We had a large scale Indian wedding, and were short on time but Admiral was very efficient at providing guards at the last minute. There pricing structure is pretty reasonable but you do pay for quality security. The guards communicated with each other and reviewed the guest list. We had a gentleman who attended and became unruly, but the guards handled the matter very diplomatically and persuaded the gentleman to leave which was amazing as anger is a hard thing to control. Thank you I hope to hire you guys for other events soon. read more

Supervisor was very rude I called for information and only got one word answers and ended the call in my face!!

They have too many internal issues with management and owners who are foreign Egyptian. Women are never promoted. I'm a senior and I was disrespected and HR done nothing. I reported this company to the EEOC and won my right to sue letter. As of 2023 they had changed their name to AX9 security. Good luck working for them they say the have long term contracts then they don't give me any work. They loose good contracts to other security companies. They say they have part time work then they try to use me like a flex officer instead of a dedicated post officer. They force me in traveling here and their......that's not right. Then they threatened my job. I'm a respectful senior. read more

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL Update May 13th 2020: I am now being harassed by an employee by the name of Brandon Alphons whom Facebook (yes, found me on FB to harass me) messaged me "F*** you and your dude." Real mature. See attached pictures!!! I have since been employed by the US government, and couldn't be happier. Orig. Post April 2020 - I agree with Leah - unprofessional interview process. I interview for what seemed like 5 minutes. I too, am over qualified considering I've worked in a call center for more than 10 years and dispatched for more than 4 years. Before even going into interview I over heard the "gentlemen" in the back talking about my appearance. I was hoping I wouldn't get hired based on being attractive or not hired based on being attractive. I've worked in mainly male dominant industries and have never had this happen. Like Leah said, dodged that bullet! Don't waste your time interviewing with these meatheads read more

I order a guard for my wedding. I paid for the service in advance. I did ask about their vac protocol. Never got an answer back but assumed they would show up. No one came. Called 5 times to get an answer from a live person. Was transfer 3 times and the calls drop or went to voice mail. Got a email stating their reason was I never confirmed their vac protocal (which was not sent to me). They dropped the ball and tried to blame me. Go to another firm that you can communicate with a live person and have them call you back. Personalize service is not there. I very rarely put negative reviews but I felt you need to be aware of their lack of communication over the phone. On a positive note they did promptly refund my deposit. read more

Worst security company ever . Playing loud music always when driving around at night . If you want to live on the hood instead of your lovely neighborhood then choose this company . Acting like they're US military at the war , in most cases like a police officers with bad attitude . Towing neighbor vehicles by stupid reasons . Not even sure how they get contracts with anyone read more

I worked here for a few months in the operations center. The entire company is incredibly disorganized. I'm convinced this company is a ticking time bomb. If you're considering working here, don't. The management team has very little management experience and it shows. Management is disrespectful and almost abusive to its staff. Anybody to speaks up is often retaliated against with write-ups or termination. I've become aware of several managers talking behind my- and other employees- backs in the most immature ways. If it benefits them, they will lie about you. They allow an employee who's committed several fireable offenses and does very little actual work to remain, driving away all other workers who are forced to put up with their lack of effort and sour attitude. The directors are incapable of properly managing their departments or conducting themselves appropriately. Human Resources is entirely useless, they're only there to protect the company and it's higher ups. Employees are bullied into silence and provided no help whatsoever. This is the most toxic environment I've had the displeasure of working in. If you plan on using Admiral for its security services, rethink that as well. Most of the guards were consistently late, did not show up at all, fell asleep on their post, left early, etc. There'd be a lot of instances where a site would have to go unstaffed completely due to lack of reliable employees. You'd be taking on a liability, if anything. You'd be better off using a different security company. read more

As a person in California who possesses a guard card I would never recommend this company to work for. They like to dangle higher than average wage carrots in front of one's face in an effort to get them to sign up and work for them, however, they over hire and only permit those to work on a first come first served basis. They're supervisors will also lie in an effort to cover their own asses in the events that you may attempt to rectify the situation through HR and office employees. The HR staff will also claim that you are yelling at them and will use that as an excuse to hang up on you. I would not work for these scumbags no I recommend that anyone else do. Those of us that have worked a few decades in this entry know that there are always crappy companies out there that were able to get there PPO through the state and BSIS. read more

They came out late. Called the company several times on the day they were supposed to come out. The security guy did bot wear any type of uniform to indicate he was security. He just wore all black. Unprofessional and lazy. read more

Update: this is my answer to the comment on my review written by the Admiral Security guy, which i sent to him. I reproduce it here because I find his comment disingenuous. Are you sure that "officer" was really " a temporary fill in?" Are you sure he was not one of your top shift supervisors? How many temporary fill ins do you use and how often? This seems important since quality screening of these fill ins is obviously nonexistent. Are you honestly claiming that you know who that employee was from my description of a situation happening almost 2 years ago? If so what was the approximate age, height and skin tone of the "officer?" read more

This company was recommended by a friend of mine when I asked him where to get security guards for a family party that I was planning and the rented venue required that we have at least two guards due to the size of the place and the amount of people. I called, and I was able to get all the information I needed fairly quickly. I thought the prices were reasonable (but again, I don't really have any experience with hiring security guards), and whole process was pleasant and hassle free. The guards were professional and very polite to all of our guests. They were on time and didn't leave until all was good to go. I would recommend them for any private event that requires security. One thing that I don't understand however as I'm writing this review, is the other reviews on here from employees. whether good or bad I though yelp was for consumer reviews not happy/ticked off works, and if so .... TO ALL MY OLD EMPLOYERS ... PREPARE FOR MY WRATH ... jk .. :-D read more

LAUGHABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL hiring process. Agreeing with Amanda and Leah their hiring/interview process is pathetic and a complete joke.  Their job descriptions by HR are misaligned with the role itself (in office vs 90% on the road), have glaring requirements missing (must own a vehicle!), and incorrect cities in the ads where jobs are actually located (another position she spoke of with the expectation I would simply relocate on a whim).  Every reply after questioning all this in the interview was "Oh I'm sorry for the mistakes in all this". All this left me with further confusion during the interview and the HR interviewer said to follow up with questions in an email, which I did, and haven't heard a word from her since (even with follow up calls).  And in the initial correspondence prior to the interview, she can't even spell correctly ("oh, my apologizes").  If you don't just accept the position on the spot (what are you even actually accepting??) you will never hear from them.  I don't know where they get these clowns to do the hiring but the process could be better performed by children.  I've since landed a better job in my opinion and in hindsight glad their HR staff ended up being a comical joke. read more

Called for last minute security that was needed for a party at a country club. I was concerned because it was so last minute that our event would be canceled but to my relief this company was able to have security on site the next day and the event went off flawlessly! Thank you!!! read more

This Worst security company you could ever choose. guards are always late and supervisors never communicate with clients. They are so unorganized I'd rather go with a ring doorbell if I were you. read more

Very unprofessional interview process. I had an interview for a dispatcher position, in which I was over qualified for. The interview was very short and I was probably not considered for my salary expectations. I never received a follow up call or nothing after reaching out. Welp I dodged that bullet. These companies are a dime a dozen and I found a Gov dispatch position that better suited my salary. Don't settle for less and stay away if you're professional. read more

I used this company for a private party a while back. Most of their in a house staff that helped was nice. It's hard to get them on the phone but overall great company, professional security officers great follow through. I seen a couple of the stores they had guards at. Seemed to take their job seriously, not like others I see. Good company! read more

I just wanted to give a shout out to Michael Lazarus and his team (Specifically Justin & Melvin). I have been working for ABM parking for about a little over a year processing payments for the drivers. Sometimes drivers will approach me before I am in the office. Justin and Melvin have come out the guard booth each time to make sure I was safe. It made me feel better knowing that they were actually paying attention to their surroundings. Stephanie and Mike are great as well. Always making sure we have any updates on incidents happening prior to our arrival. Stephanie has also approached the drivers about walking up to my car regarding business before office hrs. Michael Lazarus runs a great team!! I like managers that can step in for their team when he needs to. I am not as anxious when I am approached by customers out here at Seaport, because I know Admiral is watching out for me, with these crazy drivers. I hope they see this, because they work hard...Kudos to them!!!!!! read more

If I could give Admiral Security Services zero stars, I would. They have a couple of clowns working at the Whole Foods store on Haight and Stanyan Street, San Francisco. One of these idiots actually packs a gun. One weekend, I decided to pick up a few grocery items there. I have never shopped there before. A couple of minutes after I entered, this clown who was wearing a badge and uniform started following me around for no apparent reason. It was a warm day, I was not wearing any jacket nor was I carrying any kind of shopping bag. His surveillance of me lasted over 5 minutes and I decided file a complaint with the store manager. I did not give them the pleasure of my business and left the store. You should avoid this store. read more

I was in chipotle in line minding my own business and out of nowhere two chicks started screaming at each other and the security guard came right into the loop and had stopped the fight very quickly... Well the fight started again outside w more screaming and yelling and again the security guard from admiral security stopped the fight very quickly and made sure everyone was safe and ok... Thank god for the security guard cause I was right next to the girls that were screaming and I wasn't put in the middle of anything because of that security guard being there! Thank you admiral security. read more

This company is amazing! I was leaving whole foods and it was kinda late! There were a couple of undesirable people out in the parking lot and obviously one of the security guards could tell I was a little nervous to walk to my car alone... He walked right over and asked if he could walk me to my car and of course I said yes and it was a huge breath of fresh air that this gentlemen (security guard) was there to make me feel 100% more comfortable walking to my car late at night! I asked the gentlemen what company he worked for because I wanted to reach out to his management and let them know how outstanding he is! If I owned my own business I would definitely have this security company there to secure my business! Making women feel comfortable and safe is a huge deal with today and admiral security rocked it! Thank you so much to this wonderful company and their staff! read more

I'm really glad to find this office local in concord. We booked this company a private event, and they had everything put together nicely for us. The price is a little high, but the service was outstanding. read more

This company offers Absolutely NO Supervision. So the service you get is only as good as the guard you get. And when the guard is no good, the service is NO good! I would NOT recommend Admiral to anyone. Go with a different company. You will be better off. Also, they do not treat their employees well. read more

If you guys are wondering why the guards are so horrible it's because they aren't getting paid!!!! My boyfriend worked for this company and not only did they fire him out the blue with on explanation, but they didn't even pay him his last check!!! They said its HR problem. For two weeks he work 12 hour shifts, and now a month after working those two weeks he still hasn't been paid!!! Hatem and Diana have gave him the run around still with not one explanation to where is his check????? They know he has a child on the way and still decide to hold his pay FOR NO REASON!?! these people are disgusting and really shouldnt be working at high schools around teenagers when half the guards smoke and sell pot with the high schools kids at milpitas high and Cal hills. read more

This security service is a complete joke. I used a parking lot they enforce. I paid for three hours and left the tag in my car that I paid for in clear visibility. They booted two of my tires . I called and they sent a patrol over to remove the boots. I showed the ticket I purchased to the guard and he said because I incorrectly put in my license plate number that I had to pay 30.00 on top of the 15.00 I just paid to park there. I only had two twenty dollar bills and he said he had no change. I called for customer service for a refund. They denied to talk to me about it and said pit a complaint on line. This is supposed to be a security company but it is really just a bunch of scammers. I hope you go to church and ask for forgiveness for ripping off the public. Your company is a disgrace to the community but I'm sure they know it already. Thank you for taking my money and wasting my time with your no customer service attitude. You are awesome.. read more

This review is for Melissa, who worked security for the SF Pride Parade and is my new guardian angel. I will forever be indebted to Melissa, and in a time where it's easy to get caught up in how bad things are in the news, she is a reminder that there are good and caring people in the world. My purse was stolen on Friday from my apartment building in SF with my wallet and other valuables inside. I thought it was gone forever and spent the weekend at home canceling all my cards, filing a police report, etc. until my insurance company called me Monday morning to say a woman (Melissa) found my purse and was trying to locate me. I called Melissa and she informed me that my purse ended up across town and in the lost and found for the SF Pride Parade. I couldn't believe it! I was lucky enough that whoever stole my purse didn't take my wallet and left my IDs, including my driver's license and insurance card, in the bag (they just took some cash). Melissa said she spent the morning calling the phone numbers on my credit cards and other IDs to try to reach me and she finally got through to someone at my insurance company. My purse was one of many items in the lost and found and Melissa didn't have to try to find the owner. Once she made a couple calls and couldn't get through to anyone, she could have easily put my purse back in the pile and moved on. But she didn't and kept making calls until she reached someone. I am in so in awe of her kindness and don't think I've met anyone with a higher standard of integrity than Melissa. I still can't believe she took the time to make sure a total stranger got back their purse and valuables. An ENORMOUS thank you, Melissa, for making sure my purse was returned - I don't think I can put into words how grateful I am to you for your huge act of kindness. You saved me a trip to the DMV, Bart to get a new Clipper card, and more - not to mention I got my favorite purse and pair of sunglasses back. I will send a thank you in the mail to the above work address. I can definitely say I wish there were more people in the world like Melissa. She has inspired me to pay it forward! read more

DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!! Their communication skills with their employees are HORRIBLE. When I first began working for them I picked up a lot of extra days due to the fact that they were either short staffed or people were always calling off. During one situation I had just got off of a shift at 11:30PM and was called and asked if I can go to a different site for an additional shift. When my check came they refused to pay me overtime for working a double shift and stated that since the 2nd shift began after 12AM that I was not granted overtime pay. Another situation was when I had told them I am available for working extra shifts because I needed the money and they had me working a site for almost 12hrs due to the Occupy Oakland riots. Instead of being thankful for the time I put in because they could not find another guard to relieve me, they took two of my regular days because they did not want to pay me overtime. There were always problems with my paycheck and after talking to a few other officers they had the same problem as well. Keep in mind this is a family owned and operated business so when it comes to someone in the office making a mistake whether it be with scheduling or getting paid they all cover for each other. Recently, I was fired because I put my foot down about not being paid for an entire shift that I had proof that I worked but they refused to pay me for. When I asked them why I was being let go, they told me that i had been written up three times, had 4 call offs within a 6-month period and was being accused of sexual harrassment. First of all, I was only informed for one of my write ups. No one ever informed me of the other 3 they claim I had. I also never was told to come in to the office and sign any write ups, which from my experience from previous employers you are supposed to be informed about the write up, warned, and sign that you understand why you have been written up. Second of all, all of my call offs were either 4hours prior to my shift or longer, and for one of them I even had a doctors note. Lastly, the one that was most shocking to me was the sexual harrasment accusation. They stated that this occurred on Dec. 31st. I was not informed of this situation until I asked them why I was being fired. Proper protocol for handling a sexual harrassment accusation was not conducted. They never held an investigation, I was never interviewed about the situation, or given a fair and proper investigation. When I went to the office to turn in my uniform I let them know that my lawyer needed a copy of why I was being fired and when I asked them about the sexual harrassment accusation, they said that there was no sexual harrassment charge. All of the things they stated they fired me for were inaccurate and not handled professionally AT ALL. i am now in the process of filing a lawsuit against this company. I just wanted to warn future employees to stay away and find another company that will appreciate and have some respect for their employees instead of taking them for granted and using them. read more
