My sister and I stayed at this "Inn" First the pictures and description on their site doesn't even come close to the actual place. We almost left and tried finding another place, but everywhere was sold out due to the concert in Bangor which is why we were there, so we had no choice but to stay here. When I took a shower, there was no curtain liner, so your body constantly touched the wet, stinky cloth curtain they hung. Also, it felt like I was going to fall through the shower floor, it was very unstable. The owners when we checked in were nice enough, but they use the front office to store all their personal stuff, toys, shoes etc. it was a mess to walk into a professional office and see that. Then when one of the children that lives there opened the door behind the desk, well that is when we should have run and never looked back. Dishes piled as high as you can see and just rubbish and crap all over their counters and floors. If that were my business, that would be the first thing you would keep clean as customers see that! The rugs in the room had stains and maybe paint on them. The floorboard heaters were falling apart, the air conditioner had visible mold. There was a half a roll of toilet paper put in the bathroom for an entire weekend. No phone in the room, no tissues, just the very bare basics. The bedding was an old green (from the 50's) blanket, no comforter. The pillows were so unbelievably disgusting, one was flat the other was a little bigger and that's what you got! They had an ice bucket on the microwave, but didn't offer ice (smh) We tried to use the microwave but it kept shutting down all electricity in our room several times. I know the owner was getting upset that she had to keep running in the room to reset our electricity, but oh well! Don't hotels/motels/inn's have to pass some kind of code(s) to be operational? The place is a dump and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy! The children (and I know, they are kids and it's not their fault!) were running up and down the walkway in front of all the doors, thank god they open inward, or I would have knocked them out several times. I have a new car and they allow their oldest child (maybe 9 or 10) and one younger to ride his dirt bike up and down the driveway near all the customers cars. We were actually the lucky guests, as we had a dumpster on the walkway in front of our door. Remember it was high 80's to lower 90's this weekend, so the smell was just unbelievable!! They offered "free" breakfast, which consisted of a dirty plate with very old cinnamon buns on it for the entire weekend. I am beyond disappointed with this place, and feel like they owe us a refund! My sister has a house cleaning business, and by the time we left, it was cleaner in our room than when we got there. Hopefully they get the hint that the guests care more about cleanliness than they do! NEVER AGAIN!!! read more
