Their customer service person called 3 days before the wedding (all payments had been made) to inquire if this event was still taking place. Yes of course it is-you certainly took our money. Total lack of communication between the owners, the customer service person and us the wedding party. Day of the wedding...The bartender showed up 53 minutes late-we were lined up to go down the aisle. The company said they had geo-located her being at the venue. She was not. I texted back & forth with them and although the bartender was not there they continued to say she was. Sent pictures of the empty bar. She was seemingly drunk, totally unorganized when she finally walked in and was already running behind before the guests came into the reception from the wedding. She could not seem to make a drink in a timely fashion to save her life. She asked my son's friends to cover the bar while she went to restroom then we see her outside vaping and eating a sandwich. We fired her and my son's friends had to bartend the rest of the night. She was there 2 hours tops and we were only refunded $128 out of the $2,100 we paid. Run do not walk away from this business. If I had even lower stars and 1 I would give them that. TERRIBLE.

Hi all, The review…read morebelow from Hannah Y IS NOT TRUE. I am the groom she is referring to. I have no dog in the fight other than giving the people who worked so hard to make our wedding amazing a fair and true review. The Vista was outstanding and no one out of the 120 other guests who attended had any issues getting drinks, believe me. Geoff and Tara were amazing and threw in extra perks the night of the wedding. I do agree with her that the food was great but do not believe her when she says it was 8:45 when it was served. You will see the reference of 'poor planning' by myself and bride in her review. If you don't want a beautiful setting, delicious food, prompt and attentive service, strong and plentiful drinks, and your guests to have an unforgettable time, this is not the venue for you! Her review was done the day after my wedding and I am disappointed that it's been over two years people have been reading it. The Vista was outstanding and I would recommend it to anyone looking to have an extremely fun and phenomenal wedding!

The Vista at Applewood is truly a gorgeous wedding venue! They have great packages that includes…read moremostly everything you need; gorgeous ceremony and reception space and the food was absolutely top notch. Jeff Fisette and Janelle were fantastic to work with. Jeff is the food and beverage manager and so kind and charismatic and Janelle was our day of coordinator and beyond sweet. Bailey was even accommodating and friendly to work with when she needed to step in. I couldn't do a five-star review because of the event director, Macey. We began working with Savanna, which is a big reason why we booked the venue after meeting with her. I don't know where to begin with Macey. I understand she was newish at the time and maybe even was going through some personal issues. She was not only unresponsive and annoyed that I contacted her more than a couple of times but on top of that very rude to both myself and my family. Countless items that we agreed upon in the beginning of planning did not come through, and we were charged for two items we didn't receive on wedding day. When setting up the room, three hours before the ceremony (we hired a day of coordinator to do this) she told my aunt, "Good luck" and walked away. The cherry on top was when she called me at 0900 the day after our wedding to tell us to come and get the décor items left from the night before. We had previously agreed that we could leave the items there until 1pm. Upon arriving I had asked Macey why this needed to be done right now, her response: "well, I need to use my office don't I". Macey does not care about you or your event, she just wants your payment and quantity trumps quality. I know there are labor shortages but Applewood really does need to hire an event coordinator with at least some experience that kind of likes people or at least pretends to care

Johnny was easy to work with and let us come in to walk the space when we arrived in town to get an idea how we wanted to set up the room. The easiest way to get to the Wright Room is going in the main entrance at the Masonic Building and taking the stairs or elevators up to the second floor. You can also get there through the Appaloosa Grill, but will have to walk through the restaurant and exit through the back door into the atrium of the Masonic Building. Our event took both rooms and there were 2 complimentary screens and a Mac to use for our presentation. There are 2 bars; one on each side which helped keep our guests from waiting at the bars. The food was set up reception style with hot stations and heavy appetizers throughout the space. Again, this ensured our guests weren't waiting in queues to get food. Johnny and staff did a great job making sure the music was at a good level which allowed everyone to talk at a reasonable level without shouting. Our event was supposed to be from 5pm-8pm...but everyone was having such a good time many stayed later than that. Johnny gave me a heads-up towards the end of our event that we were getting close to spending our estimated proposal amount and whether or not we wanted to continue with the open bar which was much appreciated. The next day, our guests raved about the food and atmosphere! The room was setup with high tops, and a few couches and tables on the outskirts of the room for those that wanted to sit. We had two types of pasta, tomato crostini, shrimp cocktail, brussel sprouts, beef brisket, southwest salad, sausage puff pastries, and some desserts. It is stressful putting on such a big event, and Johnny's staff made it so much easier on me by setting up the room, preparing excellent food, getting the A/V system running for our presentation, and handling the music. Overall, I would highly recommend hosting an event here!

BEAUTIFUL VENUE FOR A WEDDING =============================…read more My husband and I attended the wedding of my cousin's daughter on Saturday, August 15, 2026 and it was memorable for many reasons. Before we arrived around 5:00 p.m. there was a hail storm that covered the ground with white. We were also a bit nervous because rain was in the forecast and the wedding ceremony was outside. Of course all the seats were wet, but the wedding venue or planner had umbrellas for everyone. One of my other cousins brought a wrap and she let many of us use that to dry off our seats. It basically started pouring right when the ceremony began and we all got pretty wet even with umbrellas, but my uncle who was officiating cut the ceremony pretty short which was funny. The house was beautiful and there was a big bar area on one side that everyone congregated at after the ceremony. Then a double rainbow appeared and everyone, including the wedding party went outside to take photos. The ballroom where the reception was held was really nice with a dance floor on one side in the middle.
