I keep coming back here because 1. the trainers are great and motivating and 2. they have a 6am workout that's early enough to get me to work on time! They're on ClassPass, so I book the workout about a half hour beforehand to make sure I can make it lol. The gym is very large, with a whole machine area for the treadmills, bikes, weight machines and free weights for people to work out on their own or with a personal trainer, plus a half basketball court in the back and a full one completely separate in another section of the gym. (By the way, you can book time to use the gym on your own via ClassPass.) It looks like a converted warehouse since the garage door looking entrance is open at all times, and it has the biggest ceiling fan I've ever seen for surprisingly effective cooling, even in the summer. They have a water fountain and sell bottled water if you forget to bring your own. They have small black microfiber towels stacked at the front desk that you would use to work down the equipment you use. There's a bucket on the turf with disinfectant spray bottles for cleaning. I first had a couple workouts with Christine, who is no nonsense but welcoming and attentive about prior injuries, form and corrections. Jose took over the Friday morning HIIT workouts from Christine, and he's been awesome! He's kind and clear with the delivery of his instruction even though the workouts are rough, and he keeps an eye out for each person in the workout. It's always a pleasure to stumble in at 6am and get a cheerful greeting from him, even if he kicks my butt. Try a workout here with any trainer, and you'll burn your calories and earn your next meal in motivating space alongside some badass dedicated members. I fully intended to sign up for this gym, possibly on a long term basis, however I was dissuaded by the following: Firstly, I was allowed a guest pass (promised on their website) UNTIL I brought up in front of management that I was living here on a month to month basis, to which they did not allow to me to have a trial membership or take advantage of biweekly membership. When they learned I had a monthly rental, they revoked all notions of this. I may sign a long term lease soon, and am testing out gyms. I was fully intent on training here... because I thought the hospitality of a 1 day pass is so rare.. but I'm glad I didn't.. There are enough dumbells to do a basic workout.. Although there are some courts and facilities, which I did not see.. This place did not have much in terms of equipment or weights in the main area, that I saw, not even a bench press when I was there.... read more

I came across ADAPT through ClassPass, and am so glad that I did! It appears that ADAPT is in the location of a former car shop, about a block off Biscayne Blvd and 135th Street. There is a private parking lot at ADAPT and also a lot of other customers were also parking on the curbs for additional parking options. When you walk into ADAPT, you're in their gym, and then you walk further into the group fitness area. With the group fitness area, I wasn't sure what the check in process was, but was greeted by Jorge and was checked in to the class. There were about 8 or so other customers in the 7 AM class that I attended, but Jorge still came over a lot to check on me despite having a decent amount of people in the class, and I really appreciated that. It made me feel valued as a customer. They had a workout of the day, but Jorge customized the workout to where I was at in my fitness level. The workout is truly a full body workout, and I left feeling worn out, but also refreshed for the day at the same time (exactly the way a workout should be!) I'll definitely be back for more workouts, and I recommend checking ADAPT out if you're in the area and are looking for a great fitness studio! read more

Adapt is by far the best gym I've ever been a member of. It's in a large warehouse with tons of square footage. If your looking for a "global gym" like LA Fitness this is not it; that being said they do offer tons of group classes and they have assembled some of the best trainers hand down!! They offer personal training, massage therapy, chiropractic care, cold plunge and sauna. The entire staff is extremely friendly and the moment you walk in the door there is no attitude; just friendly faces that want their members to succeed. They have an array of different classes for everyone, along side yoga, self defense and some amazing martial arts classes. I moved 4 months ago and have finally decided to write a review now because I felt compelled to share my experience at this Gym. Jorge and Scott are the co-owners of this gym and I could go on and on about how great they are but honestly you won't understand unless you get in the gym. What separates this gym from (insert some bullshit experience you've had at another gym here) rest are the owners. You can find both owners in the gym, you can find both of them instructing classes, you can find both of them practicing what they preach. ADAPT encompasses all of those things and more, and is absolutely one of the best gyms in South Florida. I can always count on getting a quality workout in when I go and since day one, the coaches have always been welcoming and push me just the right amount to do more than I think I can. The coaches really know their stuff, and are big on making sure that form is proper when doing the workout (which I find to be extremely important and helpful, especially when lifting heavier weights). I never liked working out before starting at ADAPT. They not only make me feel welcome, but they always push me to be better and make sure that my form is proper and my knee isn't acting up. The coaches are friendly and they definitely know what they are doing; they make you feel motivated even when the workouts suck - (meaning I think it's really hard). I have been going to Adapt fitness with my wife for about a year now. In the beginning of this year, I pushed myself a little too hard during a 5 hour surf session and ended up with a strained abductor muscle. At 45 year of age my groin injury was not healing as fast as I thought. I mentioned the injury to Jorge and discussed I had a family snowboard trip planned in a few weeks. I was worried I wasn't going to be able to enjoy the mountain. Jorge assured me that he could help and I scheduled about 6 sessions of one on one rehab style training with him. We started with the basics; core, hip movements and functional movements to strategically strengthen the area around the injured muscle. The last few sessions we incorporated strengthening the abductor directly. Long story short I was feeling solid enough to try and keep up with my teenage son. If you want to work with coaches that are very experienced, knowledgeable and focused on helping you meet your goals - this is the gym for you. All coaches are friendly and helpful, the workouts kick my butt every day and the environment is fun, friendly and very welcoming. They work with all people in various fitness levels and can adapt the workouts in case you have any injuries or restrictions.
