Finally, the power failed utterly to the problem circuits. Markarian sent Brandon Hill over in 15 minutes -- yes, FIFTEEN. He listened carefully to our description, gave his opinion that it was a utility problem, but that he would test for other possibilities first. After testing some of the circuits, he gave his hypothesis that we were having a phase problem: one of the two lines into the house was not supplying enough voltage. He tested the meter outside, showed us the low voltage on one line, and explained how the lines feed the circuits in a pattern that would cause the unpredictable outages. He also took pictures. He stood by while we called Eversource to make sure that we could answer all their questions. From initial call to final diagnosis, everyone at Markarian was efficient, courteous, and helpful. Brandon was friendly, professional, and easy to talk to and understand. I would recommend Markarian without hesitation.

And for the first time ever, I actually *see* someone working down there. The saleswoman is waiting on someone already and since I don't really *need* her help, I pick a shade out myself. I do what most people do -- I try one shade and put it back. Pick out another, put it back. I was handling the shades delicately and putting it back where I found them. The lady then proceeds to speak to me as if I were a 5 year old and talk down to me and chastize me in front of the customer that "if [I'm] patient, I'll help [you] in a moment.". I thanked her for her offer and said I can pick one out myself. To which she nastily replied that "that's not how we do it here." Really? Hmm... interesting, I thought. Considering that every time I've gone there, no one has ever asked me if I needed help. Ever. I proceeded to find my shade but after 5 minutes of the saleswoman's eye rolling and sighs every time I picked a shade while she helped that other woman, I just couldn't take it anymore. I'm a woman in my 30's, so I'll be damned if someone will treat me that way. So I took my lamps and left. Paid for one shade and drove to Target. Bought another shade for a hell of a lot less and had enough left over to buy some cute accessories for a new dress I just bought. So much for trying to help a small business in a down economy. Castle electric had a reasonable hourly rate and although they have a quote fee, that amount is put towards the job if you choose to use them. well I liked the quoted amount(s) after they inspected the job and how much it would cost, they gave me the possible costs based on what they thought and it ended up costing me the lower of the 2 estimates they provided. they even quoted a couple of jobs I have been thinking of for the future.

We had an electrician come to diagnose arc fault issues. - The electrician reported that the issue was due to a particular AC using too much amperage. But when we unplug the AC - issues still persist. - The electrician claimed (without measuring anything) that the AC used 20A, but the label says 11.5A - The electrician ended by recommending I pay $5000 to upgrade the Amperage for the entire apartment I immediately called the office so they could send a different technician to re-evaluate. They stonewalled me, refused to re-evaluate the issue, or admit the absurdity of the issue First call cost $360 (already very expensive) and Colman refused to send anyone to reinspect the issue or issue a refund.
