Friendly team and excellent service. Harriet is fast and my gel nails always look fab and last longer than any others I've had in the past. You also get offered a complimentary glass of bubbles which goes down a tear while getting your nails pampered. Gel nails cost £22 with removal of previous set included. I recently had my gels off which is £5 or free with any service, so I opted for a file and polish which cost £8 and lasted literally 10 days before it started to chip. Amazing! You can book online and I would highly recommend Harriet's service for nails. I can't comment on other beauticians as haven't experienced their services.

Conversation with Harriet is never stilted but not too much; she's normal and friendly and down to earth. She doesn't judge me for my low pain threshold and gets the job done quickly and as pain free as possible. It's excellent value for money and a lovely salon too. I'll give a quick breakdown of my experience and treatment below. Staff - Personally i loved it. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I took note of the clients going in many of which we 15-21 in age. Staff members struck up conversations with most customers. I did tho feel that they were just churning out as many people as they could. Atmosphere - As mentioned clients were loud (appropriate for their ages) Decor was very tired. Far too small to accommodate all the furniture and people on top of all that. some people were even waiting in the doorway. Very dusty and alot of nail dust flying everywhere. Quality - Simply, O.K but nothing to write home about. Thought they were ok but upon further inspection outside in better lighting there was alot of fuzz trapped under the gel polish. You can see the corners of my nails peeking from the edge of my cuticles. So the acrylic wasnt places all over the nail and neither was the polish. Those edges should have been filed back a bit. Pricing - Pricing for Acrylic Gel with Extensions plus a gel polish came to £45 which I should was pretty standard. But the quality fell short. Overall- Not a bad experience but would go again unless there was no where else.

I have being going to The Nail Queen since I realised you could attach fake nails onto your fingers…read moreand make them look pretty. From being a student, I would make my way once a month to nail queen to have my false frenchies put in place. This weekend I came home for a wedding and was in desperate need of my nails doing and off I tottered back to Nail Queen - the place I'd always relied on. The same husband and wife still reside and the same, as with all nail salons, is instantly recognisable. I was seated straight away and hands grabbed forward. From memory, I always preferred the wife to do my nails but this time it was the husband. They're quick and efficient but I always feel that the wife just cares that little bit more. I left, 70% happy. Some of my nails were slightly wonky and the colour of had put on (dark red) had ran onto me fingers but this washed straight off. When and if I'm home again, and in need of my nails doing I will probably always return here. I know the place, it's trustworthy and it's £25 for a good set of gel nails - can't ask for much more really?!

The quality of the services (waxing in particular) is great, from high quality wax to experienced waxing techniques. Time flies as well with interesting conversations and handy tips on dry skin! Elegance is by far the best hairdressers I have ever been to!…read more Always made feel very welcome and never left waiting like in a lot of salons I have been to. The standard of finish is always amazing and I never leave without a smile on my face. I used to hate going to the hairdressers as I never seemed to come out with what I asked for and something always went wrong but not once has this happened here! The prices are not ridiculous as some salons can charge quite an extortionate amount and Emma the stylist is like a magician, she can do pretty much anything imaginable! The salon has a lovely, homely layout and you are always greeted as you walk in the door and offered a tea, coffee or juice which is fab as not all salons do this and I don't think I've ever been able to get juice rather than a brew anywhere! They also have a reward scheme where you collect a stamp each time you have any treatment and once you have filled your card you get money off your next visit! Would definitely recommend and I would never go anywhere else! Get on down there and get yourself pampered!
