So, I'm not mechanically inclined whatsoever. Went in to Autozone to buy a replacement headlight bulb and I went about attempting to install it in the parking lot. After 30 minutes of struggling in the hot sun, I swallowed my pride and asked if someone from the store could lend me a hand. Celduin came immediately and identified the reason the lightbulb wasn't plugging in is because I was trying to plug a low beam bulb into the high beam outlet. Like I said, not mechanically inclined at all. Within 2 minutes, Celduin had it all plugged in and ready to go. He also gave me some tips for extending the life of my battery. Super great dude. I purchased some replacement headlight bulbs from this store last week and was having trouble installing them in my vehicle. I returned to the store the next day to see if maybe I had purchased the wrong type (even though I've bought and installed these exact bulbs on my own before). It seemed that I had the right ones, so just for reassurance, since the associate at the front of the store wasn't busy, I asked him if he could double check with me. All I wanted was a little assistance with making sure I wasn't overlooking something, and to my disappointment the associate proceeded to make me feel like an idiot. He implied that I didn't know what I was doing, that I had probably tried replacing the wrong bulb, and that he had no interest in helping me. As a woman, I'm used to men treating me that I don't know what I'm doing with car repairs, but this was beyond insulting. I told the man fine, thanks for nothing, and stormed out of there. Thanks to the kind people at Napa down the street for helping me instead. They will get my patronage from now on. read more

I won't be going back to AutoZone. I've been a customer before, and I do recall being disappointed. Nonetheless, I went in because I was looking for a part I couldn't find at another nearby auto parts store. There was a long line at the check-out. I thought maybe I could find what I needed on my own. I found an array of parts that might have worked, but I wasn't sure which one would fit. The sign said to ask a staff member, so I went and waited in line. There were three things that happened over the next ten minutes or so that will keep me from going back. 1. There was a man who waited in line and got up to the front. I normally wouldn't mention it because I don't think it should matter, but it was a Black man. He had a part in his hand, and I'm not sure if he needed to exchange it or just needed some help. The cashier said he'd have to wait because, "There's all these customers in line, and we need to help them." Uh.... I thought he was a customer. I thought he waited in line already. Maybe I missed something. 2. There was a woman in line who got up to the front. I normally wouldn't mention it because I don't think it should matter, but it was a person with a middle-eastern accent. They wanted to replace a battery in their key fob. A cashier was trying to help, but told the customer she would have to go to Toyota because she couldn't get the fob open. There was another man in line behind her, and before she left, he told her to wait until he was done because he was a locksmith and would help her. I have a Toyota fob, and I could have helped her too. I should have also told her that the local Toyota dealer would change the battery for no charge. Anyway, I think the other customer helped her; staff did not. 3. A third staff member came back inside from helping another customer install something. He called me up to his register. I told him I needed a part for the canopy on my pickup. He asked what kind of truck, and I told him it didn't matter. He gave me a rude look. I told him again it was for a canopy, and he said they only had the parts for actual cars. He suggested I go to a place that sold canopies. He told me not to tell him that it didn't matter what kind of truck it is. Well, it didn't matter - the part was for the canopy which has nothing to do with the vehicle it's installed on. I had good experiences at two other auto parts stores looking for the part. One didn't have one in stock and was looking for the right part for me. The other had a part that fit and works just fine. Both of the other shops had pleasant, friendly, helpful staff. Nope. I'm done with AutoZone once and for all this time. I don't even remember what I was looking for last time I was in there - it's been a couple years. They couldn't help me then either. Poor excuse for an auto parts store. I had grandparents that ran an auto parts store long ago, and they would never treat a customer the way staff at AutoZone treated me. Terrible. One star is the lowest rating I can give, and AutoZone didn't quite even earn that one star. Yuck. read more

just walked in -3 employees and me. Not one person greeted me or asked if I needed any assistance. I wandered around and was going to just leave, (instead of asking for help I was actually testing them to see if they would offer), when I found what I came in for -windshield washer fluid. So I took two bottles, found the self-checkout, which was out of receipt paper, checked out and left with no receipt. I got the feeling that I could have just walked out without even paying. I came here to purchase a couple things and noticed I was charged 3 separate times. I have push notifications set up with my banking app, and showed the manager that I was charged 3 separate times for $35, when I should have been charged once. He told me it happens sometimes and that it'll likely just be a pending charge for a couple of days but won't process. Two days later, I noticed it was indeed posted to my account and withdrawn. I've called corporate and visited the store 3 times now since to try and get this resolved. Now I have to wait for the banking department to get back to me. As a one of the leading auto parts stores in the nation, you should be better than this. And if such an issue does happen, you should not take a week or two (and multiple trips/calls) to resolve it. Just go to NAPA, they have better prices, nicer employees and I've never run into any issues with them. read more

Went in and Luka helped me, gave me the wrong part. When I came to return it he was sassy and rude. Didn't listen to the specific requirements of my vehicle. Refused to give me a refund. Took me repeating my ​self 6 times and 15 minutes for him to listen to me and look up the item number of the old part in o​rder to get the correct one. Wow! I'm super impressed! Their customer service is fantastic. We're on a road trip and our car's check engine light came on. Things were looking grim. There was no way we would be able to find a mechanic open on Easter. They ran a free diagnostic and Erika B. suggested watching a YouTube video to see if we were able the change the part ourselves. I needed a new radiator cap and they asked me a bunch of questions about my car that I didn't know but they let me run out to my car and look at the manual. I wasn't sure on one thing still so they told me I could buy what I probably needed, test it and take it back if I was wrong. They were initially pretty helpful, but our special order (brake rotors) took an extra three days past what they quoted us. Was it their fault? Fed Ex's fault? Who knows. They were supposed to call when they got in, but never did. We got sick of waiting and called today, and lo and behold they were in. Good selection of level of quality, you can get cheapo parts, mid range parts, or high quality parts, and prices were less than Napa Auto Parts, so I guess they have that going for them. read more

My daughter's car temperature gauge was reading high. I couldn't come help her since I'm 5 1/2 hours away in Washington, so I told her to go to Autozone because that's who I go to in Burlington, Wa and they are always so helpful & knowledgeable. Tracy H. looked at my daughter's car and noticed she had 2 collapsed radiator hoses and figured out it was due to a defective radiator cap. They waited for the car to cool down, filled the radiator wth fluid and put on the new cap. Tracy also recommended that she get her hoses replaced soon. Absolutely terrible service with a group of flunkies on payroll. I went in this location to have my battery tested and was told I needed a new one, so I attempted to buy the battery when the clerk named John (He was a ginger with commercial driver on his name tag) not only told me they had 3 batteries in stock but then proceeded to tell me that the only problem was they weren't on the sales floor and were located in the back room at the bottom of some rack or palette and he was not about to retrieve it and told me if I wanted to get the battery I can go to the Corvallis location and buy it there. Seriously?!?!? I tried to contact the store manager(Eric) about this, unfortunately he was about as helpful as the lazy employee he has working in his store sending paying customers away to another location. I currently live in Albany and will now have to drive to Corvallis just to go to auto zone because the staff is Albany is apparently too lazy to do their jobs. read more
