After Jeff installed the cage around the vent on the roof and removed the traps, the noise had stopped and I thought the problem was gone. However, the noises came back. The noise is intermittent and not every day. I called Jeff again August 25 and he came back out the next day. Since it had been two months, we had to pay the initial fee all over again. He didn't remember me until he was on his way out to the house, but I understand he deals with many customers. He checked around the roof again and saw no points of entry. Only a very small hole near the gutters. He thought it must be mice and did throw the poison we already had up in the attic opening for me. He didn't set traps because he might catch a random squirrel that isn't the attic resident (and we would have to pay per animal that is trapped). He also didn't seem like he could climb up into the attic opening. The noise seemed to go away again, but now I keep hearing something off and on at least four times since he was here. The noise is usually during the day and doesn't sound like mice to me, but of course it rarely makes noise when someone else is around. Jeff is a nice guy and I appreciate him coming out, but I am at a loss as to what to do since my problem still isn't resolved. I am not saying I would not recommend him, but for my particular issue, I need someone that can actually get into the attic and assess exactly what has taken up residence in there. It gives me a very uneasy feeling not knowing what it is or what sort of damage it is doing. But having spent a few hundred altogether so far, I don't know what steps to take without racking up a bill we can't afford. Docking stars on this updated review because I feel kind of left hanging.

He did a good job of informing me and my wife of the trapping process, and reassured us that he had years of experience and had the proper credentials and certification to capture and remove the Skunk. The week before, the skunk had sprayed under the deck and the odor permeated the entire house, UGGH, so we were highly motivated to take care of this problem. And I informed my wife, I definitely wasn't planning to catch the skunk by myself. Dave promised to come by at 3 pm on Wednesday, and true to his word, he showed up, and meticulously set up three traps at the possible access points, digging holes slightly deeper at the three suspected access holes to accommodate the traps, and blocking off the holes so that the skunk would have no other choice but to enter or exit thru the traps. Thursday morning, my wife texted me at work, and excitedly told me that the traps caught not one, but THREE skunks, all female, and all pregnant! I texted the good news to Dave, and he texted back that he would come over at noon that day to remove the animals. He informed my wife that if these skunks had given birth, the average litter size is 4 babies. Think of that, if we had not hired Dave when we did, and delayed calling him, we most likely would be dealing with not three skunks, but FIFTEEN skunks under our deck. They put a one way door and traps; said they would be back every couple of days. When they came back they asked if we heard any noise. Of course we said no, (We work all day & when we come home its dark; squirrels don't move around that much at night). They locked it up with a metal plate and took away the trap. Well guess what.... the Squirrel is still in there. It has been scratching around the metal plate causing HUGE damage in our roof .. and to make matters worse, the squirel decided to go on a road trip and now it has moved to the other side of the house- running up & down the walls! We bought more traps, called Critter control again & the tech said.. "IT should die soon!" (Tech didn't come out) He just told us to mark the wall so once it dies & the smell comes, we can cut it out!! Wait a min... WHAT!! Story gets better... very next day, Squirel scratched his way out of the walls & is now in the crawl space. Called Critter control again; left message. We decided to buy more traps, and a camera. the Squirrel walks up the camera and looks at it. Plus, it felt like she cared. I was then put in contact with a manager name Jamie. First, she was nice. Now, she's someone who cannot communicate within this dang company. When the tech finally got out, he was kind and respectful. He got the price, called someone, then that someone told them it's not only $630 for just traps & for them to empty traps, but $1000. I don't care at this point, my landlord's paying for it, whatever. The way I understood my conversation with the tech (after stating very frankly we NEED traps out here), he says they could be here latest Wednesday. Wednesday comes by and nothing. I reach out to Jamie, very upset because it's after 3pm and we have not seen or heard from anyone. Again, it felt like the same terrible communication.
