Cameron and team are our go to electrical group. They have come in and performed mood lighting,…read moreelectrical panel surge protector upgrades, and resolved two lose wire issues. Professional and courteous at all times and trusted. Because our home was a new build, we have a lot of "little" things pop up without a warranty (second owners) Cameron and team always take care of us. They now have a very affordable monthly subscription which I highly recommend. The discount in the first service need has already paid for itself for the year and with more projects planned I am certain it is a value deal. Our lights recently went out on Christmas day and the next day we called, they came, and fixed. They even helped us replace a bulb as they had a taller ladder. It is these little things that they do that set them apart. Clean up and always professional. If you are in their service area, this is the only place to call from my perspective.

I hate to leave a less than positive review as we absolutely feel Alcorn does high quality work for…read morea reasonable price, but in this instance we simply feel ripped off and will likely not make use of their services again We had Alcorn electric out here (as we have several times before) due to no power to a couple of our outlets. As always, they were professional, polite, and able to get us on the schedule quickly. (One of the outlets that was not working is the one that provides electricity to our tankless water heater). We are first time homeowners and admittedly unfamiliar with all things electric (hence the call to an electrician when we could not determine why several outlets were not working). We had tried the breakers but did not know/think to look for a tripped GFI switch. In less than 10 minutes, Alcorn head located the trip to GFI and push the button. We were then sent an invoice for $150.00 To say we were shocked was an understatement we absolutely appreciate that time is money and have no problem paying for peoples time and professional services.... but in this instance to maintain $150 callout fee when the work required was simply to locate and reset a GFI switch left a very bad taste in our mouths. Even a reduced fee would have been more decent in our opinion. As I mentioned, this is not in any way a reflection on the quality of work and professionalism that Alcorn provides. They have done substantial jobs for us in the past and we have been nothing but pleased. Unfortunately this last encounter has left us searching for a new electrician for future jobs. Alcorn appears to have many positive reviews- all deserved. I am certain this won't impact their business, nor should it. We were just caught off guard by the charge and after asking others in the community their opinion- all were in agreement so we opted to share our experience.

I regret calling this company, it ended up costing way more than it should have. Pricing isn't…read morebased on actual work done, but on whatever is quoted over the phone, which they treat as locked in regardless of what's needed. I mentioned I thought 4-5 outlets needed repair, and was quoted $400. When the electrician came, the outlets were functional, my tenant just didn't know they were tied to light switches. He spent 25 minutes on-site and only did light wiring on two outlets, but still charged $350 because "that's what was quoted." No materials used, just labor. He did give a $50 discount, but $350 for 25 minutes is the most I've ever paid for basic electrical work. When I pushed back, he said "Google placement is expensive." If you use this company, insist on a basic service call first. Don't agree to pricing until someone actually sees the problem.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Brandon Vales for his fantastic work in repairing our breaker…read more When we called, he quickly responded and fixed the issue; we've been without electricity since Sunday due to a massive branch falling on our power line and dislodging the breaker box, which necessitated Oncor to switch off the electricity supply. My name is Sir Barry Mark Harman, I am a licensed Texas Public Insurance Adjuster and have an…read moreinactive Building and Engineering Contractor's License in good standing since June 1982. I provided AAA Judicial Services for 17 years on matters as large as $10Million dollars And some of you may remember me as I was advised as many as 80,000 of you have reviewed articles I wrote. So I have managed work over a hundred million and now write to about a little $100 job because this gentleman is truly deserving of your Notice. I was impressed and to get me to say that, it would be easier for you to pull teeth out of an elephant with a pair of tweezers! So my wife wanted the Kitchen Fan-Light cleaned and when she yells jump you simply say how high. Being 25 years old, the second I touched it, blade #5 snapped off so I had to run buy a new Hunter Fixture. With 12' ceilings I decided to have sparky install it and called to get a couple bids. SCOTT SAWYERS was the lowest responsible bidder, his man showed up the next business day as promised and did a fine job. He put on an extension chain and wired the fan to a separate switch so it had the on/off and with the chain, low, medium and high settings. He then wired the lighting kit through the other switches for control going in or out of the kitchen. Excellent job. He then noticed movement in a few switch plates as they had short screws into the J-box so he immediately swapped those for the right length. He then accidentally noticed the bald in a bathroom Fixture was loose so once again, he spent 2 minutes and fixed it correctly while he was standing there. What I am telling you about this firm is not that they did a job for $100 and not that they spent ten cents on 2 screws. Having been an Expert Witness for 30 years, I am telling you this is a firm of good morals and scruples who actually did things they did not have to do. You cannot find quality contractors like this so having taken an Oath of Office, I do not hesitate to recommend this firm. I found them to be reliable and trustworthy. As9de from being the lowest responsible bidder I called, that is worth far more than whatever we pay to get jobs done in our homes.
