He said he would fix it and assured me that I would be amazed at what he could do. He wanted me to send him a template for the hole and the cracks! He said he would tell me how to do it. Not with my disabilities! There has been a lot of back and forth on this with the result that in email, he told me to use duct tape and saran wrap to keep dirt out of the electronics......And maybe if he will come sometime to California, he will fix the 4"x2" hole and the 2@6" cracks on the tiller cowling over the controls. Parts are no longer available! and this was not disclosed to me. When I asked about parts, he said scooter parts are pretty much standard and available. I am going to get an estimate from an auto body shop for the repair and send it to Sam. *** UPDATE*** Auto body shop said they can not fix it. and pointed out that a piece of the tiller shroud at the bottom of the tiller is missing....leaving wires and axel open to elements and dirt. Upon comparison with the manual photos, we can also see that the tiller adjustment lever is also missing. Since my arms are short, this is a major inconvenience. ***UPDATE**The power lights turn red after a mile or so. Turning the key off and on again shows full battery green. After another few blocks it starts beeping and showing red power lights again. Turning the key off and on shows what seems to be the real power level in green. ...but the speed is greatly reduced. And now the battery charger doesn't charge...showing a constant single red light. My neighbors think Sam is a scammer. I think I paid over $2,000 for a piece of junk that Sam said was in super good shape.
