I arrived here to get the free inspection and he said sure I will check it for you. The whole time I was talking to him, he never smiled once. I was able to get what I needed but he didn't make me feel like I should spend my money here so I didn't.

He asked me what type of car I have and I told him. Automatically he showed me a high priced one and said this was all they had. I told him that their website directed me to this location because they had the kind that I wanted in stock. He said no again. I showed him the website. Then he tells me his computer shows a note saying to call a specialist before installation so they cant do it and I need to call the dealership. I ask him for proof of that in writing. Nothing. I asked if corporate would know and he says I can call them if I want. I called and they were closed. So I called the dealership to the make of my car, and they said they never heard of that and there is nothing specific with my car that I need a dealership to confirm or advise on a battery change. I called my fiance to meet me and when he showed up, then answers were produced. The battery I wanted is in stock now all of a sudden, but they can install it but because where it sits in the front of my car...they dont wont to mess up anything. First of all, every time I call, nobody answers, they always have to call back. Second of all, none of the locations have a phone number you can call or even visit without a prior appointment by phone, you have to call the main number and be transferred. After ordering the battery on a Sunday, which I was told was in stock, I was told that I would have to wait for the Charlotte location to contact me so I could pick it up, I couldn't just show up and get it. I tried calling them around 10AM Monday morning so I could schedule a time, which is when I found out they had no direct number. After placing several calls back to the main number, I was finally transferred to the shop. The guy I talked to was shady as hell. First he tells me they don't have any batteries in stock for my car. The battery for the Prius/Prius V, 3rd gen, is the same for all the model year cars in that gen. There are more of that Prius on the road than ants in a hill, and he's out of them, contrary to what the sales guy, who supposedly tracks inventory, said. Then he tells me they have to build the battery when they get an order, and he says it normally takes a few days. However, they are going to be in my area tomorrow, and they can build one and drop it off. WTF? You cannot just throw these together, they require cell balancing and testing, and you can't do that in a business day, starting at 10AM, and leaving at 5PM, and then throwing that on a truck for delivery the next day. When I point that out, he starts acting like he doesn't understand what I am talking about and tells me they test them by putting them in the car. WTF?? If that REALLY is what they are doing, you don't want ANYTHING to do with these guys. I'm guessing this guy at the shop just didn't want to deal with a walk up buyer today and they have these batteries ready to go. I never asked for, nor wanted them to deliver anything. Whatever was going on, both their sales people and service people are not what I would want to have to deal with post-sale. I cancelled my order and will spend my $2300 with somebody else. I can buy the factory battery for that price anyway.

Chad was upfront about what needed to be done and called me if anything changed once he got in there. He even had taken a look at my car a few weeks earlier as they were closing shop free of charge.
