One of the staff looked up the part, and I was shocked at how expensive it was. The other staff looked up a different part number and said use THAT one because it was one fifth the cost. Still would have been cheaper to order online, but I want to support my local shop so they stay in business. I came back in to pick up the parts, and there they were. O'REILLY AUTO PARTS RULES!…read more WHILE POWER GMC TRIED TO RIPP ME OFF! OK, rewinding 1 year ago...I was having an issue with my Silverado Pickup, where the engine light came on, and said "Service Select Track" and the car was running rough. Power GMC charged me $1300 to diagnose and repair the problem (Spark plugs, wires, etc.). Then shortly after my fuel pump started acting up, and the same obligatory $1300 was quoted again. I see a pattern with their pricing, and asked why so much? They told me the fuel pump was $600 from O'reilly Auto Parts. I went to the parts store and bought the same pump for $300, and was told that they wouldn't warranty the installation unless I accepted the extra $300 shelf markup. I said I don't care just install it. Back to current times - The car was running rough last week, and I went back to Power and said, "Hey I just had this fixed and it is giving me the same issues". He gave me the exact speech about: diagnosis $180; Spark plugs, etc. $1300. So I went back to O'reilly to price out the parts, and the Lady there was a beam of light from heaven! She was so knowledgeable about car issues that she talked me into fixing it myself. So I went to Amazon and ordered a diagnostic code reader $38, and got the code from the reader "P0301" - Misfire on Piston 1. Went back to O'reilly and bought a spark plug for $1.90. It took 10 minutes to replace the spark plug in their parking lot, and guess what? The engine codes reset after driving, and the car runs great! I did the same repair job that power did for $1300, and for a total cost of (Drumroll Please)... $39.90. And it only took me 10 minutes! I was livid! They held my car for over a week to make me believe that they were doing a lot of work. When the reality set in, I was very sure that those people are the most dishonest people on the planet. Mechanics in general prey upon unsuspecting customers who are not mechanically inclined. They markup their parts almost double, and lie to your face about small repairs that they know would be easy to fix yourself. Don't believe them!!! And, do not accept their obligatory $1300 service fees. Question them, and ask for a breakout pricing list of any work they quote you on. Do not believe anything they say. They lie, they lie, they lie... BUT O'REILLY AUTO PARTS WILL HELP YOU GET AWAY FROM THEM! FIX YOUR OWN CAR WITH O'REILLY AUTO PARTS!

I went to power Chevrolet in Corvallis to buy a used 2021 f150. It was a nice truck for a decent…read moredeal but I spotted an oil leak. I went inside and asked for the inspection notes. They gave me a version of them but it said there were no leaks and everything looked perfect. I let them know that the truck had a leak and if they were to fix the leak I would be interested in purchasing. Sales manager said the truck would be in the shop on the lift first thing Monday(this was Saturday). The truck was diagnosed Tuesday, one day late no big deal. They reached out to me Thursday and said they have decided they will fix it(I didn't know that was in question). They also were going to jack the price up. I said I would no longer be interested at the new price so they reverted back to the original price. Friday they said they sent it to ford and ford would be working on it that day or the following Monday. Tuesday they said it was fixed and was headed back to their lot. At this point the salesman ran my credit and I was approved for the loan. This is when he told me the truck is now on hold for me since the already put an inquiry on my credit. Right before I'm about to head to the dealership to get the truck they contact me and say the truck isn't actually done yet but I will be by Friday. Turns out the truck was done Thursday. I could not make it up there Thursday but I said I would try for Friday. Salesman is texting and calling me all day Friday while I'm at work(not typically on my phone) needing to know what time I will be there. At 2:30pm I tell him 4:45 or 5 as I get off at 3:30. An hour later the salesman says my colleague is selling it right now. After they already put a hard inquiry on my credit and told me it was on hold for me. They drug out the process for 2 weeks then sold it out from under me in 24 hours. Then they said "I can see if I can find another truck for you!" So I didn't get a truck and I will never attempt to buy from power Chevrolet Corvallis again.

B&R had a very organized lot, kind and helpful staff, and van driving around the lot with tools. The Man at the register was open to negotiating prices, an employee out in the lot offered me a dolly to move the seats and he even power washed the gunk off for me, and another employee removed a stripped bolt for me. All super cool dudes! Only took about an hour and a half or so to get exactly what I needed in good condition and it only cost me $120! Thanks yall!
