Tacos. Half eaten because we dug in before thinking about getting a photo.

After a dismal taco experience in the historic downtown, we went on a search for good tacos. So happy we found Adobos! We shared a trio of tacos and each of us were happy with the tacos we tried.

The morning of, we noticed the weather was perfect and asked to move our reservation outside and they happily accommodated us with no problem. They started us off with chips and pico de gallo. I asked for extra salsa roja and salsa verde. The pico had a nice kick, the roja had a smoky flavor, and the verde was more on the roasted side. Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of the verde, which was a bummer since it's usually my favorite. The chunky guac, though, was a solid 10/10. The margarita flights were 30% off, so that was an easy choice. Tons of flavor options to pick from, which was fun. For my main, I went with the Suizo burrito topped with melted Chihuahua cheese. I didn't love it -- maybe I'm spoiled living in the Quad Cities where we've got incredible Mexican spots on every corner. Something about it just felt a little off. To top it off, we were constantly swatting away flies at our table, which didn't help. Still, the service was great and our server was super friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a good dinner, and I'd definitely go back... just to try something different next time.

Los Aztecas II has about what to expect as far as strip mall ethnic cuisine it seems. About as forgettable as many others like it. The prices are also high for basic things. Coming here the first time it looked like another basic Americanized Mexican restaurant with expected items. It's got plenty of seating. There's way more than enough because it was almost empty on a weekend. As for the menu it's basic. The prices are too high for this. It's about $15 to get a margarita. They have a few flavors including mango and watermelon. It's about $18 for an entree. We each got the Create Your Own Veggie Combo, which is a choice of a couple items. Beans are okay and not made with animal fat. We got these with a bean burrito and a bean taco. It was a gas but not right away. The rest of the menu features familiar items like fajitas and stuff. Got to say it was okay as far as flavor. It's located in Galena Square. This is close to the state's only Piggly Wiggly.

I felt compelled to leave this review because exceptional service like hers deserves to be recognized. From the moment we sat down, Lexi was attentive, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. She had an answer to every single question we asked -- not just about the menu, but about the business itself. She knew so much about Bread & Vine that I genuinely thought she might be the owner. That level of pride and understanding is rare and speaks volumes about her professionalism. What really stood out was how accommodating and engaging she was. She made thoughtful recommendations, not only for food and drinks, but also for other places to visit and things to do around Galena. It truly elevated our entire experience. Because of her suggestions and the way she described everything so well, we ended up ordering (and purchasing) more than we originally planned -- simply because we trusted her recommendations. Lexi is the kind of employee every business hopes to have. She represents Bread & Vine with confidence, warmth, and expertise. She absolutely deserves recognition -- and in my opinion, a raise -- for the way she goes above and beyond for guests. I hope she sees this and I hope this reaches someone as important as her. We'll definitely be back, and a big reason why is Lexi.

It may be kind of dumpy inside but the place is also full of crazy personality. A lot of the basics along with a few fancier items. The prices are pretty okay for the portions and quality. Basically if you're a group it will probably be waiting for a table so go early. It's one of the popular places to go around here. The last time coming here we got seats at the bar and there wasn't any waiting. Has a lot of cool memorabilia to look at. There's a bunch of funny signs on the walls. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail. The Fuzzy Navel is one of the classics you can get. It's about $13 for a burger and fries. They have a veggie burger that can substitute. We each got one of these. I got it with the toppings of the Basic Burger. These come with the usual toppings like lettuce, mayonnaise which I left off, onions, pickles, and tomatoes. She got it with the toppings of the Olive Burger. These come with cheddar, lettuce, mayonnaise, olives, onions, Swiss, and tomatoes. For sure it gets busy. It's located on Main at Franklin. It has a great history, which is documented in the bar/hotel. We didn't specifically eat here, but we did eat in the hotel which I imagine is made in the same kitchen by the same staff, and it was excellent. But more specifically, the bar is great, the drinks are creative and delicious, and the prices are reasonable for a touristy area in a small town hotel bar. There are also TV's around the bar showing sports or music videos, but they are non-intrusive. But the standout is the staff. The bartender was amazing, funny, creative and helpful. The servers were similarly awesome. If you're in town, definitely swing by and have a drink. Remember to be nice to the staff and I promise they will be nice to you.
