We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of this week and could not be happier with our stay! The hotel is lovingly updated, the staff were helpful and kind like you were staying with family, and the amenities were clean and cozy! We were huge fans of breakfast, which was delicious and perfect and complimentary. Keep this place exactly as it is because it is 100% perfect and a hidden gem! It is also a wonderful value and the perfect price point for what is offered . We already are planning to return to Maine and will definitely be staying there again!

Fabulous hotel! We booked online through Expedia and didn't really know what to expect other than that it had good reviews on TripAdvisor. The hotel is brand new, and very nicely done. Every room is very tastefully decorated and the back half of the hotel looks over the Belfast bay. We didn't have the view side, but we got to enjoy the view from the lovely breakfast room. They have a really nice indoor pool and hot tub. It looks like there is also an outdoor pool out front for in the nicer months. It was closed up of course during our stay in leaf peeping season. The breakfast was EXCELLENT. They have a variety of home made egg quiches, handmade pastries, oatmeal and toppings, fruit, yogurt and great New England coffee! Definitely the best complimentary hotel breakfast I've ever had!!! Service is very friendly too. We were given restaurant recommendations when we checked in and a warm welcome to Belfast, Maine!

Exceptional Continental Breakfast includes quiches, homemade baked goods, fresh fruit, yogurt and lots more.

This one is a true gem. Exceptional service, spotless rooms, pool and hot tub, outdoor patio, good-sized rooms .. what's not to love?

If I could leave zero stars I would. I recently stayed at the inn and was extremely disappointed. The room was very dusty and the bathroom fan stayed on all night. There were numerous stains on the rug and the tub was filthy. I cannot imagine what this place looks like during the tourist season, but it was certainly subpar and definitely not worth 186.00 a night in January. On the upside, the views are pretty and the breakfast tasty.

Beds were super comfortable with pillows made of marshmallows

Wow...hands down one of my most favorite hotels I have ever stayed at. First off, the customer service is phenomenal. The older gentleman working at the counter when we arrived was polite, accommodating and so friendly. The hotel itself looked to be brand new. Our room was amazing! Everything was brand new from the bathroom to the furniture to the sliding door and adorable balcony overlooking the harbor. We stayed in a king junior suite for our stay. The air conditioner was freezing (which we love) and super quiet. The curtains were room-darkening which are great for those of us who like to sleep a little late on vacation! Room came equipped with the essentials, coffee maker, actually pretty delicious coffee, microwave, and large fridge, all on a beautiful granite counter with plenty of cabinet space. The pool was huge, clean, and heated !! There was a shallow end as well as a deeper end that actually went to 9ft deep. We did have to skim the pool ourselves one afternoon but in the hotel's defense, there were men doing landscaping so a few grass clippings here and there found their way into the pool! This hotel is dog friendly and while we didn't have any dogs of our own on the trip, plenty of guests brought theirs. There is a huge grassy area in front of the harbor for dogs to run and play on. There was a complimentary breakfast served 6-9am but we missed it both mornings! However I do understand they have the typical items; cereal, bagels, muffins, pastries, etc. Plenty of parking here and there is plenty to do around the area. The hotel is off a main road so you can't really walk to places. There is a big but unfortunately closed restaurant on the harbor right next door to the hotel, which would have been a great spot to walk to and dine if it were open! Young's Lobster Pound is a minute drive with waterfront dining if you want some fresh Maine lobsters and clams. A little further into Belfast is Bell the Cat- highly recommended for breakfast and coffee, with the added bonus of live music in the morning! The Belfast art district is a short drive with tons of little shops for whatever you may need- souvenirs, food, icecream, clothes, used or new books, and other odds and ends (lots of vintage and handmade craft shops). Also a bar (I believe it was called Rollie's) with an awesome selection of craft beer on tap. There is also the Belfast Co-op which is for those of you who miss your Whole Foods when you're away from home, complete with a deli, bakery, and made-to-order meals like soups and sandwiches. The ONLY thing I had an issue with, which may not be a deal to some if any, was that the sliding glass door had no screen door as well. We would've liked to leave the door wide open to get some of that fresh ocean air into the room, especially on cooler nights. However, the second you open that door there's always the bugs that want to come right in so unfortunately, the sliding door remained closed when not in use. Hands down, I would not only stay here again, but I am already recommending it to my family and friends. You cannot beat their prices (under $200 a night for a beautiful and completely renovated ocean view room!?)

VERY clean, quaint mom and pop hotel. Professionally run, friendly service. Located about a mile and a half from downtown.

Judy and Ed, the owners, held the door open for us as we approached the entrance. The lobby had beautiful chandeliers and fall decor. We pleasantly chatted about how similar MN and ME are with them as we checked in. We received a pair of actual keys to our room, which was a refreshing escape from electronic this and selfie that. Since we were only in town for a night, we stayed in a double-queen room instead of a full suite. We had our own separate entrance to the room from our own private patio area, which made it feel like we were entering a vacation home. Every detail in the room was luxurious. From the Bose stereo playing jazz, to the fireplace, to the ornate furniture, to THE most comfortable bed and pillows, to the hardwood hallway leading to the large bathroom with light dimmers. In the morning, they set-up a wonderful breakfast in-room for us: spinach-feta frittata, spring salad, fruit salad, blueberry-lemon pound cake, OJ, and coffee. Having to check out and leave really sucked. Additional info: Must book weeks in advance, as they only have 8 rooms. Park in the front to check-in, then you can re-park in the private lot in the back. They are right next to the Co-op and within walking distance of basically everything in town!

The floor slopes a bit in this cabin but it made no difference to our comfort. It has a nice comfy bed and the large bathroom has a walk-in shower. The beach is wonderful with great views. It's not a Hilton resort and that was perfect for us It's a nice, laidback comfy place to stay with nice people working there. It's very reasonably priced and it's located in a less touristy area within easy driving distance of Acadia and most coastal towns. 10/10 we'd happily stay again!

We stayed in cabin #42 which was beachfront and directly across from the shuffleboard play area, the fire pit, and playground. This cabin was in a good location on the property for accessing those amenities and enjoying the view from inside or from the large porch. The cabin itself is so cute inside at an initial walk through and we just loved it. The air conditioner was on when we went in which we appreciated because sometimes hotel rooms can be stuffy at check in. The check in process was pretty quick and easy. I booked via phone and was not told until I arrived that they have a one pet policy. This was also not listed on their website. They prefer pets not be on the furniture, but have no way of enforcing it which we found out the hard way... The comforter on the bed had clearly been peed on by someone's pet at some point as it had a big yellow spot when we removed it (we never keep comforters on in hotels because we don't know how often they're cleaned). The sheets and other blanket seemed clean and didn't have any scent - urine nor laundry. We quickly discovered the building is slanted which made for a strange and almost disorienting experience walking around. At 5 minutes past posted checkout time, they rang the room repeatedly to tell us to leave even though I asked for late check out (30 additional minutes) since I had a work call scheduled. The room, aside from the comforter, was clean and the space was charming. The view can't be beat and the price was really good for the location. I probably would've considered staying here again, but I have 2 dogs.
