The next morning, our car again wouldn't start, and we took it to a more legitimate auto shop nearby. They told us our battery was the issue and replaced it quickly, which actually fixed our problem. TLDR: Brian either inadvertently misled us or intentionally scammed us into buying an alternator ($350) and installation ($250) that we likely didn't need.

Even for someone out of state who probably wont become a customer due to distance. I guess what I'm saying is they made a stranger feel like an important customer, and that is hard to find in todays business world.
