When I arrived, it was early but the place was already quite busy but the staff remained calm and friendly. The reception/waiting area was beautifully furbished, clean and well-maintained. While I was waiting, a lady came to water the plants and pluck out dead leaves and a handyman came to fix/clean the air conditioner. The waiting room was infused with some aromatherapy smell and played relaxing "massage/yoga" music. They had professionally printed treatment lists and literature, which gave me confidence that they would be offering a high standard of service. The prices are very reasonable. You could even purchase a £30 for £60 deal on the Yelp App and if you Check-In here, you get 40% off your first treatment! (I will almost definitely be treating myself again after this visit!)

Friendly team and excellent service. Harriet is fast and my gel nails always look fab and last longer than any others I've had in the past. You also get offered a complimentary glass of bubbles which goes down a tear while getting your nails pampered. Gel nails cost £22 with removal of previous set included. I recently had my gels off which is £5 or free with any service, so I opted for a file and polish which cost £8 and lasted literally 10 days before it started to chip. Amazing! You can book online and I would highly recommend Harriet's service for nails. I can't comment on other beauticians as haven't experienced their services.

I was a little early for my 1pm appointment anyway and as she explained the mix up, she stated that a masseuse would be available in 30 minutes, appologised, and said that she'd only charge me for the 30 minute price as appose to the 55 minute price I'd book and was going to receive. Now I mean everyone likes freebies yes but I think this type of customer service, where they admit they were at fault and make amends by doing something to offset them inconveniencing you is lost nowadays and a lot of the time you're made to feel like you're the one at fault. Having worked in the customer service field I get how important it is but also how easy it is to forget about it and think 'why does it matter' well this review proves it does with a 4 star rating! On this visit I had a 55 minutes Deep-Tissue massage due to my increasingly fragile muscles (too much football) and I left feeling great. Deep-Tissue massages can be a little different and less relaxing as they are digging into you a little more but I did feel surprisingly supple afterwards! Normal price for this massage would be £50 and I highly recommend it - just don't book online ;)

For the last birthday, we learnt how to make sushi at Samsi in Spinningfields which was hilarious! My mum had never had a facial either and I didn't know if she'd ever had her nails done, so I booked us in for a mini facial (you pick two areas yourself) and a polish and preen manicure each. Upon arrival, you will smell delightful incense and be seated in very comfy chairs... We had to wait in turn for the facial as we chose the micro dermal diamond facial - there is only one machine for this. Boy was it worth it though! I was even advised upon asking the nail technician that this was the best one to choose. I was nervous at first but the calming music that carries throughout the building and the confident person doing the facial, explaining everything each step of the way, is more than enough to help you relax! He explained that he would be cleansing the skin first, then applied a rough scrub to my face, and notified me he would be turning on the machine and not to be alarmed. ...Machine?! Oh you mean the quiet whirring of the box next to you with the tiny suction wand? Oh it's like it sandblasts my skin? It felt like a tiny little suction tip moving across my T-Zone! Amazing! And if you hadn't had enough of the revelation of your skin feeling like it can actually breath afterwards, wait until he shows you the container of dirt that's been sucked out of your pores! Ewwww!! But so good to see and feel how much clearer your skin is :) I went back through to have my nails done whilst my mum went in - the guy doing the facials was great and gave us all the advice we needed - you can have these facials every 11 days if you're trying to target an area of blackheads - I totally need to do this... The girl doing my nails was lovely, advised me on a colour because I was so indecisive and the bright blue looks lovely on :) If you're in need of a nails scrub up like we were, the preen and polish is definitely for you! Cuticles treated, trimmed if need be, nails polished, filed and lacquers of polish. 3 days later and they still look good :) I will definitely be back for more facials! Called on the day to check the time as the appointment slot on the alert text and that given to me by the receptionist didn't match. I was only then told that the therapist wasn't able to come in that day. They would try to cover my appointment with another doctor. I was really disappointed as the treatments were ahead of a special occasion. They covered the slot but I was told that she was unable to do one of the treatments. As it turns out she was trained to do both but wasn't happy to do thermavein or a second vial of filler as she needed to 'get home'. This was despite the fact I he been in the room less than 25mins of my 90min appointment. There was no compensation and I couldn't be rebooked for almost 2 weeks. Today I was due to go back for my appointment. I have gastroenteritis and, as a medical professional, know that I should stay away from any clinical environment. Despite this and having my treatment cancelled by Skin Viva last time, I have been charged £30. I have now decided to go elsewhere where hopefully the customer service will be much better!
