two locations in Columbus.

Manager Mitch said I need 4 new tires because they are dry rotted. I call BS on that. THEN they stripped another wheel stud (happened last rotation visit too) and said I have to take to another mechanic to fix. THEN, they would not honor the road hazard on that tire for prorate replacement but instead put TWO patches on it. YEAH TWO. Service tech AND counter guy said it was unserviceable but manager was determined to sell me tires. Good enough tire to put two patches on but so dry rotted I need 4? Untrue. Dishonest. I don't feel safe with two patches on a tire I paid for road hazard on. Terrible. STAY AWAY.. I will and I was a long time customer.

The service department is sub-par in my standard. The web link is less than user friendly and difficult to get any message delivered other than "Scheduled Maint". The personal is non responsive and the staff under trained. They don't bill that way but I had my auto returned to me after some tire work missing lug nuts! My advice is find a different dealer if you purchase Ford. I will NEVER do business with the dealership again
