I needed to replace a couple of air filters and a rear brake light on my car, so I looked online so…read morethat I wouldn't experience sticker shock at the store. I found out that I could order the three parts I needed through the NAPA website, pick them up the next day, AND get a 20% discount for ordering at least 3 parts on one order. Great deal! Ordering was easy, although I was confused because I was quoted one price online, then saw slightly higher prices in my notification email after placing my order (due to "estimated" state sales tax), and saw an even higher price (like $20+ mor) ewhen I got a "pending" charge notification from AmEx. Before making phone calls to try to correct these discrepancies, I decided to see how it played out. The next morning, I received an email notification to pick up my parts from NAPA Auto Parts in Sandy Springs. When I went to pick up my order, the helpful woman at the store asked for my photo ID and asked for my order number. She looked in the system for the location, quickly went to get my order and gave it to me, along with the receipt. I looked at the total on the receipt, and it was the correct price that I was expecting. Just to verify, I asked the employee if this was the actual price that I was going to be charged, and she told me yes. Fantastic! In the short 3 minutes that I was physically in the store, the three employees that I saw made sure that the customers in the store were being helped. The store looked very clean and organized. One customer (not me!) who had bought windshield wipers and was struggling to replace them on his car in the parking lot asked one of the employees to help him, and the employee cheerfully went outside to assist. Parking is free and plentiful. Before leaving for home, I opened the boxes just to make sure that they were the parts I needed. Air filter ... check! Cabin air filter ... check! Light bulb ... check! I replaced the old parts with the new parts when I got home, and it didn't take me long at all. What cost me $40 at NAPA would've cost me a little over $112, as quoted from a car repair place that changed my oil earlier during the week. Thank you, NAPA, for having a simple process for ordering parts that I could replace myself. Now, if you can just improve on the varying and confusing pricing of orders, it would be great! In the end, though, I was correctly charged for the parts, and incorrect pending charges were replaced with the right ones.

I can always count on NAPA to have the things I need. Everything from cleaning supplies to tools…read morewith light-bulbs and wiper-blades in-between. The folks behind the counter are always helpful.

Sooooooo I'm appalled by the way this place tried to take advantage of me. I called and asked if…read morethey had a moment to check my breaks and was told by Marcus to come in within the hour and they can have me in and out. I bring my Mercedes in to them because they are an approved repair shop by my warranty. After waiting almost two hours (so much for in & out) they tell me I need new breaks and rotors in the front and Back of my car and quote me $716. For context I just purchased my certified 2018 Mercedes less than 60 days prior and the car only has 34,254 miles on it (34,198 when purchased). I asked for the inspection report so I can see the diameter of my brake pads and see what exactly is the cause of having to have them replaced. I was told it'd be texted to me and it wasn't. I called back and was told they sent it. I informed them the link sent had no attachment and requested an email, Marcus then told me that they can't email it and if I want the report I'd have to bring it in for another inspection. Sir what? After I gave you 2hrs of my life and you have NO REPORT to explain what all you did, no absolutely not. Now I don't trust you because why won't you just send the report, did you even do an inspection? So I wake up the next morning and drive to Mercedes North Atlanta and have them do a full break inspection...you know the kind Pepboys was SUPPOSED to do. They gave me a full write up of my car and my breaks, rotors and pads are completely fine. Almost new, I guess the ceramic pads (the highest quality break pad) squeal a bit when it's cold out. Soooooooo pepboys really tried to get a full $716 break replacement when there was nothing wrong with my car! If I could give zero stars I would because why try to take advantage of people like that. I am an educated woman so you didn't get me but imagine how many hard working people they trick out of money daily. Honestly should be ashamed of yourself SMH.
