This is a really cool lookout spot. Definitely worth a visit. It doesn't get really busy.

Swing Over The Edge Used the I Amsterdam Card to go to the top of the A'DAM Lookout Tower for a beautiful 360 birds-eye view of Amsterdam. Definitely climb up the stairs to the roof for an open air experience. Want a little extra adrenaline rush? Swing over the edge on Europe's highest swing. Dangle your feet in the sky and enjoy the feel of the open air. SO MUCH FUN!! Take the free ferry from Amsterdam Centraal to reach the A'DAM Lookout Tower. The A'DAM Lookout Tower is on the I Amsterdam Card. The swing is 7.50 euros in addition to the entry for the tower. So worth it.

Just ten minutes from Centrum via ferry the A'DAM Lookout is an all-in-one hotel, overlook, bar, restaurant and amusement park. Easy to access and navigate guests travel up 20 stories in an elevator with light-show before choosing a VR Rollercoaster, over-the-edge swing or dinner. Touristy, with prices to match, staff is pleasant and everything is operated with safety and proficiency.

It's a nice way to see Amsterdam from up high. I got the I Amsterdam card so it was included. There are other things with additional cost (swing, games, and a full bar/restaurant. There is a free 5 minute ferry from central station. It's close to some other attractions there too. It was nice to see the city. If I go back I would do it again at night.

I was afraid to do this, as I don't like rollercoasters because of the motion making me sick. I was in Amsterdam with 4 other girls and they all encouraged me to go on the swing. It's about a minute if I'm remembering correctly and was under $20. It was actually raining a little bit while we were set to get on the swing. You are still allowed to get on if the rain isn't too bad. They take a video of you, which you get on the QR code from when you take your pictures before getting on the swing. It was a good experience although I was ready to get down after my legs swung twice lol you can ask them to let you down before the time if you want to. The views were pretty and so was the whole building itself. Pretty cool experience and I can't forget the elevator ride. We actually ate next door and didn't do the food bundle here so I can't quite speak on that.

This is one of our least favorite tourist attractions that we did. I was really excited for the lookout because of the videos I saw online, but it was pretty expensive for a extremely short amount of time. There are two different ticket options. One is a ticket to just get you up to the top of the observation deck and then there is a separate ticket in order to do the swing. The swing lasted about a minute and that included being raised up and lowered down. So for the amount of money that you pay, I don't think it's worth it because you don't really get to experience being up and out swinging for very long. It's almost like you blink and I and it's over. so my suggestion would be to pay for the ticket option to get you to the top of the observation deck. There a place that you could take a picture with the name and you could see all around the city being up that high.

This place is pretty amazing and has something for just about everyone! Came here to ride the swing that takes you out over the edge of the building! Also wanted to have a beer and some appetizers on the top floor which hosts a trendy bar / restaurant with great views and a section of glass floor you can look down! Service was extremely slow in the restaurant. Took a long time to be greeted and given menus. Another long wait for drinks and even longer for food ( thought they forgot about our food). Friendly but slow.

Super cute activity I did with my mom. Loved all the different interactive activities along the way. We took a green screen photo together, explored the mini museum, they even have a scenic bathroom, and a really cool rooftop. Lots of space to take in the views, lounge on some beanbags, and take photos on platforms. A great 360 view of the city and a really fun, slightly terrifying swing. It's really safe and the staff were extra friendly and helped take really cute photos. Definitely a nice activity for a tourist.

The high rise tower is right across the river from Amsterdam Central Station. There is a free ferry that runs day and night. This was my third trip to Amsterdam, I'm glad that I discovered the free ferry and this side of the river. The 22 story high rise was formerly offices for Royal Dutch Shell. They did a complete overhaul into a tourist destination. The swing off the side of the building is one of the World's best thrill rides. The VR roller coaster (Premium VR headset Meta (Facebook) Oculus) was a great way to get introduced to VR virtual reality headsets.

Fun but overcrowded during summer. Photo ops are cool, you can see the port the railway station and whole city. Beer and drinks galore!

Randomly searching for, "things to do in Amsterdam" while my jet lagged was raging, I found the A'DAM Lookout , which for some reason I thought was in Rotterdam, but is actually right in Amsterdam. When traveling I feel a little more adventurous so I took the ferry over from Amsterdam Centraal and headed into the building. There are multiple options here much like any touristy building with views, I opted for the standard entrance which was 14 Euro, I do believe it's cheaper booking online. When you enter they immediately take your photo behind a green screen for future purchases/downloads later. Once through you take the elevator up which features a really cool light show. Now, the day I was here it was super windy. Like weather warning winds. But I noticed the swing at the top of the building was still running. I said, "what the hell" and bought a 5 euro ticket to ride the swing. Before I get there, at the roof top there are some amazing photo ops and views of the city you should really take in. Honestly, it was so windy for me it wasn't enjoyable. Now the swing. They'll take your photo for you (on their phone which you can purchase later). Overall, I think the swing is about 45 seconds but no more than a minute. I was utterly terrified, mainly due to the wind but also because of the height. It's freaking high you guys. It was nice. I was happy I did it, but once was enough for sure. One level below there is a restaurant and seating areas where you can enjoy the views without experiencing the elements.

During my favorite visits, the bartenders explain each drink you order as they serve it and tell you the story. Every drink has a story. Sometimes they are busy or not interested and you don't get the story. I wouldn't have noticed that the drink tastes like a salad, and not in the bad way, had the bartender not told me the story. A couple of times I asked if they have merch for sale and one time they had pins which I bought. The next time I came, they were out of both pins and shirts. Bummer. The decor was very nice as well. I didn't try any food there. Now it comes to the important part of the review. It's all about the cocktails. I got the Beeswax Old Fashioned(17 Euros). It was very good and a nice twist on an old fashioned. My second drink was the Paradiso Manhattan(17 Euros) and it was a tasty cocktail with something extra. It came with a piece of chocolate that was made with mushroom powder. They paired well together. I can't give it five stars for one reason. The drinks were very good, but they were a little weak. I felt very little to nothing after my second drink. I'm not a big drinker and I have a low tolerance for alcohol. The drinks need to be a little stronger. More of a kick to them. I would still recommend Super Lyan to anyone that has the pleasure of visiting Amsterdam on holiday.

Carlota who answered the doorbell, was able to accommodate us at the bar (our preferred seating anyway). She took our coats, placed them in the coat closet up front and led us inside. Once seated, we were given gorgeous ruby red complimentary aperitif (hibiscus, honey, ginger). The drink menu is interesting, based on the concept of growing up, with more basic tastes to start and more mature complex tastes later on in life. (The drinks are more complex the later in the menu). I ordered the Awake at Last, and my husband ordered the Ruby Stone. Mine was sweet and coffee flavored and his was more tart and sour cherry flavored. When I tried his drink, I immediately felt nostalgic because it reminded me of umeboshi (pickled plum in Japanese food), so we ended up trading drinks. Both were great for supping. Sitting at the bar was fun, watching the bartender at his work. He was silent, focused, skilled, professional. So glad we checked it out! I didn't post pictures of the entrance or inside because I'll leave it to you to discover! (The fun of a speakeasy).

Most of the establishments looked pretty quiet and dead except for Smokey and the club next door. Since we weren't in the mood for clubbing, we decided to go to Smokey. The moment we walked in, I noticed that it totally lived up to its namesake and was totally... smokey. Too smokey. It almost seemed like there was a fire going on inside. The place was pretty packed and busy, but we managed to snag a little bar table by the door. It was next to the vending machine for ciggies and under a large clock, so I could keep tabs on exactly what time it was. :) I sat on a high bar stool by the wall, while my bf sat with his back towards the room. It wasn't the best position for him to be in, as people kept bumping into him as they were walking by. He got a beer, and I ordered a mint tea because I didn't feel like drinking any more alcohol. I loved how the mint tea came with tons of fresh mint leaves. Totally awesome. They also gave me a Pickwick English tea bag with it, which I didn't bother to put in, as I didn't want any caffeine so late at night. Let's just say I observed certain recreational activities in Amsterdam that I think the world should know about. Amsterdam is brand spankin' new to Yelp, after all. So they need all the reviews they can get. Smokey's is smack in the middle of Rembrandt Square, which is a haven for tourists. The inside resembles an above ground neon-lit cave. Pool tables in the back. Music videos playing on the flat screens. Every time I hear Kid Cudi's "Memories", I think of this place. Everyone stopped what they were doing to sing along :) Tables are communal. Most patrons are college-aged. They have a zig zag vending machine and they sell pre-rolled or bagged product. According to my traveling companion, their merchandise was much more pricey than at neighboring coffee shops (like Rokerij, which is awesome), but since Smokey's is a better hangout spot in a more central location - you pay a bit more. The quality is mediocre, though. I enjoyed a 4 euro pineapple strawberry smoothie at the bar. They don't serve alcohol here though, only smoothies, which I found to be quite common in the coffee shops of Amsterdam. The folks behind the counter were pretty nice folks, too. Overall, I would recommend Smokey's for the younger crowd.
