Me and my family went in on Sunday and they were kind of busy. The young lady at the front said we would have a 15 min wait. So we said ok we would wait cause we were waiting on my son anyways so no big deal. Well she said our table was ready but gave a table for 4 but there was 7 of us. So this guy said Im sorry let me get this other table and I will combine them for you. Well the owner seen us standing for about 5 minutes waiting on the table and she gave it to another family that came in after us. Her being the owner, she should have been more professional about it. They told her we were waiting on that table and she looked at them like she just didn't care. I know that restaurants get busy and people get overwhelmed but you should never treat your customers like they don't matter. We got a little upset and started walking out. The poor guy that was trying to help us apologized and said I tried to help but you know. I said its ok its not your fault, she knew we were waiting on it and didnt care. She was at the cash register attending to some customers that were paying and she looked straight at us with a messed up face and attitude and act like she didnt even acknowledge us. This is not the way to run a business. If she don't like her company then maybe she should close it. Some people are just not cut out for customer service. She definitely lost our business. I had the best club sandwich I've ever had in my life at this diner on my way through Midland. I was on my way across country and pulled over here tired, hungry and dusty (seriously, west Texas is just....dusty) and left very satisfied. They had what looked like some good Mexican food on the menu as well but my club sandwich was perfect. Good sandwich and a ton of fries to go with it. I would definitely stop here again. read more

Addie's is awesome! I called an order in for lunch. It was ready as promised. I had a jalapeño bacon cheeseburger with the homemade fries. Heavens to mergatroid! This is the best burger in WEST-TEXAS! I'm sure everything else is just as good. It was at least 1/2 pound (cooked) & bin was gourmet jalapeño bun with green leaf lettuce not cheap iceberg lettuce. they served the condiments on the side to keep it from making the bread soggy. Awesome atmosphere. I didn't sit in but was a nice touch that the cashier was dressed in 50's garb. read more

Nice staff but the lunch left me thinking I should have went somewhere else. The "spicy" fires I ordered were brought to the table plain and when asked about the seasoning the waitress brought over a jar cayenne pepper and made it rain all over the fries. Hand-breaded chicken fried steak, fresh cut fries, a double cheeseburger the size of a small child...All of these things will keep me coming back to top off my gullet over and over again. And let's not forget the mashed potatoes. They actually began the day as fully skinned spuds, not some flakes in a cardboard box! It's sad what a rarity THAT is. The menu is a mixture of diner classics and Tex-Mex favorites., all of which are seasoned and prepared with skill. And there's something for just about everyone and every mood. Feeling like a light gnosh for lunch? Try the turkey sandwich. Needing something more substantial to get you through the day? The chicken fried steak or chicjen fried chicken may be what's called for here. Craving an engineering and logistical challenge? Order the double cheeseburger and just TRY to eat it in the standard fashion! Go ahead! I dare ya! The place is absolutely packed between 11:30 and 1:00, so parking can be a bit of an issue. But the food has never taken longer than 12 minutes, from the time I ordered till it was set in front of me, and if you spend that time discussing the food with other patrons, (something nearly everyone seems willing to do) you'll have a pretty good idea what you want to order on your next visit. This is the most disgusting place I have ever been to. I do not understand what all the good reviews are about. It's dark and dingy in here, the service is terrible, and the food was beyond gross!!! We ordered the pancake breakfast and it seriously was brought out 5 minutes after we ordered. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and not cooked on the inside! I literally could pick up the entire pile of hash browns by stabbing it with my fork. The eggs and sausage were super bland, we asked them if we could do the breakfast potatoes instead of the hashbrowns and they brought us cut up over cooked French fries and called them breakfast potatoes. Addie's Diner is an awesome place to go for lunch. I work downtown and had recently heard about this place. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and the people are very nice! I ordered the popo's jalepeno burger with Spicy Fries. This was an awesome burger and the spicy fries were not that spicy but very good! I recommend both! For my first time at Addie's it made me want to come back again. They also serve breakfast. I recommend this place to all my Midland friends! read more

Tried this place out from the recommendations and the high star rating. I was not disappointed. I had the special for the day which was Chicken Fried Steak. It was good as I look around the restaurant I noticed a number of patrons had it as well and no one was leaving a bite. I had tried the burgers here before, but had a co-worker recommend the chicken fry. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it came out quickly and with a generous portion. I ordered a side of mashed potatoes and green beans and was amazed that both items were fresh and authentic and not frozen or instant! The country gravy has great flavor, isn't too salty and is something to get an extra of to dip a biscuit in. The staff was so friendly and frequently checked up to make sure we were okay!! The food was excellent, big portions for a good price. I ordered the pancake plate and it was 11 dollars but, the pancakes were the size of the plate and you got two. Plus, it came with sides. I would definitely recommend this place to other!! read more

Wow, what a nice surprise! My husband and I really enjoyed Addie's Diner! We both ordered the Denver omelet but instead of the ham we asked for barbacoa - YUM! The potatoes that came with the meal were seasoned and the refried beans were NOT from a can - so delicious. They also make home made tortillas and biscuits every morning. We had a waitress who was less than helpful. I would say rude. The prices are too high for half cooked potatoes and then to see the staff eating Ihop, really. The bacon was half cooked, eggs were luke warm. I have to say there are better places. I have been to places where you can get a kids meal here you have to buy a big plate when you only want one egg. We were looking for a brunch/lunch spot and came across Addie's. When we arrived we were thinking that they might be closed since there were no cars. We went in and was pleasantly surprised. Fun and nicely decorated in the diner theme. One of us got the breakfast burrito (chorizo and egg) and it was great with a very inexpensive price. Another got a turkey club which again was really good. I got the Texas burger and was blown away how big it was (1 pound!) for the price and the jalapeño bun was so good. I am really picky about burgers but this was juicy, cooked perfectly with fresh toppings. I highly recommend the burgers! If your looking for a nice place with great food and a good price you have to try this place. Everything is homemade and really good. We will be back! read more

This Diner is okay, but not if you're looking for the best breakfast around. The chicken fried steak itself is good but has low quality gravy so that doesn't benefit the dish at all. I really don't understand/believe the poor reviews on this place. While I'm not a regular customer, I've eaten here about a dozen times in the last 2 years. Every time has been for lunch with customers; the service was always good, and the food was always good. I took my in-laws there recently and they were shocked at the size of the burgers--1 pound--and that's for the small ones! I told them that they wouldn't go away hungry, and they didn't. The meat was thoroughly cooked and good. The burgers were not at all greasy, but a larger bun would make them easier to eat. The French fries were about average and plentiful. I had onion rings, which I would only rate as OK, but nothing to write home about. My wife had the home made potato chips, which were surprisingly good! These were the only home made chips I've ever had that were NOT greasy! They were dry and tasted good! Service was good, too! The only complaint I had was that the condiments were not already on the tables, it took perhaps 3-4 minutes to get some ketchup & mustard. Not really a problem! We left with enough leftovers to keep us from going hungry for another day or two. I'm sure that the next time my in-laws come from out-of-town they'll ask to go back to Addie's Diner! read more

Excellent little hole in the wall diner! Get here early because it gets so packed you can barely enter or exit the restaurant. It doesn't look like much from outside, but the food is worth taking a chance! I think their burgers are definitely one of their better assets, especially on their jalapeño buns! Yum! My friend & I were in Midland to visit family. I found this place on Yelp. You might miss it if you didn't know it was here. The inside is pretty cool with old records hanging from the ceiling. We went here for breakfast on the day after New Years so not sure if that's why they were so busy, but they literally had a line out the door for to go orders and only 1 waitress was taking orders at the tables. The waitress was nice but due to being so busy we never got a single refill on our drinks and once our food arrived she never came back to our table.
