That went pretty well and they turned out good, but the paint started coming off in a few weeks. I sent him some pics and he said he would fix them. Then I tried to get him to follow through. After setting times to drop them off multiple times and having him cancel, he then told me he had never had a problem like that and wouldn't fix them. What a disappointment James turned out to be. Totally wouldn't stand behind his work. Now I have to find someone else. I should post a zero review, but I can't figure out how to do that. What a waste of time and money. Also note that his shop is way up in the hills out of Gaston, so quite a drive when I first picked them up.

A call to…read morea very nice and apologetic lady at the Hankook Rebate Center informed me that it had not even been processed, but she was doing it right then, and I should expect to see it in another 3-5 weeks. Since I've never in my life received a rebate I've applied for, I'm of the mind that it's standard operating procedure to never send them out unless someone follows up, in much the same way that some insurance companies deny all claims, initially. This is the first one I've ever bothered to run down. I guess we'll see. Stay tuned....

These guys will take care of you right away if they can, but there may be people ahead of you. A couple hour wait for them to fix a flat, for free, seems ok to me. For brakes and other mechanical jobs make an appointment and leave the car pick it up later. My company just got quotes for shocks and struts for van. Les Schwab was the lowest quote! Our van is in their shop right this minute. Prices are up everywhere, Les Schwab prices are very competitive, and service after the sale is second to none. They stand behind their work, and will put it in writing. They are the best!

I called and spoke with Trent about my project to see if he, as the new owner, carried on with BBS refinishing. Trent confirmed that they do, so I set up a time to bring the rims and the car they were going on to him for a consultation/drop-off. Trent was just as nice in person as he was on the phone. He was really interested in the car as much as the rims. See photos. We talked about the process and specifically about the changes I wanted to make. I decided to go with the center color to match the lower body line color. While going through some BBS forum chats, I saw someone had done a similar color but added gold bolts. I called Trent and asked him if I could make the change from chrome to gold. Trent said it was no trouble; just order and send the bolts to the business. Shortly thereafter, I got a call from Trent that the rims were ready to be picked up. I took the car they were going on to pick them up so I could do a quick look to make sure what I had envisioned came through. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. The car draws attention, but most comments are about the rims. I would give Trent, Jim, and the rest of the crew a 6-star review for the skill and art they bring to refinishing. There is no hesitation from me where I will be taking my next set of rims for refinishing.

Jim means well, but I think he gets busy, and can't meet the lead-times he originally states. My daughter wanted the silver OEM wheels on her Chevy Cruze Premier repainted to a gloss black, so we brought them to FWO. The end result is exactly what we wanted, and it was a lot cheaper than trying to find the factory "Redline" wheels. The paint job is high quality, and it looks really nice. The areas for improvement include communication and lead-times. Initially we were given a completion date of 2 business days, and I told them they could take 3 if needed. When I called on the third day, they told me three rims were bent, and they needed to be straightened (for additional cost). I gave the go ahead, but I think they had our wheels confused with another project, because they never added on any other charges. The wheels & car ended up being ready for pick up on the sixth business day. As stated, the paint job is great, but the tires seemed haphazardly filled to random pressure levels, differing by a few PSI from corner to corner (that was an easy fix). They all hold air just fine, though; so no worries there. I would definitely recommend the work that Jim & FWO do, but just allow a little extra time for project completion.

I had a hard to diagnose steering issue with a Ford Fusion, and I wasted a lot of time and money…read moretaking my vehicle to three different shops without the issue being fully resolved. A mechanic friend of mine recommended Hillyer's, It took a few weeks to get in, but they quickly and correctly diagnosed the issue (failing wheel bearing and bent steering knuckle). The knuckle had to be ordered so it did take a few more weeks to get the repair done, but when all was said and done they fixed the issue at a reasonable price, no more sticky steering, vibrating, and clunking. They also subtracted the $75 diagnostic fee from my final bill, which was appreciated. I would definitely recommend Hillyer's, and they will be my go to with any future suspension, alignment, or wheel issues.
