Staff moves at great speed. They are super quick with all the fixes and polite! I have never had such fast service during an oil change

We have used this specific spot when visiting Corvallis for my husband's car and daughters car while she was up there for college (great price for college kids on a budget). This has to be the cleanest, fastest and best customer service experience I've received at a JF-spanning from California to Oregon. My most recent experience with them was a request for maintenance history. I'm dealing with an issue with my extended warranty on my 2021 gmc. I spoke to Shane, general manager, about getting a copy of my last service with them. Shane went out of his way to not only track down the invoice but also sent me a copy of my vehicle's overall maintenance history AND Chevys requirements for oil changes on my vehicle. Something that the dealership was unable to provide. Above and beyond for customer service. Being from California I can sometimes feel like this level of attention is something that has become a lost art. People are more often too busy to help. Not Shane, not his store. Have been here several times for an oil change now and overall have been impressed w/ the service. I like that they are straightforward with how everything looks or what may need to be replaced (if that's the case). Often times I go in and everything looks good to them, and then here at my last visit one of the air filters needing replacing so got that taken care of. I've been to other Jiffy Lube's where it seems every time you go there something else is wrong w/ the car that they recommend fixing or replacing. Also, here recently at the end of the service (which only took about 10 min) I was just about to get into my vehicle when one of them realized they needed to check the rear light (b/c it wasn't working quite right). They apologized for not taking care of that already and said they would go ahead and replace the light for free since they had already checked me out. I was impressed by this b/c that's the same philosophy I have for customer service. You don't make the customer pay for your mistake. If you make a mistake, you make the customer feel so taken care of that they're actually kind of thankful you made the mistake! Reason for 4 instead of 5 stars: Their communication is friendly, helpful and most of them comes across as genuinely caring people. But when I ask for a more detailed explanation of something (like why i might need a service, potential problems of waiting on getting additional work done, etc.) it feels like they don't really know themselves. So I feel stuck not having enough information to make an informed decision. Yet from a convenience stand point, if something TRULY needs to be done now, then i'm all for doing it. And part of that may be that they are so fast sometimes in the communication. It does feel like they are more concerned with being fast/quick then making sure you are satisfied with fully understanding why you may need a service done. And again, my impression is that they don't necessarily know themselves, but are just going off what their computer is telling them to say. PRO TIP: I've asked them when the best time/days to show up are when they're not as busy. They said while they used to be able to predict that, it doesn't seem to be the case anymore. They said the best bet is when you're driving by, and you see they aren't busy, go ahead and swing on in. And it's true, if they're not busy, they'll get you taken care of super fast! Like 10min. I barely had time to make a phone call before they were ready to get me back on my way. CAR WASH: One thing I like is that they provide a free car wash with purchase of an oil change. But you have 30 days to redeem the car wash. So if you don't have time or want to save it for later, you can swing back and just punch in the code later on. Car wash works nice as well. I was told that I should do an engine flush for $50 dollars because I had gone 1000 miles too many (this was not true, I had only gone 200 miles above, the guy misread my old sticker, but that was a minor mistake). I had never heard of this and my mechanic friend said that changing the oil does a pretty good engine flush itself, so I decided not to do the flush. Afterwards I did some research on engine flushes, and found that they are controversial, and doing it depends on the age of the car, and how harsh of a driver you are (do your research). Then I bought the premium oil for 5,000 miles, but the new sticker I was given told me to come back after 3,000 miles. If I had not been paying attention (like most people) I would have been cheated out of 2,000 miles worth. The guy said it was because they put the manufacturer recommendation instead of what the oil is rated for, but that's not a good excuse. I've been going here for about 2 years, and every other time I've been here I feel like I've had good service, but I noticed all the employees are new, which made me think management might have changed as well. Please do your research when they offer you a special service, and make sure to double check their calculations. Otherwise, everyone was very nice and friendly. Ripoff. 90 bucks for an oil change in 10 minutes, when the oil costs about a third of that at Costco. So $60 for "labor." 2 or 3 things the invoice said were "checked and filled" were not. Look elsewhere for your oil change. read more

Honesty is hard to find at any business these guys use it with their customers. I've been using Jiffy since I got my Vehicle. My dash in it was giving me an oil change warning the last couple days. I pulled in and they ran my records and did a physical check on all my fluids. I just changed it before driving up to move here from SoCal and work in Albany since Jan so I've put some miles on the Van and thought for sure I'd need a change. Nope, I've put less than I thought on it since last oil change as they had my previous mileage in the system and they gave me a correct mileage sticker for when it's needed. No charge and no pressure or sales pitch for other deals going on. Good crew here, will definitely be going back when I actually need my oil changed. read more

1 star review and here is why: Never run to the problem with this shop before until last oil change. Asked to fill up the air tires. Found later that one stem cap is missing and called them to find it. The guy who answered the call rejected to find my stem cap (special one) but would replace with regular one that they have. I do understand it. However, my stem cap is a special one and high cost. I wasn't asking to buy me a new one, BUT ASKEED TO SEARCH FOR IT! Just in case if they forgot to put it on after filled the air. The guy who answered the phone rejected to find it. What kind of business is this!? Man, I just asked to find it if it is not there is totally fine but JUST SHOW that you CARE for the customers. THIS IS HOW you find out how the business is when you run into problem. Employees there are nice and friendly but not the guy who picked up the phone and pushed the responsibility away. AGAIN, at any cost, will NEVER take my car back and of course good luck with how you handle business. read more

Many of the reviews stated they were honest and didn't pressure...that's very important to me. I'm happy to report that this was also the experience I had. The gentleman took the time to not simply "tell" but explain. He showed me a couple of filters and recommended I have them changed, but explained why. He also showed me the different maintenance messages that come up, but explained none of them were needed at this time. UPDATE: More than a year after this original posting and the 5-star rating is as applicable today as before. I've now come in several times and have never felt uncomfortable or pressured. When things need to be changed, they speak up, and when they don't they are the first to say. read more

My elderly dad gave us his van and we took it to this shop on his recommendation before driving it to California. We asked for an oil change. They pressured us into changing the transmission fluid and the differential fluid, saying how bad the fluids looked. We trusted them and went ahead with the service. Later we saw my dad's records and found out that the transmission fluid had been changed just 2,000 miles earlier at the same place. No way did it need changing! They lied and took advantage of us because we weren't familiar with the vehicle and they knew that. So, beware! read more

I was told there were coupons online when I arrived. I went online and got 2 coupons. At the end when it was time to pay I showed Jose my coupon he said that's not the right one but I will apply it. Not knowing the other coupon was for an extra $5 off I thought he would use the more expensive coupon and he was going to honor it. Gave him my card. Then I continued looking at the coupon. He came back and I noticed he hadn't taken the higher coupon off of the service which I received, the service at the higher charged rate. I pointed that out and he said there was nothing he could do about it! They did not check any of the lights, they didn't ask me to rev the engine only to turn it on. poor customer service and why is a oil change $75+ for a medium grade oil? To top off the radiator was an additional $4 if needed...which I did not. The car has 101,057 miles it's not a clunker. Came here after I tried to do do an oil change but couldn't get my oil cap off since it was sinched on too tight to take off. Ended up finding out the old Houseing was damaged, they found a new metal one down the road, replaced it, topped off my oil and used the oil filter I brought in with new o rings. Didn't charge me but half of the price for the new filter Houseing, $12. Perfect service. The manager Shane did great business with me from the start. Connor the runner had great people skills, was always moving, came out to my car and asked me if I needed assistance while I was still in my car parked in the parking lot and treated me with respect. Couldn't ask for better service. The little lady that was checking my oil was quick and proficient, thumbs up. As I was leaving Shane (the manager) was complimenting and talking with Connor lifting him up, coaching and telling him he's doing a great job. Give these 3 a raise! 5 out of 5, wish I could give 6! Upon arrival, the man who helped me was very nice. However, I was caught off guard after being told to get out of my car, as I have never had to in past experiences at Jiffy Lube. Another thing that unimpressed me was that I was not told the price of my oil change until it was too late. Had I known the price beforehand, I would have gone elsewhere. If you ask me, $100 is an absolutely outrageous price to charge for an oil change. One of the employees pulled me into the garage while working on my car, and explained to me that my car ate oil. However, I am certain it does not. My oil was not full; that does not mean it eats oil. I have never had issues in the past and have never found oil on the ground in parking lots. He suggested I pay for an engine flush, which would be an extra $70. I told him no, that my dad was a mechanic and that he would figure it out (true). My car is fairly new and well maintained; I do not need an engine flush. When I left the building, I was already pretty frustrated. However, I became very upset when I got back into my car. My passenger seat was folded all the way down, covered in greasy handprints, and my steering wheel was oily and covered in fingerprints. I am extremely unimpressed with the entire experience. I would give this place zero out of five stars, and I would never recommend. read more

I was recently in this Jiffy Lube to get a oil change. I was in Corvallis because I had brought an animal to OSU large animal hospital for a scan and found out my animal needed surgery. When I stopped in this establishment they gave me a discount even though I had no coupon. Then, I was sitting in the waiting room and a man came through the door and asked me if my truck had been running rough. I told him yes it sure had! He said let me show you something, and he walked me to my truck and showed me a connector hose that had cracked and was leaking air badly. He told me how a engine needed vacuum to run properly and wondered if I would want them to get the part at autozone and replace it for me. I was surprised he would even ask this! I said, sure but how much will that cost me? He stated, We take care of our customers, it won't cost you a thing! I was so shocked.....what business cares about the customer anymore? Nobody does! I couldn't believe it! So they replaced that part and gave me a oil change, vacuumed my truck inside, etc. And they gave me a coupon for a free car wash next time I was in town. What a amazing business! What amazing caring people! I cannot possibly tell you how this made me feel, with the stress I was under during that time regarding my animal's pending surgery and the expense. I was just amazed! I am so thankful for businesses like this! They are a dying breed! My advice to this business.....DO NOT CHANGE! And another note to this business: always remember you never know what people are going through. You can make a difference in someone's life.....thank you so much for making my day.....making my week.....making my month! I won't soon forget your business! Such poor service. They had stripped my plug and continued to top off and cover the plug with" blue glue" instead of making it known that this would be a problem they continued to sell me an oil change. Until finally the plug gave up. I had taken the car to a real mechanic who documented this. When i went to jiffy lube , Kevin pushed it off saying they could have just retooled a plug. I guess this happens a great deal at their shop. He then patted me like a dog and said sorry we hope we do not lose your business..... well they cost me 300 bucks , treated me like a fool and refused to make good on their damage. I will never be back , never recommend anyone to this shop. Oil can harry it is! Better service and professionalism . They just bought into Great harvest breads too so with this poor service would not recommend that at well. read more

I came in for an oil change today and was very pleased with the friendly customer service and how quick and easy the process was. I had my toddler with me so I was a little anxious about him getting bored/obnoxious and disturbing other customers while we waited in the lobby. The first time I went here the service was friendly and quick, I got my oil change done and was on my way. Not long after on a drive in town my low oil level light came on. I took it immediately in to mechanic and was informed the entire underside of my car was covered in oil. The culprit was the oil filter, which had been installed so loosely my car purged it's oil in no time flat. Usually I'm once bitten twice shy, but I gave them a second chance recently, some years after my initial encounter. Not hours later I noticed my car leaking oil in the driveway. Same issue. We have been going to this Jiffy Lube on Circle in Corvallis for the last 20 years! We have two work cars and two home cars that we had maintained at this location! We pulled in today and it was warm out with two special needs individuals in the back seat! I was asked to turn my vehicle off while waiting in line in the sun! We were then talked to by an attendant in a rude fashion and treated badly by management so we will be taking our hard earned money and loyalty and going somewhere where we will be treated right! I moved to the area recently and was looking for a place to get my oil changed quickly. My boyfriend told me he had came to this Jiffy Lube before and was pretty quick so I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! They had me pull my car right and and started working right away. All the guys who spoke to me were very nice and informative but did not make me feel pressured to buy any extras all all. I got to jiffy lube all the time and have been happy with every time. However I took my wife's car into this location. The guy told me there was a rear differential fluid leak on the car. As what I always do, I took it somewhere else to get checked out and compare. The jiffy lube employee eally pushed another mechanics card on me but I took it too my own guy against his wishes. The next mechanic informed me there was absolutely no rear differential fluid leak. This has really damaged my trust in jiffy lube read more

Fastest oil change I've ever had! It took less than 10 minutes, and they vacuumed my car. While I was waiting, an elderly man came in, and the employee (owner possibly?) explained that he didn't need an oil change; he said his oil looked great. What company refuses to take your money today? He then invited him back on July 2nd for a FREE oil change for VETS. I was flabbergasted. I've never seen such excellent service in my life. I've been to many Jiffy Lube service stations in the past, but I've never encountered such respectful service in all of my life. I was truly impressed! There's no reason to go anywhere else. Our car broke down while at a wedding in Corvalis over the 4th of July weekend. We limped this hot car around the corner to Jiffy Lube where we met Michael. He went over and above the call of duty getting us back on the road. He made call after call to make it happen and while it wasn't a service that they list he got us back on the road. I felt from the first minute we were safe and going to go home. I can not thank you enough Michael. I never once felt we were being tricked by being women or out of towners.
