Once they have done a diagnostic check on your vehicle they give you the awareness of the different things that need to be serviced. No, this is not a scare tactic, because you decide to repair the items or not. They will have pictures to show you what the current condition is like my brakes, they were not making any noise, but they were at a critical state that left unrepaired and waited until it was making screeching noise I was in for more expensive repair. I like the fact they give me the option on to fix or wait until I'm ready. There approach is not a hard sell, I like Kat approach to the repairs. One one of my cars, they heard a rattling noise in the heater box area and it turned out where I was living in middle desert in so ca, I had left my car parked in the open for 5 months and a mouse / rat decided to make my heater box it's new home.
