Great store and great staff. Jolene's review has some merit, but Advance just like all parts store is not a shop. Mike D., your review is a bit harsh at 1 star because you caught an employee very busy at the counter. Regardless, exceptional service is important, but I give a 5 star review as someone who used to work at Advance Auto parts in Elko NV and now continues to do business as a customer.
The store is old, but has plenty of room, and the people who work there are real people, but I assure you they care about what they do and will provide you with help but only within what is considered acceptable within company guidelines and rules (lawsuits and rules do exist). Please understand if you have brake problems, they will not be able to remove your tire and inspect them and/or replace your pads for example, but they will provide you good shops in the local area to help you with these things. Parts are of good quality and at a great price compared to the other three stores in town. This store is located in Elko (small town), and sometimes parts do need to be ordered, but usually only takes a day. The rewards loyalty program called Speed Perks is second to none and gives you $5 towards your next purchase (on whatever you want) with every $50 (or less) you spend. So if you are looking for a parts store that is filled with experienced staff who do not act like robots, you will find this place welcoming. read more
