These services don't come cheap, so I've done my fair of research. Crafty was recommended to me and sounded like it would be a good fit. They've got a tidy location across the street and close to Sport Chek on Broadway. I decided to walk in without an appointment and was in luck on a Saturday when they weren't too busy. First impression : bright and airy. I was served right away and directed to a chair near the front. The massage chair was fairly standard with options for back/shoulder/neck massage. I was a bit surprised not to be offered tea but it didn't seem like the other clientele were either. My combined service took a little over half an hour as both the mani/pedi were completed simultaneously. Staff were not chatty at all which was fine with me, if a bit awkward. They do have the option here of an "express" mani/pedi if you're short on time and want to skip the hand/foot massage and other little extras. I decided to get the full experience as it had been awhile and felt a little pampering was in order. Overall, I think they did a great job and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. For $66 excluding tip, it's a few dollars more than I'm used to for this but the attention to detail was good and I'm pleased that I made the trip. The hot stone foot massage in particular was really nice. I would happily return here.

One of the girls was giving me a pedicure and Anna (the owner) was giving me a manicure at the same time. The girl was scraping the dead skin off my foot and wasn't paying attention and scraped the side of my foot. Realizing what she'd done, she immediately dropped my foot in the water to hide the cut, which stung so fcking bad. I pulled my foot out of the water and blood was gushing out. Anna said something to her in Vietnamese and the girl ran to grab ointment and bandages. I'm not impressed that she didn't acknowledge her mistake right away, but I didn't make a fuss. The girl was so embarrassed, she didn't look at me for the rest of the time so Anna ended up taking my payment. It's surprising that she charged me full price and I'm an idiot for tipping on top of that. This was 2 months ago and I wasn't going to bother writing about this, but that cut is now a scar, which I'm not happy about. I will never go back there, if I had a health condition this could've ended even worse.

After Nancy confirmed my appointment she harshly said, "and don't be late otherwise I won't be able to see you until 1:30 ". Her comment stunned me because I had not been late in many months. Over the years I thought Nancy did not like me because no matter how much I said hello, tried to make conversation and gave good tips she was very serious, hardly acknowledged me when I came in she never wished me a nice day or thanked me for a tip. She shows no basic customer service in politeness. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because I did like how my nails were done, but yesterday I read through other reviews where others were treated rudely by Nancy. Other customers also said Smile Nail employees would call them if they are even 1 minute late for their appointment threatening to give their appointment away. I had the same experience. Then I would walk in the salon and no one would even be there, they weren't even that busy. Frankly, those phone calls made me feel a bit harassed but I let it slide and tried to remain a loyal customer. Other times if I asked for my mani pedi to be done separate, Nancy would get upset and say, " I'already told you before, you have to request that ahead of time, as if its my fault for not keeping track of all her rules. " It's rude and I don't need to be chastised like a child, especially in front of other customers. I pay too much money and give nice tips to be treated so harshly. They are losing workers and recently I have noticed they only have one other guy still working with them. Lin is friendly and gives good pedicures. She recently complained to me that no one wants to work for them. Perhaps if they created a kinder environment others would want to continue working there. I ended up calling back a couple hours later and just cancelling my appointment. I will no longer be going to Smile Nails or recommending them. I hope they stop and read these comments and work harder on their attitude.

This came with heal work, leg/hand scrub, leg/hand moisturizer, a leg STONE massage and a hand/leg regular massage. Plus, when you leave, they provide you with an after care scrub. THIS IS ALL FOR $84 including tax!! I could not be more happy with my service, and will 100% be returning. They also offer a punch card where you receive $10 off after 5 visits. The workers are fast and friendly. I've only gotten a pedicure done, but I've always left with soft feet and great looking nails. They open relatively early and have quite a large parking lot so finding parking isn't too difficult. As price it seems quite reasonable for Vancouver nowadays. Especially if you're just want a simple polish 10 /10 would go again.

I thought the selection of colours wasn't bad for a regular pedicure but they defintelty have more colour options for a shellac pedicure. All in all, very good experience and my nails looked great in the end. No chipping or nail polish off which is great and its been roughly a week so far, which is awesome.
