I received a referral to ADS painting from Home Depot. David contacted me and we discussed my job requirements. David said he will come to my house on Saturday at 8:00am. When he did not show up by 8:30, I called David. He told me he will be at my house in 10-15 minutes. Another hour passed and David did not appear. And, according to my security cameras, he never came to my house. Remember that David selected the day and the time for the appointment. In all my years of dealing with Home Depot referral, I have NEVER had a contractor not call to say he is going to be late or not able to make his appointment. David just "BLEW ME OFF" I would give Zero Stars if I could. Do NOT hire ADS for your job. read more

I hired ADS through Home Depot's red beacon service. David came on time and was courteous. After agreeing on a price to paint my kitchen he started the next day. I couldn't believe the job. I don't think he taped any part of the walls as is evident by the messy lines he left. I KNOW he didn't remove any hardware before painting as the wall behind the removable oil catchers were still the old color. I had asked him to patch a wall. There was still a gash left behind. I confronted him with it but he stated he fixed it, and the gash was new. This is an empty rental unit. There was no one else there. ****UPDATE***** 4/1/2014 Dave contacted me several times and offered to repaint the areas in which I was dissatisfied after reading my Yelp review. David and his crew power washed our house and they made sure to get ALL of those pesky spider nests and cobwebs and dust and dirt. The siding looks brand new again. He was here nearly every day at 7:00 a.m. sharp to check in, update me, go over paint colors which brings me to his patience wholly smokes was I rough to handle with my indecisiveness! He was very professional & kind as well as his crew. He went way above in beyond; for one example he even cleaned up my other contractors mess left behind (dry wall mud on my decorative stone work chimney). ADS did an outstanding job for our home: extensive dry rot and wood siding repair as well as all new exterior paint for a 2 story home. We couldn't believe it was only a 2 man job considering how much work had to be done, but David's workers were fantastic. Not only were they incredibly skilled, but they were also efficient, clean, and meticulous in their job. We could tell they have pride in their work and we trusted them and David fully. We also have an older shingle siding that was very difficult to find, but Dave and his team did a phenomenal job finding the exact same siding (which required David to go to 5 different cities to find) and carefully repaired problem spots all around the house. The paint job looks outstanding and I can't emphasize enough how professional, courteous, and detailed oriented the workers were. When the job was done, the house was so clean, it was as if we bought a brand new house. We would definitely go with them for future projects. Never again. Even though our initial interaction with David was very positive; he was responsive, thorough, (and tried to upsell me at every juncture)- the paint job was absolutely not worth what we paid- $1200 for two doors, a bathroom, and a kitchen ceiling. Wow. I'm STILL cleaning up drips, spills, and splatters a month later! I keep finding them! Our painter was Gonzalo - he clearly didn't lay a drop cloth in the bathroom. There was splatters on literally every faucet and handle. There are still small drops of paint on the floor in the corner, and there are swabs of paint on the fixtures in the bathroom. I need to go through with paint thinner and try to remove them. He was sloppy with painting the doors too- getting paint on the jams, the floor, and the weather stripping. To boot, I am left with literally gallons of paint left over. David purchased the paint for us, and it's clear he overpurchased. Please find another painter for your next job- save yourself the headache. read more

ADS painting did an excellent job on our home in Union City. We needed some repair work done before the painting could begin and their partners worked hard to get it done. Then, when it was time to paint, the crew worked tirelessly to get the job done.
