    The regional manager name Edison called me on September 2nd after my last review and complaint. It…read morewas obvious that he followed up due to company protocol and not out of genuine concern for the integrity of Autozone. Upon speaking to him, he seemed to wanted to know what happened with his employe Jay; however, it was obvious that he took a side. He asked me what happened but as I begin to tell him what occurred with Jay, he kept cutting me off and asking me did I provoke Jay. Finally after being cut off several times, I asked him why did he keep asking me that. His rebuttal was that he knew Jay personally and that he was very familiar with him and didn't feel like he would threaten me without being provoked. This made me extremely uncomfortable and made me feel as if I weren't talking to a regional manager. Jay's threats to me were unprovoked and unwarranted. To reiterate briefly , Jay told me that I could have a problem if I wanted one and that he was ignorant. When responded by saying that I didn't involve myself in ignorant fueds, he said he didn't care and I can still have a problem. Let me also remind you that Jay proclaimed to be a manager of the Autozone. As a manager in one of my past position, absolutely nothing can make me threaten a customer or be unprofessional. There were times that I had bad days and still came to work and maintained professionalism and upheld the integrity of my company. So I ask, What kind of problem was an Autozone manager going to give me? I was absolutely petrified. Now my question to the regional manager is was this personal or business. Why did you call and accuse me of provoking Jay? Also, although you may know him personally what does that have to do with how responds to customers in your absence. Are you insinuating that Jay threatens customers provoked? Either way this would be totally unacceptable and unprofessional! I didn't provoke him and he still threatened me. What could warrant this behavior? Why is the regional manager making excuses for an employee threatening a customer? Lastly, I did ask the regional manager some of these questions and he evaded them; however, he did have me go back to the store where I was threatened to process my full return for my battery. I did make him aware that I was frightened that Jay may be there and he assured me that he wouldn't be. I still was frightened that he may inform Jay that I was coming to the store being that he had a close personal relationship with him. I don't take chances on anyone following through on a direct threat. I receive my refund; however, I'm insulted, intimidated and shocked by the correspondence I received from the regional manager. I definitely need to speak to someone higher up to discuss my experience.

    advanceautoparts.com is a fraudulent company. Placed an online order for pick up at the…read morePhillipsburg NJ location on Rt. 22 on 9/9/25. Simple order for 2 stabilizer links. Kept getting an error message stating my card did not process. Resubmitted multiple times and it still stated the order was not processed for some unknown reason. Immediately check my debit cards as was charged 4 times for the 1 order. No email confirmation...nothing. Went into the store and they had no record of any orders. The General Manager Brian contacted customer service and they had no records of any orders placed. Showed my phone to the Brian listing all the charges with my banks. I was extremely upset that I was charged 4 times and also never got the parts I needed. Brian handled the situation pretty good except for making ridiculous excuses about technology hiccups and what not. It's not a technology issue, rather it's an www.advanceautoparts.com issue. Their IT department, probably in India, are worthless. Haven't bought any parts from advance in quite a while as their prices are way higher than online. Advance charges a premium for everything they sell. Unbelievably marked up, like $100 for a chinese brake rotor that you can find on www.rockauto.com for $20. Ridiculous. After this fiasco I will never purchase anything from advance ever again. How to end a company, written by the CEO Shane O'Kelly.

    Two days in a row, my car needed a jump start so off to auto zone I went. My boyfriend and I got…read morethere, were greeted promptly by a friendly sales associate who not only tested my battery and determined it was bad, but also replaced it for me on the spot. I was grateful for the service this location provided as the sales associate also took the time to explain the differences in batteries and prices when selecting a battery to purchase. (I always appreciate this as it allows the consumer to make their own conclusions and selections!) We were in and out of this auto zone within ~25 minutes..that's including the installation of the battery while outside in the cold. My only comment would be is that they could do a better job getting their parking lot plowed after a snow storm.

I had a previous encounter with an employee who threatened me unprovoked and unwarranted. I don't recommend at all. A regional manager (Edison) followed up with me and stated to have a personal relationship with the employee (Jay) who threatened me and maintained an accusatory tone and directly insinuated that his employees behavior was an act out of being provoked. He didn't maintain the integrity of the company by not holding his employee accountable. After another review a different regional manager (Francis) called me and apologized but didn't follow up with his promised incentives and accommodations for my experience. I will never go back to this store location or perhaps another autozone due to the lack of professionalism and my fear of that employee following up on his threats toward me.
