Something tells me this could be the most important review I have ever left. If I review food, you know if you should eat the sandwich or not, but it's a freaking sandwich. A sandwich can't save your life. Not that I know of anyway. What if you're in a situation like me, where your right headlight went out? What if someone almost merged into you at night because they didn't see you? What if I didn't swerve and got hit and rammed into a ditch because he was a meth-head with road rage? I could have hit my head and suffered from early onset of dementia and started to often wonder if cavemen and dinosaurs existed at the same time, and if not (a more likely scenario), did cavemen have any clue that dinosaurs ever existed? And maybe I would have thought about who named Barney. And what toilets would look like if people urinated sideways. And on and on... Fortunately, Ken was there to replace my headlight. And he put some mystery substance on it to help--I had no clue what he was talking about but rolled with it for $20 total. I tried to tip him $5 but he said no. I tried a second time and he wouldn't take it. Friendly dude that knows how to change a lightbulb. My point is that Ken saved my life. Therefore, highly recommended! read more

I was nervous going into Autozone solo as a woman and not sure what was wrong with my Prius. I wanted to check the 12 volt battery to start. The gentleman at this Autozone were great. They found the battery, which was under the back seat. Visible corrosion on the battery was seen. They helped identify the right replacement battery and switched it out despite it being hard to reach and access in its unusual location. OBD reader remains free and they'll offer the print out versus just taking a picture of the reader results. Along the main strip with a number of restaurants, stores and you can go. They have the selection you would expect but the times I've been, the service isn't great. The seem to enjoy just clicking away on the PCs and ignoring you. A simple, "We'll be right with you." would do the trick but, nope. I recommend Advanced Auto Parts on Sam Furr Rd, east of the Target. The people at this store don't seem to know the difference between a retailer discount and a manufacturers coupon. All I can say is that if Autozone is running a special deal, on motor oil in my case, they will not accept your manufacturers coupon on top of it. They don't seem to understand that a manufacturers coupon is not related to any discount Autozone has in place. Instead of processing my coupon, they refused it. It was perfectly valid and unexpired. I ended up going to Walmart to get my oil and filter where my coupon was gladly honored. My purchase ended up being less expensive than Autozone's price anyway. I'm currently considering my options for where to shop next for car parts, and there are a number of good online choices - Amazon and Rock Auto for two. read more

Extremely poor customer service. I ordered parts and went to pick them up. They ordered the wrong thing. Mistakes are made. That's ok. Went back to pick up part the next day. After standing around for a while, no one could wait on me. Went back the next day, and they couldn't find it. They didn't remember me ordering it and they couldn't find it. Wow! Really? I came in to replace a burnt headlight bulb. After waiting several minutes I was finally helped and I told the service man the year and make of my vehicle. He got me the bulb I needed and checked me out (all while on the telephone). I came home to replace the bulb and it was clear that it was not the correct one. I had to get back in the car and head back to the store, this time with my dad. We walk in and explain that I received the wrong bulb and want to replace it. The first cashier asked who had helped me before and I got could not remember. He then looked up my vehicle info and saw that we did indeed get the wrong bulb. Then the store manager (who was the person that sold me the wrong bulb to begin with) ACCUSED ME of telling him the wrong info the first time. I told him that I know my car and gave him the same info the first and second time. He then gets snippy and does not offer an apology and then accuses me AGAIN of not knowing my own information. After this, my Dad got heated and the store manager threatened to call the police because he raised his voice. Both the cashiers and the manager were extremely rude and only after we said all we wanted was the correct bulb (and an apology) did we get it. We both will not be back and will take our service elsewhere. read more
