Adam Kirk has been our absolutely reliable "go-to" for windows, rain-gutters, and solar panel cleaning for a few years now. We were fortunate and had no Eaton Fire damage but we did have an awful lot of ash. Adam was one of our first calls after the Eaton Fire and he washed the roof, cleaned the gutters, and washed the solar panels. More recently we had an event at our house so he cleaned all of the windows in our very window-y mid-century house. The windows were poorly painted some years ago and he was nice enough to remove excess paint on the glass. Can't recommend him highly enough. We are now at the age where we are politely told, a lot, "oh gee, best not to climb on the roof anymore" so Adam is, in addition to making our house nicer, is helping us age in place. read more

IF I can give zero stars, I would. DO NOT CALL THIS GUY. He is friendly over the phone and then when you meet him, something is little off. We agreed on a day/time to do some work... He wasted my time and then after showing up to the property, did a walk around, was friendly to neighbors and then said "I'm gonna get my things from the car and get started..." I contacted Adam for another window cleaning service, as our windows hadn't been properly cleaned since the fires. I let him know that we had recently pressure washed above some of the windows to remove soot and had already cleaned the patios in preparation for a celebration of life event for my mother, which was scheduled for the following day. Adam confirmed he'd arrive at 9 a.m. I responded with "OK" and mentioned that I still had some sleeping children, so if possible, to do the bedrooms last. I also reminded him of the cleaning we had already done. He replied with "Got it" and said he would text me when he arrived. At 9:20 a.m., he texted that he was at the door. Apparently, he knocked and tried to call me three times within seven minutes, and then sent a message saying, "I guess it's not important," along with the contact of someone else I could call instead. During that time, my cleaning service and gardeners unexpectedly arrived, and I also cut my finger and had gone upstairs to tend to it--leaving my phone behind. No one heard the door, but eventually my cleaner let me know someone was looking for me. I immediately went downstairs, looked for Adam, and even walked up the side yard. My gardener pointed out that he was in his car. I waved at him, but he drove off. I called and texted to explain why I missed him at the door and that I had expected he would just start the job since I had confirmed everything with him. His reply was simply, "I'll pass." Frustrated, I told him I couldn't believe how unprofessional the situation was and said I would be writing a negative review. In response, he sent me this message: "Sure tell them on the review that I said you're a f***ing moron for spraying hard water all over the windows and letting it dry. Whoever power washed your place is even lower IQ than yourself. I can give you more material if you like because I have more." That was the last contact. I've never experienced a professional service provider speak to a customer like that--especially one hired to clean something that is, naturally, dirty. At first, I thought maybe he was just having a bad day, but after reading other reviews, it seems this type of abusive behavior isn't uncommon. I likely wouldn't have written this, except that I had already given him a good review in the past--and now I feel that was undeserved. read more

Adam did an amazing job cleaning our gutters! He thoroughly cleaned out our gutters and even ran water through it to make sure it was properly draining. He also installed mesh metal wiring to make sure leaves and debris will not get stuck in the gutter drain. He is honest, professional and super friendly. He also offered to come back again if I was experiencing any problems. He also knows a lot about homes in general and was able to answer all my questions regarding the foundation of property. I just had a very strange interaction with Adam. He came to our appointment, we talked about the job and he was friendly and professional. Everything was fine. Then he went out to his van and drove away. He texted me a minute later saying he was going to pass on the job but won't tell me why despite me asking twice. All I can think of is he didn't like my barking dog though he said he was fine with her barking at the beginning of our meeting. I've used his company in the past, so this is just really weird and not cool (unless there's an understandable reason for why he did this, but he's keeping that a secret for some reason). On the day of the appointment, he was very timely, in fact he was running a little early as he had completed another job ahead of schedule so he called to ask if he could come earlier, which was very polite and professional. He did an extremely thorough job and even checked on my roof to make sure there were no leaks. Adam is very competent and knowledgable and I believe him to be honest and trustworthy. After going through his reviews here on Yelp, I decided to contact Adam for rain gutter cleaning. First off, he's very professional. I know many contractors today can be very busy, so contacting him by text seemed response. After a few text exchanges on what I needed and based on his professional assessment he was able to give me a reasonable quote. Once he arrived, he went over the areas of concern I had with my rain gutters. During the process, I never felt rushed. During the cleaning he also took the time to point out potential problem areas of my gutters that could averted with a few suggestions. I was so impressed by his thoroughness that I also had him clean out an empty birds' nest that was lodged in the corner of the patio that was littered with bird matter. My patio was sparkling clean after the power wash and window clean and thanks to him identified am unsealed gap in one of my patio windows. He also gave me a referral to someone that could fix the problem areas he saw, plus the fact that he cleans up the area really nicely when he's finishing the job. BEWARE, TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. I have used Adam in the past 4 times, I've even left him a 5 star yelp review years ago in exchange for a discount off my services. (which explains how he has so many 5 star reviews) Today I removed my previous 5 star review because he is so rude and unprofessional. While confirming our appointment, he informed me that he will have to raise his previous price by $100, which I agreed to since I understand it's hot outside and it's a lot of work. He was scheduled to show up today at 9am. He called me around 8:40am letting me know he is running about 30 minutes late due to traffic, ok cool, life happens. I clear my schedule so I can wait for him to come. He shows up at 10:30am (1.5 hours later, not 30 min), ok cool, I had to push my schedule back more to accommodate him, but it's ok, I understand LA traffic. He shows up and tells me that he remembers how my glass fence was hard to clean the first time he came since there were a lot of hard water stains (which he ended up charging me extra for). I informed him that since that first time, we've installed a water softener and also converted our sprinklers near the fence to a drip system. Funny he brought it up since he's cleaned it 3 times since that initial time and have had no complaints. There were however, some smudges of dirt on the glass left by the bears in this area trying to climb onto the fence which I pointed out to him. I told him I don't expect it to be perfect and as long as he tries his best then it's fine. He proceeds to tell me that he will pass and just rudely left. I didn't hire a window cleaner to clean my smudge free, spotless, sparkling glass, I hired a window cleaner to clean glass that is dirty and can be quickly cleaned with windex and a squeegee. Apparently, Adam now being so popular, decided that he is too good for jobs that actually require him to work, *GASP* and will only stick to jobs that will require the minimal amount of effort. Adam is a complete flake. He assured me twice I was on the calendar and then didn't show up. When I texted him, he said, "sorry". That's it. That left me in a lurch. Filthy windows when we had guests from out of the country staying with us. Adam made no effort to make amends (such as suggesting he would come the next day or at all, or how about offering a discount or something!). Nothing. When I texted him a couple of weeks later to try and schedule, no response at all. I needed my windows cleaned by the end of 3 days. I found Adam on Yelp. Impressed by all the 5 star reviews I reached out. He answered right away and would try to accommodate my schedule. I never met "ADAM" because he was too busy to come but he sent a great crew of 4 that showed up on time, cleaned all the windows, sills, frames and screens perfectly and were very polite and conscientious and fast.
