Nice tasty selection of Mexican food. You can customize your dish. Also very fast service and a nice dining room.

Large menu board- they were very busy!

We stopped into this spot as it was close to our hotel in Galena. It's a lot like a Chipotle, but with a ton more options. We were meeting family, so we got our meals to go. I had the carnitas bowl and hubs had the chicken. Both were tasty and they also give you a small bag of chips and salsa with your order. We paid for a drink as well but when we went to get Unsweet tea, they don't offer it. They have three different kinds of tea (all flavored; all sweet) and yes I asked and was told no Unsweet. Super disappointed in that, so we wasted a couple dollars there. I can't have the sugar. Prices were good- I posted some pics of the menu and prices as of this week. Anyway, service was friendly and quick and the place was busy.

Tacos. Half eaten because we dug in before thinking about getting a photo.

After a dismal taco experience in the historic downtown, we went on a search for good tacos. So happy we found Adobos! We shared a trio of tacos and each of us were happy with the tacos we tried.

The morning of, we noticed the weather was perfect and asked to move our reservation outside and they happily accommodated us with no problem. They started us off with chips and pico de gallo. I asked for extra salsa roja and salsa verde. The pico had a nice kick, the roja had a smoky flavor, and the verde was more on the roasted side. Unfortunately, I wasn't a big fan of the verde, which was a bummer since it's usually my favorite. The chunky guac, though, was a solid 10/10. The margarita flights were 30% off, so that was an easy choice. Tons of flavor options to pick from, which was fun. For my main, I went with the Suizo burrito topped with melted Chihuahua cheese. I didn't love it -- maybe I'm spoiled living in the Quad Cities where we've got incredible Mexican spots on every corner. Something about it just felt a little off. To top it off, we were constantly swatting away flies at our table, which didn't help. Still, the service was great and our server was super friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a good dinner, and I'd definitely go back... just to try something different next time.

Thankfully, there was room because the food was delicious! We started with mocktails for the girls and a Paloma for me. Chips and two kinds of salsa were on the table quickly and then the girls ordered from the kids' menu (under ten only so this is their last chance!) and I got some shrimp fajitas. We didn't get dessert, but they do have fried ice cream that looked huge. Very fast and friendly service as well.

Our server was by within 5 minutes of being seated. As we had studied the menu, we placed our drink and food orders at the same time. I ordered the Linch Combo and selected 2 Beef Enchiladas with Refried Beans. The ground beef wasn't very well seasoned in my experience. I added the hot salsa to it and that made it pretty nice actually. The refried beans were decent. My wife ordered the Lunch Taco Salad. While there was plenty of ground beef in it, like my enchiladas, it wasn't flavorful. She also added the hot salsa to it. Before adding the salsa, she noted that the lettuce was really wet and the bottom of the taco bowl was saturated. The Chips and Salsa came out right after our meals were dropped. So that was odd. But good news - the chipped were super crispy and tasty and the 2 salsas were great too. We both ordered Wine Sangria. There want any fruit in them but they were tasty. The menu here is Humungous. Something for everyone for sure. And it was I that they had lunch dishes at a lower price (~$10).

I felt compelled to leave this review because exceptional service like hers deserves to be recognized. From the moment we sat down, Lexi was attentive, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. She had an answer to every single question we asked -- not just about the menu, but about the business itself. She knew so much about Bread & Vine that I genuinely thought she might be the owner. That level of pride and understanding is rare and speaks volumes about her professionalism. What really stood out was how accommodating and engaging she was. She made thoughtful recommendations, not only for food and drinks, but also for other places to visit and things to do around Galena. It truly elevated our entire experience. Because of her suggestions and the way she described everything so well, we ended up ordering (and purchasing) more than we originally planned -- simply because we trusted her recommendations. Lexi is the kind of employee every business hopes to have. She represents Bread & Vine with confidence, warmth, and expertise. She absolutely deserves recognition -- and in my opinion, a raise -- for the way she goes above and beyond for guests. I hope she sees this and I hope this reaches someone as important as her. We'll definitely be back, and a big reason why is Lexi.

I can't say it was bad nor excellent. The food was good. We had the reubean sandwich, grilled cheese with tomato soup, and tips with spaetzle. It has a great history, which is documented in the bar/hotel. We didn't specifically eat here, but we did eat in the hotel which I imagine is made in the same kitchen by the same staff, and it was excellent. But more specifically, the bar is great, the drinks are creative and delicious, and the prices are reasonable for a touristy area in a small town hotel bar. There are also TV's around the bar showing sports or music videos, but they are non-intrusive. But the standout is the staff. The bartender was amazing, funny, creative and helpful. The servers were similarly awesome. If you're in town, definitely swing by and have a drink. Remember to be nice to the staff and I promise they will be nice to you.
