Larry towed my 2017 Mustang GT today which was tough because it's heavily lowered, but took all extra precautions for me to ensure a perfect experience in keeping the car untouched. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about but Larry you did amazing ! read more

Currently sitting on the fucking side of the highway for the last two hours, gonna be waiting here another two hours. No one fucking followed up with me. No one bothered to let me know Anything. Now I'm supposed to sit here and fucking wait for a magical driver to appear in the next hour or two maybe then I have fucking work tomorrow. What a fucking joke of a company. read more

I recommend this company 100%!!!! I will never use another tow company BUT these folks for my GTO! It's lowered quite a bit and they seem to be the only company who respects my car enough, and knows how to dolly it without damaging it! I've unfortunately had to use them twice in 4 days (lol) but they deliver the quality you would expect! Pricing is also super reasonable, especially for a show car! read more

I gave them all of the proper documentation to get my car. I paid the fee and signed the paperwork. When he started to show me on a map how I had to go get my own car, I reacted with displeasure. His little man feelings must have gotten hurt and he slammed the window close and will not let me get my car. Men are so sensitive. read more

There's a reason this company had a 2.3-star rating at the time of my review. My experience was appalling. I was threatened with having my car impounded over a $26 balance--the difference between what my auto insurance covered and what they claimed I owed. Instead of handling the matter professionally, the driver used intimidation and held my vehicle hostage over a trivial amount. When I called to complain, the woman I spoke with was just as rude and dismissive as the driver. She told me the manager was Darryl and unapologetically stated this was "their policy," as if threatening customers over $26 is normal business practice. It got even worse--they actually went back to the Cadillac dealership and retrieved my keys until I paid the $26, effectively holding my property hostage. That is not customer service; it feels predatory. If a company is willing to threaten impoundment and withhold your keys over $26, imagine how they handle bigger issues. Unprofessional, hostile, and unethical. I would never use this company again and strongly caution others to stay away. read more

GREEDY THEIVES. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. I called Adkinson, but I wasn't sure if they were not going to be able reach the vehicle because of its location. The dispatacher was supposed to send a driver to eyeball the situation and provide a quote if it could be done. And in minutes, due to Greed, the vehicle was being pulled. No authorization was given. We had to get out of the vehicle, I demanded they release the vehicle, I filed a report with JSO and the State of Florida. I had to pay them to release the vehicle. The owner refused to refund my money although they were wrong. So I must let the consumers know. read more

My son had an accident this past Sunday. This company automatically showed up and proceeded to tow the wrecked car. The driver didn't explain anything to my son...just said the insurance would take care of it. Unfortunately, the insurance didn't cover it because his policy didn't have "collision" on it. Went to this tow yard on a Wednesday to retrieve the vehicle and was told I had to pay $699 for FOUR DAYS of storage!! This place is a SCAM, and I'm going to find out if they have a contract with the city because we DIDN'T contract them! The service at the window was APPALLING from the representative who services us. Tried to ask WHY it was so expensive, and he gave some off-the-wall answer. JACKSONVILLE, BEWARE... this company is a RIP-OFF!! If you have a car accident...DON'T LET THEM TAKE YOUR CAR!! I HATE to see what they would have charged the insurance company. read more

They mishandled my stolen recovery bike, busted the seals, and left fresh fork fluid pooled on the rim got photos to prove it! When I asked for their insurance certificate, which Florida law (Statute 715.07) says they HAVE to provide, they flat-out refused. Unprofessional doesn't even cover it straight-up dodging responsibility and breaking the law. Stay far away from this shady dirt hole unless you want your vehicle trashed and zero accountability! read more

Worst tow truck experience yet. Dirty hands all over the interior of the doors and forced the bumper of another vehicle on the back seat. No respect for other people's property. Threw the debris (also another vehicle) in my moms front seat. I will never call these guys. read more

Have to it's a bad day when you're in an accident, but an even worst day to know there was a baby in the car! After police report was taken care of,I called my insurance company and they let me know that Adkison towing would be coming to my location in about 90 minutes. To my surprise they were there record time. I wish I would have gotten the gentleman's name that took care of me. The experience with him was fantastic! The last thing you need is a don't want to be bothered/ I have better things to do type of person arriving in my already stressful situation. I don't know what others experience has been with this company, but even my daughter has used them and was happy with the service . That was a compliment for sure. read more

I had a tow scheduled for 8am today. The tow guy calls me while he's driving to tell me he'll be there around 8-8:05. I waited until 8:25 to call to see where the truck is. I should be his first of the day and the guy doesn't answer. I then call the call center. The guy who answered (the reason I'm writing the review besides the guy being late) didn't listen and talked over me the entire time. He then jammed their up to an hour late policy over my voice the entire call. Seems like they really really do not care about you. Then they canceled my tow at 8:40am when they were supposed to be at my house at 8am..the guy in the call center canceled this because I hung up on him due to him consistently talking over me the entire call! If you don't mind waiting over an hour and the call center representative cancelling your tow because they run late. Use this company. I'll never recommend terrible service and terrible customer service to any one. BEWARE OF ADKINSON TOWING read more

DO NOT USE THIS TOWING COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!! If by some chance you still use this company for towing, PLEASE take video while they are loading and unloading your car. I used them to tow my car and they damaged the front of my car. I then worked the issue through my insurance company and Adkins did not want to take any responsibility AT ALL. It wasn't just a little damage either. read more

Avis Roadside Assistance sent Adkison Towing to me when I locked my rental car keys in the trunk of their Toyota Camry. For whatever reason, this is the worst possible situation and requires a locksmith to fix due to Toyota's safety features (yikes for so many reasons on Toyota's part). Tow truck came so quickly and with a smile! Great service, and even tried his own fixes before eventually towing to rental location. He went above and beyond to talk with the location before leaving and made sure I had everything I needed. The rep at Avis was abrasive and rude, and he even helped explain the situation/advocated for me. Top notch customer service. Hopefully won't need them again for a long time, but if you do need a tow, I recommend Adkison whole heartedly! read more

Jamie came out to work with us today. He was friendly and quite professional. We had a couple of different towing projects that had to be completed and each one was done efficiently, safely and most of all without any problems. We spent 3 hours with Jamie and were charged a very fair price for his services. Jamie is an asset at a time where customers need good employees to rely upon. We encourage anyone who has towing or recovery needs anywhere on the beach side of Jacksonville or Ponte Vedra to contact Adkison Towing and ask for Jamie to be your driver. read more

came to me late at night.driver very patient for my house is hard to get to. quick to get to me and take my truck

HORRIBLE service & workers. All are A-holes. Talk down to you, penny pinchers, make the process extra difficult. You can't pay ahead. They try to get you out of another $60 bucks to pull the car out of the towing company you have come there doesn't have a bunch certain paperwork. Make sure to only use a towing company for her services with them, that way they can't take you for that extra $. My aunt's car ended up here after a bad night. It literally took an entire morning and afternoon to get the car out. They quoted me 2 different prices to get my car out and you can only take it if you have cash or money order. read more

On a chaotic evening after a car crash, I found Adkison towing to be one less thing that I had to worry about. A person actually answered the phone and had me confirmed for a tow in just a few minutes. Steve was outstanding!! He was very pleasant and was great in assuring me that my car was home and sent pictures to confirm the job had been completed. The cost was very reasonable and I appreciated the extended hours!! Geico made the choice to use Adkison Towing and I was pleasantly surprised how well everything went. After reading the bad reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect. Raymond showed up on time, he was helpful, professional, friendly and very kind. I received texts letting me know the ETA and all went very well. Special thanks to Raymond the tow truck Driver. I would definitely use Adkison's towing in the future if towing is ever needed. read more

In 6/28 one of your employees towed my car from Old St Augustine Road to Florida Mineing Road and caused damage to the front end of my car. Now, because if his incompetence, I have to have my car repaired. When asked if he did it, he flat out lied, of course telling the truth is not a virtue nor l, as it seems, your company expectation. I simply ask that he be honest about what he did. If you want your vehicle towed by a reliable and honest company.. go elsewhere... read more

I try hard to look at the positives in any experience but this experience was so bad I wish I could leave zero stars. The tow trucker arrived and took photos of the car. Since my car is a lower profile my 70 yr old dad politely asked if the low profile will cause any issues to tow. My car is stock (no lowering kit or anything) he said it would be fine. My dad stated he just wanted be sure the bumper wouldn't fall off but it was okay to just continue. The tow truck employee rudely asked me to tell my dad to walk away cause he made him nervous. I responded as the car owner it's okay to go ahead and tow the car. Then the tow trucker irritably responded that he wasn't gonna tow the car and to call someone else. He gave me back my car keys and left. I know everyone can have a bad day but this was uncalled for especially since we were nice to the tow trucker. read more

I requested a vehicle tow through AAA Premium Family Membership. The person who phoned me 3 times of the next hours while my daughter waited under her membership verified my confirming the location of the car key and stated that he (Jason) would be on his way. If I ever need towing again I will recommend my insurance call them. They were courteous and on time/ early both times. The first time I was stranded at Publix and after trying to figure out how to manually shift my car from under the hood for at least an hour with my dad and brother before deciding to get a tow, the gentleman drove right up and switched it lol. He showed us where it was which was nowhere near where the YouTube videos were showing us. Then he had the niftiest tow truck machine. The second time, my insurance company scheduled with another tow company (review coming next) that never showed. I asked them to cancel that one and call this one. Not sure if I got this one again because of my request or if they were simply next on the list but I am sure glad it was this company again. The expected time was stated to be 1.5 hours so I ran to pick up my son. They called while I was otw to my son less than 30 minutes after they were scheduled to let me know they were at my house. I panicked thinking I was about to miss getting my car towed again but the gentleman assured me he could go ahead and take my car and I could drop the keys after I pick up my son... Just as cool and calm as could be which was really appreciated since I was already stressed from being stood up by the other company. All 8n all, it was a pleasant experience both times. read more

I am very disappointed in the level of service I received. I had my car towed on 4/27/24 and the driver tried to jump my battery to get the car on the tow. In doing so he put the wrong power on the battery and blew a fuse. Adkison refuses to take responsibility for what their driver did. I had to pay $150 for a 10 minute tow and now an extra $200 for damage to my vehicle that their driver caused. I will never and I hope no on else utilizes this company. At least some form of responsibility for what their driver caused would have shown their commitment to the "community " they service. read more

We had called Farm Bureau Roadside Assistance to get a tow truck. The first one dispatched never showed after 4 hours! We finally put in a new request and was assigned Adkison Towing. It still took a few hours for them to finally arrive to the repair shop but they were quick to communicate with us and kept us informed. The tow truck driver even went as far as to trouble shoot the car when he arrived to see if he could figure out what was going on. He finally got our car to the repair shop. FL Farm Bureau Roadside Assistance and Almighty Towing & Transport really let us down (it took 7 hours in total from calling for roadside assistance to the tow truck getting it to the repair shop) but Nissan of St Augustine and Adkison Towing saved the day! I'd definitely recommend Adkison Towing if you need a tow truck. read more

I DO NOT recommend anyone to use Adkison Towing EVER ! My insurance company sent this company to tow my vehicle (Geico) driver was able to simply drive my vehicle onto the flatbed, easy breezy, didn't have to break out the chain & go through the usual longer process .. only had to tow my vehicle about 5 minutes down the same road to drop it off at mechanic shop. Geico assured me the driver would take me home afterwards as I live close by mechanic in a small town (Callahan) and I've been driven home by several tow companies much further many times so I didn't have any concerns. Nope, he flat out refused to drive me home. I'm disabled , almost 56 years old and was wearing a skirt & heels! I had to walk home ! I'm calling Geico & demanding they remove this company from their call list. read more

Made a yelp account just to type this review, Recently had my car towed off the side of the highway left my key in the glove box with straight forward instructions, but shop I towed to calls me next morning saying no key to be found. Wasted half my day driving down to the shop to check, no key! This company refuses to take responsibility for there mistake making me pay $400 for a new key out my pocket cause there driver lost it, trying to say I never put it in the glove box!! Use any company but this one last thing people need is more problems added onto a already stressful situation. Car has been sitting in shop untouched for a week thanks to Adkison and also out of $400 for the key. read more

One of their workers driving their truck just tried to hit me. When I honked to warn them I had to break as they cut me off. They then stopped at the intersection of the green light in front of me so they could cut across other lanes and cars to get in the turning lane they missed. Driver did not care if they hit anyone, did not care that they stopped traffic. If I needed a towing company, I'd not use this one. Don't trust them with your car. And they need to get better, less selfish drivers. read more

This tow company was arranged by State Farm. These people were trying to tow my vehicle to a dealer which does not service my vehicle. When asked to drop it off at my home they started asking for more money just like hostage and ransom situation neither the State Farm nor the tow company give me the correct address where the hell the car is. I had to drive to two different dealerships before I found my car in the dealership's lot where they don't service the brand of car I own. the driver left the tow hook attached to the bumper. We were not able to remove it. The car was in driving condition. They left the key in the service department's drop box of the dealer which does not service my Vehicle. I took the second key with me. Started the vehicle and brought it home. BOTH Akison and State Farm behaved very bad when disclosing the location of my car. We have suspicion that they were and would have collected ransom to disclose the location of my car. i had to involve an attorney and was getting ready to involve local law enforcement that's when the State Farm called Adkid on for exact location & fizzed up the exact dealer's name and location. Bottom line - DO NOT HIRE THIS TOW CONPANY AND DO NOT INSURE YOUR CAR WITH STATE FARM. Both tried to extort more money by keeping car's location a secret. read more

My insurance chose this company to tow my car and I was quoted 120-135 minutes at 10 at night. At 2:30 in the morning I have yet to receive my car. I unfortunately fell asleep during the time waiting for my car, immediately called the company and was told it was okay as my car was currently en route to my home. Much to my dismay, I called back an hour later for them to tell me that my car was brought back to their lot as "it was an unsafe place to leave my car with the keys in it". This was my own apartment complex!! I did get an attitude with the person on the phone, admittedly, as I've been waiting 5 hours for my car, and he certainly caught one back and told me that it was my fault for falling asleep... At midnight, on a work night. Super unprofessional and dishonest service. I would not recommend them to anyone, whatsoever. Worst towing experience I have ever had. read more
