Best food and service on the lake. What a step up Thanks for being here this place just continues to get better

Admiral's Cove - Drink menu

I wanted to like it at minimum. Such a poor visit. Three kids, two adults; meh. Being the only nearby option for dinner, they took my money with disappointment. Overpriced for less than average food. Two cheese burgers were over cooked. The chicken tenders chewy and passable. My fish and chips were not fresh tasting and overcooked. The fries were the only item that tasted decent. $4.50 per cup of chocolate milk for the kids, "Inflation is real...how much do you usually pay for kids chocolate milk at other places (pause) is $4.50 okay?" asked our server. Like I had to negotiate this normal request. If you are here for drinks, I would hope they do better. I did not order an alcoholic drink. I feel terrible for the low review. Pandemic time period, they need the business. But, I was disappointed at all turns. No ice tea after ordering and being told to chose something else five minutes later. No American cheese for burgers, again after ordering five minutes before, had to substitute Swiss or cheddar as they were out. The ketchup bottle lid was crusty and had a hard plug that I had to remove with a knife. The flies, I guess you just get used to them, sure didn't help. It was disappointing. $90 total plus 20% tip for a below average dinner without alcohol for two adults and three kids. I hope the food can be improved by the owners. Service was great. Work with what you have? It wasn't the servers fault. Thin menu should not have issues, basics. Overall, not worth the visit.

Most definitely not new to lake McConaughy and visiting but I decided to wander a little further down the lake I'm really glad I did. Some of the best New England clam chowder I've had I kept saying this taste like the great ones I've had in Massachusetts sure enough the chefs from Connecticut originally!! I have had a chance to visit this establishment but at least six times now and I have never been disappointed by the service or the menu that they serve! This is not bar food this is a great restaurant with a great menu and a great atmosphere!! I had to try the sangria and it's delicious chicken tacos were fabulous and the bang bang shrimp my goodness makes the fat man happy Cheers

My new husband & I came to Lake Mac for our honeymoon & we ended up spending three of our nights drinking (& eating) here! We LOVE the Cove!! Service was slow day two but they were super busy!! The food is amazing-- Jason suggests the shrimp and I suggest the lada collada! Sheyann (spelling?) was AMAZING! We will definitely be back!!

Not a lot of options in the area. We wanted to get out of our camp to celebrate a birthday. Was a little nervous about this place, but was pleasantly surprised. They have a huge outdoor patio with a stage and outdoor lights. Our group was large (14) and they sat us indoors with no problems at 7pm on a Saturday night. Our waitress, Jill, was a hustler. She worked really hard for us. The drinks were tasty , I enjoyed the Salty Bitch, but I know my friends liked the margaritas too. The food options were surprising....like truffle fries and Bang Bang Shrimp (both good). Burgers were good, the Fish sandwich was good, overall all the food was great. Again, so pleasantly surprised for such a remote restaurant to be this tasty. The best part was our dessert- we ordered dessert for my birthday and they sang loudly for me...and the GM came out singing too and ended up comping all of the desserts for my birthday. So sweet of them, and made this birthday girl feel pretty special. Thanks for a great night!!!!

Great place to have dinner with friends and family while watching the sunset on the lake. On Saturdays during the summer they have bands come in. Most of the time they're awesome, and when they are its a night full of cover songs, dancing and cold drinks!

Plywood on a part of the ceiling to cover what looks a leak in the past. Speaking of plywood, love the plywood vanity held up by 2x4s in the bathroom. Okay, so this Yelp page desperately needs to be updated with more accurate information. First,…read moreKingsley lodge is now under new ownership and the old reviews are not really applicable to the business under the new ownership. Second, it is no longer called Kingsley Lodge but Kingsley Dam Resort on their website. You can also find the same exact cabins on Airbnb. It's cheaper to book through their direct website. Don't try to copy and paste the address from their website into Apple Maps. For some reason, it reroutes you a different way. We solved this by just dropping a pin at 1510 N-61, Ogallala, NE. (Check in at the gas station) I highly recommend that the owners of the lodge update this page so that customers aren't confused like we were! Third, yes the cabins are directly across from the water. However, I would not consider it accessible for most people. My husband, toddler, and I were able to climb down the trail by taking turns in passing off our child in between the rocks. I would say most moderately fit individuals can deal with the steep climb. I don't recommend taking a small child unless you are very confident that they can handle it. With that being said, WOW it was well worth the hard work to arrive to our own private beach. It was hard to believe that we were in Nebraska and not Southern California! The cabins ARE clean, but pretty dated. By the time we paid the nightly rate, pet fee, and other fees, it came to $200 for the night. I did feel that it was worth it but I really wish that we got more bang for our buck. It is called a resort but I don't believe there are any real amenities like a pool or anything. I think there is a lot of room for progress in this area. For dinner, we went to Driftwood in downtown ogallala. (About 12 minutes away). The burgers were very good and supplied by a local beef ranch. I recommend eating there for a nice dinner. Overall, 4/5 stars. I'd say this would be an excellent spot for people that love adventure. As most of their online reviews and FB page says, the new owners are superb and are bringing this place in an amazing direction!

Best place ever! Yes, it's hard getting through to make…read morereservations. You have to leave messages and emails. Our family has been coming here for decades. Jackie is super cool! We love this place. Great times. Yes, the place is a bit run down but they're trying to make it. I will always love this place no matter what. Thank you Jackie and the staff for making it a great time for our family over the years.

This place is a total joke. First of all- you can't book online- you have to leave a message and…read morethey don't call you back for like 5-6 weeks - so you have no idea if you even have the place booked. If you're lucky- you might be around when they call you back to confirm everything. They have your information on a rotary so she writes down your reservation on a carbon copy. The actual cabins are total dumps. Might as well stay in a tent. For $150 a night, it's a rip off! Keep in mind that the staff - no one is wearing masks and they could care less about Covid. Lastly, their $35/day boat launch service is a total rip off and is definitely buyer beware. to using it. I went to load the boat and it was really windy and the guy wouldn't even get off his tractor to help get it lined up since the wind was blowing me off course. He just sat there and watched my boat slam into the boat trailer. I was pissed- it damaged my boat and nearly took out the tail light. If I'm paying $35- you need to get in the water and help! Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere. This place is redneck heaven and if that's your jam, then this is the place for you!
